what are those tiny little squares by the leads called? I think i'm missing the one closest to the contact points between the board and the replacement hdmi port. Thanks.
Im surprised those components under the hdmi port dont fall off when you heat from below. That would have me paronoid even tho i see everybody does it this way.

If you've tried the options from safe mode already (restart, clear cache, rebuild db, reset) and its still stuck, then your final option may be to reinstall the system software via USB. You can download from Sony and try that: www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/ps5/system-software/#pc

what temp is soldering iron set to?
My iron is set to 380c.
