Do you have a trick to making taper candles secure that I didn't try? I'd love to hear about it.

There are wax strips you can buy too. Kind of like the tacky strips, but made of wax like the buttons. You can wrap them around the candle or rip off little chunks to fill in gaps. It's malleable enough to form it however you need to make it work.

Those sound like a great option for keeping candles in place. Thanks for the info! I appreciate when someone shares useful information. 👍

@@AdorntheTable I was trying to figure out what to call them to search online since I can't find the ones I bought a million years ago. I guess they're called fitters or adapters. The only place I can see that has them in a physical store is Hobby Lobby.

If one doesn't mind a slight imperfection in the appearance just stick the candle into the candelabra straight and use a torch lighter to melt a little bit of the wax on the candle's circumference right above the upper edge of tge cup. Try not to heat up the cup too much while doing this. The molten wax will run down, fill the void and be stable once the wax has cooled off.
Works everytime unless the cup is way too large.
Alternatively use some wax crumbles from an old candle. Place them into the wedged gap between the candle and the cup and use the torch lighter to melt the wax in place.
    Greetings from Mitchell, SD 😉

Thanks for your suggestions. I like the idea of melting some wax crumbles to keep the candle standing straight.
