    You're a brilliant teacher Perth, explaining everything so well and easy. Problem is for most of us asian languages are so difficult, I guess the same most asian people find quite hard to learn latin-based idioms. Thanks so much for these instructional videos though, help a lot.

    I've been learning Thai by myself for the past 8 months and I'm determined to learn and know every continent and vowel, the sound l, and how the Thai language works. I've watched a 58 minute video repeatedly and catching things and understanding things I didn't before and now make sense since I had practice a section at a time. Not only do I watch that video but I continue to watch others teach(such as yourself) and learn that way. There are days where I don't practice or even listen to Thai but when I do I put my all into it. I'm not giving up and I'm determined to learn and continue learning my best. One of the problems I will have is speaking it correctly since I have no one to practice with or know anyone to correct me. Thank you for continuing teaching others and making it really simple and easy to understand.

    Thank you for the great videos! You’d make an amazing language teacher. You take your time, your pronunciation is clear and you break it down into easy sections. I really appreciate the colour coordinations with the sentence structure. It makes the break down of the sentence easier to see.
    Also the way you don’t overwhelm with new vocabulary. You teach us plenty of vocabulary without feeling like we are running into a wall of vocabulary.

I personnally struggled a lot with pronouns (singular, plural, polite, familiar-Go/meung/Ter), the directions (Klai meaning near as well as far), the tenses (present, future, past), the use of the words (wah, bah), singular/plural. This is great. I knew yak and aou but I didn't know about the usage of each. I knew yak+infinitive, but not yakdai or yakhai. I remember looking up aou but I couldn't find information on when it was used. I've heard mai aou plenty of times and aou a few times, but I didn't know if it had a different usage or if mai aou was a fossilized phrase that literally meant "don't want" but had an idiomatic usage more like "stop" and if aou was mostly only used there. So this is really helpful and informative.
    The breakdowns are great and the color coding is super useful. It may be even more useful to make each part of speech a different color and different words that are the same part of speech different shades so you still have the one to one color coding.
    Also, I know there are difficult parts of Thai, like tones when you never distinguished them before, but I am eternally grateful that it doesn't change parts of words. Conjugating and all that is the bane of my language learning.

    It's funny the fact that this language is harder than Spanish when it comes to pronunciation because of the tones, but when it comes to grammar, Spanish is way harder, because we basically can change the order of the words, when we say I WANT TO EAT FOOD, in Spanish we say;
    [-yo quiero comer comida
    -quiero comer comida
    -me quiero comer la comida
    -quiero comerme la comida
    -yo me quiero comer la comida
    -yo quiero comerme la comida]
    Any of these options mean basically I WANT TO EAT FOOD, Spanish it's different to other languages because it can be funny if you get to learn it, but it also can be the hardest and most confusing language in the world, lucky for me, Thai seems to be easier to learn than Spanish ( talking about grammar) the thing I think I would struggle with is Thailand pronunciation and writing LoL

    I love learning languages & dialects. In Malaysia, previously we have different languages lessons conducted on the national radio programme (KLFM) on hourly basis (12-1 pm) every week days where callers are invited to participate in learning and Thai language was one of the languages. I had called in many times & even recorded the programmes in my Walkman. Nice to chance upon your channel here & hope to learn more from you! 😀😀

    Thanks for the useful video! I didn't know there were so many variations on อยาก even after being in Thailand for several months. Something I've been curious about is the difference between อยาก (yaak), เอา (aaou), ขอ (khaaw) and ต้องการ (thawng gan). They all seem to be variations on "to want/request" but I'm not sure which contexts to use them in (other than yaak and aou which you have clarified here very nicely!)

    Thank you Perth for this helpful video, i really loved it, love all ur basic thai videos !!!
    Story time no one asked for but I wanted to share; when I came across your channel I actually had no idea you were an actor as well, one of your basic thai videos just popped up in my recommended when I was searching for learn thai videos and you had like 2 uploaded at that time and i found them so helpful so that's why I subscribed and then i randomly found out you were one of the actors that played in my engineer 1 or 2 months after that and that's when i decided to check it out hahah ,,, i really enjoy all of your content and live streams and although i don't comment much and i don't have a membership on your channel (cause i dont have the attention span to focus on one thing at a time mostly) i just want you to know you're a really cool person and I'm really looking forward to seeing your future works and content ! I would like to study Japanese too, I am passionate about anime and manga (and it all started from there). I would love to see more of your videos, especially because you explain the pronunciation of words very well. Thai writing is beautiful, I would also like to know how to write it! Thanks for everything, you are a very good actor and a very good teacher! From an Italian fan of yours 🌸😊
