Indonesian is similar to Malaysian, because we are the same language. and Malaysian ancestors came from our country. My advice is to go to Bromo or Ijen Crater, it's just that the air there is quite cold.

it's amazing that Carolina & Jay can eat local foods of Indonesia and seem to like them all making me want to eat rawon, meatballs, milo shakes also. This night street food market in Surabaya is very huge, there are not so many night market in other cities as big as the Kodam's Night Street Food Market. The videos and reviews are very good and the sellers are friendly and honest. Mantap

If you want to know " Jajanan / kue tradisional Surabaya" You can visit Pasar Blauran. Abaut open 8.00 - 10.00. morning. I hope you explore Moutain Bromo. ❤

Apart from BOROBUDUR TEMPLE, there are also many natural tourist attractions... Magelang is also a cool city... you can see the mountains that surround Magelang.

Such a great video! Loved that you two are walking around trying different things. One of my biggest worries with traveling is what you described at 6:30. See, I'm allergic to seafood, so if that were seafood in the middle of the cheese looking marshmallow thing, I'd be a bit uneasy. lol

Since you are at surabaya, you should check Pakuwon city mall. There is a place beside the mall that u can try some meat to grill. It start open from 5 pm until night and the event finish until october. Have a great adventure and welcome to surabaya.

Come To The Biggest Mall In Indonesia Pakuwon Mall Surabaya Thats My Favorite Mall In Surabaya.
Tourist or foreigners usually only stay in Bali, Jakarta, Batam (riau islands near Singapore). A little bit in Bandung, Medan, yogyakarta. Surabaya is not tourist city,.
We do agree! But it was nice to stop by and see the maritime city and how the locals live here!
If You too go to Surabaya again. You can go to the "Pasar Atom", "Pecinan Market", "Gwalk" there many lokal food.
Try also the food name is Gado-Gado, Tahu Campur, Nasi Pecel, Tahu Tek, Rujak Cingur, Rujak Manis, mie ujung pandang, sate ayam, sate kambing, etc...
Many lokal food you can try in every city in indonesia hehehe

You should! That Street Food market was one of the best ones we've ever been to 🙌 Bahasa Indonesia was definitely easier to learn haha but we also spent more time on Java where people did speak limited English! So we were kid of forced to learn quickly 😆

FYI, Indonesian currency is Rupiah. Not Indonesian Rupee as you said on the beginning of this video. Rupee and Rupiah is absolutely different.

Jay, you're in my city!! It's not the cheapest city in Indonesia, but still, if you chose wisely $10 can fill you up until you’re sick. And KODAM is a suuperr wise choice. Other option I'd recommend would be Taman Bungkul. I'd implore you always has a bottle of drinking water ready by your side, it's really hot these days

that yellow stripes with liquid cheese in it actually kind of a Fish cake with cheese filling so yes it is "seafood"
and- condensed milk (used to be called susu kental manis) is not considering milk anymore bc it's not actual susu/milk
So that was a seafood there haha I knew it!
