Some fans are happy with their forward line that leaves them mid table at the end of the season. Its unacceptable if a striker is not scoring at least 25 goals a season and wingers scoring at least 15. 1 goal every 2 games and 1 goal every 3 games should be their aim, the amount of cash they receive is unforgivable not to produce at least that.
Typical Palace they have a list of targets for years and then only get the target by over paying. They could have purchased this guy under PV for under 20m but refused not wanting to pay that much at the time. Nketieh is not a bad player & it's not always about goals if you are helping in other areas.
We would have lost Eze too if it was up to Parish, there he was recently mouthing off about how he was surprised nobody came in for him. I've always stuck with Parish as a steady pair of hands but it's wearing thin big time now, sick of treading water or flirting with relegation every year
But in all fairness players are going down with injuries like this across the division too just depends on the depth of the squad, we never really replaced Olise and I don't think Glasner was given the right players to kick on from last season with! also Kamada, struggling to adjust to the pace, and Nketiah or Sarr are yet to find the back of the net with almost a dozen games in 🤔!! With just a point cushion us from the drop zone....
Some of the comments below are unfair or plain misguided. The fact is that Glasner received way too much praise last season when Oliseh,Eze, Mateta all hit top form concurrently and Wharton & Munoz bedded in so swiftly....and now he is attracting rather too much opprobium - surely it's mostly down to the personel available ? A near full strength Palace accounted for Spurs [with more to spare than the scoreline suggests] just a fortnight back - no complaints then were there. Wharton has been doing fine this season ; superb at Everton especially but has been carrying an inhibiting groin niggle , now hopefully being resolved. Having said that , deploying a centre-back & debutant in central midfield was asking for trouble against an in-form , full strength Fulham. Kamada & Nketiah have been disappointing , true , but i don't think the 3421 system suits the latter. Sarr has been raced too lightly and should be given a proper run in the inside-right slot - i feel he can develop a chemistry with Munoz on that flank given time. Shame LaCroix gave away the chance which ESR took well , as he'd been flawless hitherto and looks a good acquisition to me. A team with Hughes/Lerma , Wharton/Doucoure & Eze back should be able to navigate a way out of the drop zone...famous last words i know 🙂
@@jac5256 I'm a Liverpool fan, so we're doing okay in midfield at the moment, but he seems like a big talent, that's for sure. Looks like he could go for Rice money if he keeps it up.
Not really the case with Japanese players anymore, as there are so many Japanese plying their trade in Europe these days that there’s no novelty or wow factor. Also applies to a lesser degree to Korean players too, bar Son because he’s been a level above and the best Asian player of the last decade so he’s still hugely marketable. If a player from China, Indonesia, India, or even Malaysia or Thailand crack a big league then you’d see the huge commercial benefit.
Sadly it looks like we'll go down, especially now that Ipswich won. Parish & Freedman have to take the blame. Should never have sold Ayew. But it would help if we weren't so soft at the back. 😀🦅⚽️

Steve Parish deserves it all after the way he acted in the summer pimping himself and the club out on the radio. What an awful decision it was to turn the 70m down 😂 could have rebuilt half the team for that
Guys - why the slagging off of Parrish & Freedman ? In my eyes , all they've done is run the club within its means... and picked up some absolute gems on the way , at very fair prices , from lower divisions and abroad [ Eze , Oliseh, Wharton, Doucoure, Guita, LaCroix, Soure spring to mind ]. To keep the club in the top flight for 12 seasons [ incidentally, not once still in danger of relegation come the last day ] , building a new academy and with substantial ground improvements in the air i think some perspective is called for. I do agree that recruitment this summer could have been better resourced and targeted [ where is the wing-back cover ? Ward & Schlupp ? 😞!! ] but the overall, bigger picture reflects well on those at the helm imo.

Racism😂 Watch any game from this season and you can see Kamada is by far the worst player on the pitch. He’s not physical enough for the premier league and he doesn’t appear to get into good positions off the ball. Playing with him is genuinely like playing with 10 men.
@@NK-bj8li Kamada record was not good even in the other leagues he played in & in the Prem you need to be able to do multi roles he clearly cant do this.
