Hey guys! It's pretty hard to believe it's been 4 years since 'My Engineer', the first ever show I acted in, was on air. I've always felt the same about Ram and King being an underrated couple.
Perth you should make your own company and make My Engenieer season 2 😂😭💕 you're so good woth storyline. Also I feel (not to bash anyone but ) most shows coming out now are just filled with toxic storyline. They're good but I also wanna see something wholesome and I haven't seen that at all in recent times.

I wouldn't say toxic, because I think overall tghe industry is a lot better with things like consent and stuff (at least a lot of them, there are obviously always some that are not) but yeah wholesome seems not to be 'in' right now. Lots of gangster, mafia and action stuff at the moment, not so much cutesy and wholesome.

RamKing has always been my favorite couple! I love that what drew King to Ram would have been what would have deterred others. And I love how you slowly relaxed your facial muscles as the relationship between Ram and King grew closer. THAT is amazing acting! Also, your lead-in to your sponsor on this video was so clever!

To be honest, I'm shocked at how fast time flies. when I first watched "my engineer" I was 14, and this year I'm 19. I'm very sad that we won't get a second season, but I'm incredibly happy that I can watch your and Talay’s videos and streams, and I don't think I've ever felt so close to any blogger. It's so cozy. as for the RamKing, I think this is the most wonderful love line among all the series that I've seen, but if things could take a turn for the worse in the second season, then maybe his absence is for the best.

Perth is the reason why I watched my engineer cause Ram looked so interesting, and RamKing is the reason why I kept watching, and rewatching the series. They were literally one of the iconic side couple syndrome, and I hoped for more of them when the series ended. Even though I'm not disappointed, I would love to watch them together again, no matter the story, cause I know Perth and Talay would do a great job.

I watched My Engineer after years of already watching BL. My very first was Love Sick the series, right when S2 just started airing. And you're completely right about there being too many shows to keep up with nowadays. It's 4 years after My Engineer aired (which to me sounds crazy, like I was still doing my very first internship at the time and now I've just finished college) but even now it's one of my favorites to rewatch. A big part of that is RamKing, but I also just truly adore the cast and the story. Anyways, thank you Perth for keeping the show a little bit alive!
I agree that RamKing are incredibly underrated, Thara and Frong were also a massive breath of fresh air in bl's. Their disagreements weren't directly about the relationship, and the growth (across most characters) in particular was what got me back into bl's. I was looking forward to a second season not only for RamKing to have a happy ending, but for Thara and Frong to grow a little more
Will forever miss RamKing. Talay Perth deserved a separate series.
There were a few series that we were promised second seasons for, and that we really, really wanted. But never got. My Engineer is definitely on that list.
Every time I hear about "My Engineer" RamKing is the main theme and that people want to see more of them. You can be proud of your work!
Perth, your ideas suggest that RamKing may not have seen each other after the last sad scene in My Engineer, but if you want to have them apart for a while, how about having Ram return after spending some years with his mother's family? Maybe even being stuck there because of the COVID flight restrictions. Anyway, thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Being autistic, I understood Ram more than I had expected and so I've watched it several times. I was grateful for how it ended because it made me feel like even though S2 didn't come, it felt like all the ends were wrapped up.
30 is better than the alternative, eh? I turned 40 last year and it's just a level up. 😂
I liked Ryan's character and it was obvious what a challenge he had, but he did a great job. I wish that he had continued acting. I would still like to see My Engineer 2 but, of course, it would have to take place after everyone has graduated college but it could still work.
I think he did a great job as well. Beside the language issue his expressions really conveyed the feelings. Apart from RamKing MekBoss were my other favorite couple.

As someone who is a year older than you, and had that exact same reaction to saying the words "I'm turning 30", I hope you (and anyone else who needs to hear it) will take these words as encouragement: It's okay, the world doesn't really notice. I mean that to be as supportive as possible - we, as people, can make a huge deal about the number of an age. But, at the end of the day, your time is still yours and as long as you're happy with what you're doing with it, then let's go!
But, if anyone isn't content with what they're doing with their time - it's also not too late to try something new. Hell, I went back to school for a master's degree when I turned 30, because I wasn't happy with my job. Do I feel old around all these young whippersnappers? Yeah, sometimes. I'm also really excited about going to class and learning about a topic I actually find interesting, which you couldn't convince college/university-me to even fake it for one class back then.
Perth, thanks for spending the time that you do with us. I'm happy to hear that you and Talay have remained good friends throughout the years. I feel like my biggest takeaway whenever I finish a BL series is always along the lines of "I hope they had fun shooting it", because I would like the actors (such as yourself) to continue working in this industry so that I can continue admiring their talents. However, I'm also aware that this industry is really tough, so if you can walk away with an addition to your support system, I'm relieved. Best of luck to you on whatever you're pursuing next!

The thing about RamKing is that they were interesting characters in their own right. They had distinct personalities and interests. To this day, I still think King is one of the most interesting characters from a BL series. I would absolutely watch an older version of RamKing if the story was right.

24:20 It is super true, I did watch My Engineer because I stumbled upon it while stuck at home during covid and my oh my was I in for a ride. My Engineer was my first thai BL and honestly a turning point and a core experience in my life, a stepping stone for all the other tonnes of BLs I will start watching from then on, but GOD did RamKing have such a big hold on me. Till this day, many years and many BLs later, I will still say, RamKing is my best and most favorite couple! You and Talay played RamKing so well! And I love you guys so much :')

One nice touch was the thunderstorm in the middle of Episode 11, which reflected the inner turmoil of Ram and Boss, and led to breakthroughs in their relationships. Using nature to mirror the characters' feelings is very Shakespearean, as was the comic relief of the two drunks met by you and the dogs.
Not gonna lie, RamKing was the main cp for me during that time. I was so obsessed I cried when I realized we weren’t getting a S2. I literally held out hope for more than two years before I realized it wasn’t gonna happen.
I remember watching My Engineer during the pandemic and you are right! RamKing is defiantly one of the most underrated cp’s. I’ve watched over 400 bl’s and RanKing will always be one of my top cp’s.
My Engineer was the first ever BL i had ever watched and it's always gonna have a special place in my heart!! There are times i actually go back and re-watch the whole thing!! If there was ever going to be a s2 i would 1000% watch it

If you like him I recommend you to watch KinnPorch ! He is so sexy and charismatic in his role... even if he does not have a ship in it, it worths it ! Better character, better direction and so the acting is better too ! (BUT if you're not 18 yet for this one take your time (seriously) do'nt go watch it yet. You have the time to be at age for it ! 😉)

Since I watched the show as a fairly critical adult, I can say that your nervousness didn't show at all. Or rather, it worked perfectly for your character, so any nervous signs I saw were read as social anxiety on the part of Ram. I was definitely in a period of watching just about any BL I could get my fingers on and My Engineer was one that I enjoyed more than most. It definitely made the beginning of quarantine a bit brighter for me and I love hearing behind-the-scenes stuff, so thank you!
I gotta tell you, RamKing got me absolutely obsessed when I first watched My Engineer AND when I rewatched it after a year. Not sure if it's underrated cause I haven't talked to that many people about it but your chemistry with Talay in that show was insane, so I understand why you'd say it's an underrated ship!

My story ideas for RamKing as an adult couple: they start a cat cafe business together. I know it sounds corny but i love it. Or maybe they write a book like a manga together or they do volunteer like peace core work together. The work is kinda tough but it makes them better people and strengthens their relationship

i joined the bl fandom last year so i've been trying to keep up with the classics and I watched my engineer like 3 months ago. it is so good, especially considering the context and all of the production problems. the quality is on point and it passes the test of time
