They did what any human would do is try to defend themselves - and they did so in a very agreeable manner. Belief doesnt happen in a few minutes. It takes days, sometimes even years. So please don't bash them even by calling them simple things like silly or ignorant. What if they were leaning towards islam but then read the comments and immediately get dejected.
