Ah yes, Larry. He's such a simple character and that's what makes him perfect.
If you're curious about what Fairy types are good against, Fairy types are good against Dragon, Fighting, and Dark, but Fairy types are also weak against poison and steel
However Tinkaton is Fairy and Steel.
Steel is immune to Poison and resists Steel as well as Fairy.
This means Tinkaton is weak to Fire and Ground but resistant to Dark, Normal, Fairy, Ice, Rock, Grass, Flying, Psychic, and 4X resistant to Bug. It’s also completely immune to Dragon and Poison.
This means Tinkaton only takes neutral damage from Steel, Fighting, Water, Electric, and Ghost. The only reason Tinkaton isn’t a god of competitive is that they made its stats lower than average, which is fine because it has a move that has 160 base power and no real drawback.
Klefki, aka probably My favorite Pokémon in the whole wide ever, is also Steel/fairy

24:28 Metronome is a status move that randomly picks (almost) any move in the entire game to use, and here it picked Judgement, the signature move of Arceus (basically pokemon god) that is normally only able to be learned by it. Things like this are why Metronome is funny because you could also get like Tackle or Self Destruct
A few things you seem to have missed:
- Choice items (choice band, scarf, specs) massively boost a single stat at the cost of being locked into one move. They are a top tier competitive item, which were previously locked to being bought from post-game special modes. The fact you can just buy them is a big change (and honestly a welcome one).
- Judgment is the signature move of Arceus, AKA PokeGod. Hence why getting it was such a big deal.

@@theduckgoesmoo To elaborate on the choice items. Choice Band gives a 50% boost to the attack stat. Choice Specs does the same for Special Attack. And finally Choice Scarf (The one mentioned in the video) boosts speed by 50%. Seeing a lot of use right now in the meta, especially on Annihilape.
so about Team Star, they're not actually a bunch of spoilt rich kids, the only one who's rich among them is the fairy kid, they're literally just a bunch of kids who were heavily bullied in school and decided to band together to fight their bullies... by building 5 giant cars to scare them and dress up to express themselves finally, it worked, team star never actually hurt anyone, the kids who bullied them got scared and dropped out of school, it became a scandal and the former deputy chairman tried erasing all evidence that the teachers never did anything about the huge bullying issue at their school, when the previous chairman found out about this him and literally the entire staff resigned in disgrace, that's why none of the current staff or chairman who were brought in only a year ago know what happened, Team Star is full of good people, you find out each of them is still doing good things to help people or pokemon they're just "eccentric" and refuse to go back to the academy until their friend who went missing the "big boss" comes back to them.
Also Larry is great, he's just a tired business man who just acts as a gym leader cause his boss the head of the pokemon league ordered him to do so, he's got another job as well... but you'll find out about that later

Tinkaton Fun Fact
In the Scarlet entry it mentions how Tinkaton tries to shoot down Corviknight via knocking boulders into the sky. Corviknight is a seven foot tall raven covered in metal armour. Tinkaton then strips them and any other Steel Pokémon of their metal to further upgrade the big mallet.
24:30 Metronome can turn into any move at random when used, including Judgement. The signature move of Arceus. Tinkaton just called upon the hand of GOD to smite that bird.
Another fact: it kills Pawniard, Bisharp, and Presumably Kingambit to add to the fudging hammer
As a bonus, despite this detail, Tinkaton sucks against Corviknight in battle. It's purely an ambush predator.

Here's how Fairy Type works:
Offensive:
-Beats Dragon, Fighting and Dark
-Weak against Fire, Poison and Steel
Defensive:
-Weak against Poison and Steel
-Resists Bug, Dark and Fighting
-Immune to Dragon
Fairy is an obscenely good type. Not only did it make poison moves more viable, but it makes the dragon type nerfed down a bit by being totally immune to dragon moves.
I guess it makes dragons less cool and people don’t like that
@@theduckgoesmoo Actually, dragon pokemon are super powerful AND versatile. Dragon moves kinda suck anyways, as they are only super effective against other dragon types, and are merely more powerful versions of other moves most of the time that have the dragon typing. But in all seriousness, you can teach many dragon Pokemon poison and steel moves for coverage. The only dragons that REALLY suffer are the dragons with dual typing that make them 4x weak to fairy moves, such as Hydreigon, which became forgotten and much less used in X and Y, and Kommo-o.

Hilariously enough, one of the first Fairy-types introduced was a living keyring. Jingle, jangle, motherf***er, I kill dragons
Flower Trick is an absurdly good move for a fast physical attacker like "Balan" AKA it's official name, Meowscarada. It has a base power of 80, it will not miss unless the opponent uses something like Protect to block it or Fly to dodge it for one turn, and It's a guaranteed critical hit. So it's basically an attack that will hit regardless of accuracy and will ignore your opponents physical defense increases because that's a secondary effect that critical hits have. The one drawback to it is that Critical Hits were nerfed with this game so they only have a 50% damage increase instead of 100% like they used to.
Larry is widely everyone's favorite Gym Leader in this generation. If you could read all the text that AlphaRad skipped, you'll find it either extremely relatable or at the very least feel consistently bad for him.
So Farigiraf is Girafarig's new evolution introduced in this game. What i notice about it is that the second head at the tail end has moved up front and encompassed the first head and it's name reflects this by moving the latter half of it "Farig" to the front.
Metronome causes your pokemon to use a random move, even if that pokemon can't usually use it. In this case, Tinkaton used Judgement, which is normally Arceus' signature attack
You may enjoy either Form Fight or Metromania from Ace Trainer Liam if you want to see it in action
9:08 Choice Scarf gives the holder x1.5 Speed but they have to use the same move they used last turn. switching out removes this. there are choice items for both Attack Stats too
- Mum professor > Dad Professor
- Fairies are strong against Dragons (straight up immune to them), Fighting and Dark. Their existence was pretty much to nerf dragon types while buffing up old Pokemon giving them the typing and giving more use for Poison and Steel types as they are the Fairy types weakness
21:18 The cutscene right here explicitly explains that it is FORBIDDEN for any Team Star member to use their parents' money at all, so it annoys me that AlphaRad calls them "just a group full of rich kids" and makes that comment about their silver spoons when these kids literally threw away all their wealth and status for the sake of what they believe in. People not paying attention to a story then making fun of the story that they know nothing about is just a pet peeve of mine.

but Tinkaton has a below average Attack stat {75} for reference 80 is ok, 100 is good, 130 is amazing. this is a rating given to it's base Growth

Fairy types were introduced in Gen 6 and they mostly exist to nerf Dragon types
They also work to make Dark types a little easier to work on, but at the risk of taking a Fairy-type against something which is stronger against them. (Dark/Poison feels more common than you'd tihnk.)
Fun fact about Tinkaton: it chucks rocks to even boulders at birds (especially Corvikight) just for sport some times

23:03 - Leisure Suit Larry is the point and click adventure game from 1987, that is targeted for adults. Game is about middle age guy who wants to get laid. That's literally game's main goal, established from very beginning.
The reason why the pokeball was there in the cave is that they were used as item placeholders by the developers and since this game was rushed, they forgot to get rid of them in the final game.
Correction: They did get rid of them, a glitch just caused some to randomly reappear.

PETA made their own fangame called Pokemon "Black and Blue" where Pokemon are apparently being abused and all the trainers take drugs or something I forgot. It's got a ton of blood and violence in it for some reason, which is an odd take considering you're making a fangame of a kids game with the concept of "don't be mean to animals."

Since you have only seen the Violet PokéDex entry for Tinkaton, I guess I should point out that the Scarlet entry says it likes to knock Corviknight from the sky, which explains why Corviknight sky taxis aren’t a thing in Paldea, but Squawkabilly taxis are! Besides the basic predator and prey dynamic they don’t elaborate what they do with the Corviknight, which arguably sounds a bit more disturbing than when Sun and Moon would outright tell you stuff like... this Pokémon hunts this or this boost of power causes incredible pain. There’s so many possibilities. Is it food? Material for their hammers? We don’t know.
I think it's mentioned somewhere that sometimes Corviknights will pick on Tinkaton's pre-evolution's, so Tinkaton takes revenge.

They have sky taxis, just not flown by Corviknight. The Squawkabilly help carry it instead.

Iono and Larry are the absolute best. Peak characters. And personally, the final evo of the grass cat starter is my favorite pokemon in this generation. (:

Iron treads is a paradox pokemon of Danphan, and Danphan is the only one (or of two) to have two paradox forms.

Tinkaton only has a base attack stat of 75 which is pretty meh in attack power game play wise. It’s noth the best but not the worst. So it having gigaton hammer with a whopping 160 power is ment to… balance it out guess
Here's the thing about Atk stats in Pokemon, the formula for it is ((Base*2 + EV + IV/4)*Lvl/100+5)*Nature. With Tinkaton's 75 Atk and at lvl 50 that means it will have 80 Atk, however, EVs, IVs, and Natures skew this massively, with 31 EVs and 252 IVs (the max for a stat) and a plus Atk Nature that 75 Atk becomes 139. Now that's still not impressive but when you pair that with Gigaton hammer it becomes insane. Steel types don't normally have high BP moves and the ones that generally have that much BP a huge downside (Doom Desire is Future Sight so you have to wait a few turns for the move to come out, Steel Roller needs terrain on the field, Steel Beam deals half of your max HP as damage, the only exception to this is Make it Rain which only lowers your Sp Def by 1 stage). In comparison the highest Steel Type move with no Downside is Behemoth Blade/Bash and Sun Steel Strike which is a 100 BP Move on a legendary. If you account for the 1.6x dmg boost you would need a Pokemon with a Base Atk of 151 to barely surpass Tinkaton's damage. (Might I add that technically Zacian now has worse Potential damage than Tinkaton with this move because they nerfed Zacian's Base Atk plus they nerfed her ability.) Also to further compare it to Hyper Beam, not only does that attack have a recharge but it also has 90% accuracy and 10 less BP though it is a steel-type move so it has 4 types that resist it but even still it's amazing.
Judgement is Arceus's signature move. (THE POKEMON GOD OF SINNOH BY THE WAY!)
