Hi there THANKYOU very much for uploading this video....This was brilliant. Clear, simple no fuss and straight forward and I was able to complete my lock replacement following every step of your video.I can't thank you enough.
Thanks for this - thought I would be up for big $$ to get someone to do this for me - saved me big time and life is so much easier with 1 key instead of 5!!
Just to add, on my Elddis motorhome I was struggling a bit to re assembine the plastic bits and springs because I didn't really want to take the door off so I left it in situe, which meant the springs kept dropping down under gravity, so I decided to put a tiny bit of superglue on the top ring spirals which took five seconds and then it was really easy. I would advise anyone to take a clear photograph before you dismantle, but your video was great because I could freeze it at any point. Thanks again for uploading.
Very good video he is spot on as I had taken mine off and couldn’t remember which way it went back Don’t use supper glue like the last comment Take your time and take the door off lay it down and follow the video Big thumbs up for me
Hi Jimmy Great info I found that getting the lock barrel was out a pain to jiggle free I removed the small O ring & then I was able to see the little brass tab move & slip out in the slot First 5 minutes stupid me turned the key away from that slot Thanks
Yep same here push button and key were playing up. Unscrewed the two screws to see what was going on slowly opened the cover and the explosion happened.....Thank You for this video was doing my head in trying to work out what went where. Put it back together, with the door in vertical position on mine just a little, more tricky.
All good if your hatch hinges DOWNWARD - If your hatch hinges sideways, like a door, it is quite hard to reinstall all the springs at once! RECOMMEND using SUPERGLUE to carefully stick the spring to the BLUE plastic bit first. It is then really easy to hold the two clips and springs with one hand, and fit the cover while the spring on the blue plastic bit stays put! Thanks for the video - it's great - and also thanks for the comments on removing the O-ring so you can use a normal small screwdriver to take out the barrel.
Simple tip and no thin rod required. Once you have removed the lock mechanism out of the door (as in the video), turn the lock over to look at the back, remove the O ring and you can see the gold locking tab. Press in with a thin screw driver and the lock comes out. Replace barrel as in video.
Yeah good informative VID, but like Thomas below I couldnt get the brass lug to move so removed the back rubber o ring and depressed the brass lug from there. Cheers. (Graeme), Carnoustie. Scotland.
Thanks for the video. What the f... this loks security is 0, anyone can open the locks by removing the barrel from outside ... now I know why my caravan compartment has missing barrel top metal sheet, someone try to pull it out by grabbing it.

Top. Thank you for the Top Video (Y)
Thanks for sharing video. Got me out of the s##t 🤣🤣
peter b not a problem at all!
An easier way. I removed the dust cover at the rear of the barrel and pushed down on the little brass locking bit.
Thanks really helpful
How do you get the barrel out of the black plastic part ours are stuck ???
Thanks :-)
I did this exactly and now I can't open the hatch even though the lockes are unlocked . Any thoughts ?
Instead of buying new barrels and throwing the others away, has anyone had their barrels re-keyed by a locksmith?

2891 user you can’t pull them out if they are locked
