Lets be real South Park was WAY MORE controversial than the Boondocks yet they've been on a quarter of a century while the Boondocks took hits. Boondocks deserves to still be on and they're needed more now

They were on two different networks. Boondocks was on Adult Swim, and South Park with C.C.
South Park was mainly two people doing all the voices while Boondocks had actual guests appearances which were noticeable thru their satire. Guess which one demanded more money?

I am not exaggerating when I say that I've been waiting for this interview. I'm a huge fan of Carl Jones. Dude is so talented and so hilarious.

Carl Jones is the driving force behind a lot of intelligent message driven comedy/animation and deserves his flowers and I'm glad Erykah didn't make him dress funny.
I always assumed after Aaron McGruder left a lot of the original Boondocks staff went with him.

Carl was the heart of the Boondocks at least a major component.
Carl was a vital component but Aaron Mcgruder was the heart of the boondocks and that was definitely noticed during his absence of the 4th season

This was an EXCELLENT interview. My husband and I, plus tons of pp I know, love the Boondocks! I pray Aaron and Carl would mend the broken fences. They were a creative and loving working family with a huge impact on our culture ❤✊🏽

First time learning about Carl Jones, good friend put me on to Boondocks back when picked up all the seasons on DVD. I do miss the Boondocks, wish it was back but love to learn about Jones new work too. Following now, great stories.
I will personally pay $500-$1000 to have one more pure season of Boondocks. This show is that important for us. Right under Dave Chappelle for this era

I remember when Beanie Mack mentioned his cartoon with pics of the characters in his 106 & Park interview back in the day! I was looking forward to that & wondered what happened to that project! Didn't know Carl Jones was involved! They should DEFINITELY still do that project! There's a HUGE gap missing in black, adult cartoon comedy since he Boondocks/Black Dynamite series left!

Back in high school, '01-'05, i had my hands on the comic strips before the show came out. It was a hard adjustment because the comic strip were short and very entertaining. The show grew into me during the 2nd season when Uncle Ruckus performed an exorcism on Mr. Dubois. The 4th season was a sure sign that the show was going to end.

Everyone had the big bowl of cereal and the floor model TV in the 80’s. My show was Fat Albert every Saturday morning and then Soul Train after all the cartoons went off.
I have the compete season and I Drew the characters since high school. I Love The Boondocks

More good black shows will be even better. There's a bunch of black content on Tubi but it's mostly more trashy, ignorant black shows and movies. You can make only so many hood shoes and movies.

LOVE Boondocks! Really surprised its not on Digital in the UK. Rewatching S1-3 on DVD at the moment and I never watch DVD's nowadays lol, ALL my collections are digital. Boondocks is the last boxset I own because I cant watch it any other way!
