In this video I am doing a caravan repair. Replacing the front outside locker door in our Bailey Unicorn Seville. This was much harder than I thought it would be!!

All in all not too bad Charlie, I wish you had given more time\detail as to replacing the lock barrel though.

Thanks. The door hinges are pretty easy to remove. There are two, one top and bottom. Each hinge has four protruding fingers for want of a better word. These slide into slots on both the door and the frame of the door. It's kind of difficult to describe, but when you do it, you will understand.
Hi Charlie. Can you advise how you changed over the lock barrel on the locker door. I’m scared of breaking the plastic cover on the new door and can’t remove the old barrel either. Any advice please. Your locker door video is brilliant 😊

Hi Charlie. I found another way to sort the lock barrel. On the new door you remove the back of where the old barrel will go. The clue is the small holes and I used a set of picks from Amazon (£10) which I’ve used on my Harley for all sorts of jobs. Once the back is off, you can just take out the original barrel and it’s surround and pop it in to the new door…no barrel removal needed in the end. The plastics are prone to breaking so do this as carefully as possible. I also asked Prima Leisure for instructions but it’s obviously an industry secret!! They just sent me a link to find my nearest technician…blooming useless!! 😩. Anyway your video was fabulous and I’ve checked some of your other videos too. Keep up the brilliant work Charlie. Sorry Charlie, but the only thing you showed us was how to remove and clean the insert. Not much good I'm afraid. The back of my lock has broken so I need to know how to put my old barrel into my new door
Did the new door come with all the springs etc ? I haven't got the key barrel with mine so wondering if I need to buy the door and just a new key barrel ?
The door came without the inner panel, or the door lock barrel or the hinges. Everything else was there, including the lock mechanism with springs.

How do you change the lock?
To be honest James. I really struggled to get the lock out of the old door. Ended up butchering it a bit to get it out. I think on reflection there is a proper way of removing the lock. Maybe search TH-cam for the diffinitive answer.

I hack sawed the lock out of the old one, but I’m struggling to place it back into the next door.. your video has massively helped for the majority
Re putting the lock in the new door. I found that when I popped it in ot was a bit loose. So I simply wrapped some plumbers PTFE tape around it and it works great. Glad the video helped.
I’m sorry to be a pain, but my lock won’t stay in the barrel at all, it’s like the last notch on the lock won’t come out to keep it in the actual barrel? If that makes any sense…
I has the same issue the PTFE tape solved the problem
