This movie hit hard. Also I wanted to let you know some facts regarding the meaning behind the main character's names:
真冬 Mafuyu = the middle of winter/ midwinter
立夏 Ritsuka = the start of summer
春樹 Haruki = spring/ spring tree
秋彦 Akihiko = wise/ talented autumn boy
雨月 Ugetsu = rainy moon/ a period of weather where the moon can't be seen because of the rain (typically in the autumn season in Japan)
由紀 Yuki = not 100% positive, but the two characters literally mean: reason + narrative/story (in a different kanji, Yuki can also mean "snow" which is associated with Mafuyu's name as well.

snow (yuki) cannot exist without winter (Mafuyu), but winter can exist without snow.
if u didn't notice, mafuyu actually put the three name in this song. ugetsu,kaji, and haruki. that's why ugetsu is able to tell that haruki is the one.

I love it that you also gave Given a chance :) It's a truly great movie and i love the focus on those 2 pairs so much in this. Shed tears of sadness and joy both while watching it.
It was so good, this is what the series needed, and I wasn't disappointed.
I'm really glad when people watch Given ,Its kind of a confession lol but this anime was recommended to me by my crush (she still is) . I remember her showing me the fuyu no hanashi ep and crying telling me to give it a try too. I watched it and I related to Haruki a lot and somehow this show became something very special to me .If I was in Haruki's place and something like this happened with me I'm sure I will too not be able to make myself dislike her, that's how I see it . I am completely fine with people hating Akihiko but then again I think its just something you understand after liking someone for years . In my case I figured it will be better if we stay friends and seeing Haruki be able to get his love feels like I've found mine too . This sounds very weird I do get it but I hope anyone who relates to me will feel better after reading this .
Also I've read the manga idk if they will show this in anime or not but it's told there that Kaji liked Haruki since way before any of the drama between them happened ,it was just that his heart was not ready to leave Ugetsu and he was convincing himself he still loves him but Ugetsu knew he could only devote himself to either his music or his bf fully,he had to choose one so he choose music and Akihiko was left there clinging to him not fully understanding why he does not like him anymore when it was just that Ugetsu wished for Aki to leave him as he knew he could not fully respond to his loyalty and just wanted him to hate him and find someone better , Akihiko haters will not like this but just consider this opinion coming from someone who has read the manga around 10 times 😂. I'll just say this shows how complicated human feelings are.

They recently announced another Given OVA coming at some point in the next year, I think. You probably already have a queue of stuff on reserve already, but along a similar vein, I recommend Yuri on Ice, if you haven't already watched it. They've announced a movie for it, so it would be a good time to hop on that train at some point before it's released. The music is beautiful, the animation is top-notch and it's criminal they haven't announced a season 2. lol

Oh nice, I was hoping for another season, but another OVA is better than nothing, I suppose. I've also heard that Yuri on Ice is really good. Perhaps eventually, I'll be able to watch it on the channel.

That's completely understandable, I probably wouldn't forgive him either, but I can understand why Haruki forgave him as well.
