Scizor in this video had crabhammer with the ability Drizzle. Drizzle is an ability that makes it rain which boosts water type moves. Scizor had Crabhammer, a very good water type move. Scizor also is a steel type, so since it’s raining Scizor takes less damage from fire types. It was a very good moon and really carried Jacob’s early game.
Rain halves fire damage, changing Scizor's only weakness from 4x super effective to 2x. It also doubles the damage of water type moves, boosting crabhammer's 100 base damage to 200.
- Guilatine is a move that always one shots just like Horn Drill and Fissue. They have a base accuracy of 30% (increases the higher level you are) but the ability No Guard always makes moves hit - That was a Mega Gyarados. X and Y were the ones to introduce Mega Evolution (That was then dropped 2 Gens later). So yea Pokemon suddenly ripping off Digimon - Prankster makes it so the users status moves always go first
18:44 wonderguard means it can only be hit by a super effective move. It’s an electric type so the only move super effective to it is ground. Air balloon is a held item saying you can’t be hit by ground moves. So basically it’s a Pokémon that can’t get hit.
If you ever want another Alpharad series, I think a good one would be the lightlocke series, where he did the smash ultimate world of light as a nuzlocke. It’s a fun time and really showcases his Icarus complex
@@theduckgoesmoo that’s probably the super cut you’re thinking of, it has all of the videos in one. But he did make separate videos that can be reacted to
So the ability Parental Bond is the ability of Mega kengaskahn, the little pouch baby helps the mom by doing a 50% damage version of whatever move used. this also gives any stat increases of said move.
So to answer your question about Gyrados, that would be the Mega Evolution for Gyrados. Mega Evolution is the X/Y special mechanic and was my first Pokemon game!
The reason Gyrados looked like that was due to Mega Evolution. A gimmick in Gen 6(and the best gimmick Pokémon ever had) certain Pokémon could essentially go Super Saiyan, gaining an extra 100 stat points, new abilities, and sometimes new typings. Gamefreak got rid of it because they hate fun designs.
Draco meteor was very good in this scenario because it had contrary which reverses the stat change, so normally Draco meteor would lower special attack
4:48 Nice 13:03 Guillotine is a 1 hit K-O but only has a 30% chance to hit. No Guard makes it so any attack it uses always hits. What pokemon would you have sent him?
42:16 prankster gives priority to status moves. I can teach you a strategy with that ability that can guarantee you a nuzlocke victory, but you’ll need to catch a Wailmer or Seel, and a hidden grotto Liepard. And you’d have to trust me, which you probably wouldn’t if I told you what you have to do with your party
The reason surskit didn't die to the moon blast was because it was holding a focus sash, which is a held item that works the same as sturdy, but is permanently consumed after use.
Oblivion Wing does 80 points of special damage, heals your Pokemon by seventy five percent of the damage it does, and is the signature move of Yveltal, the box art legendary of Pokémon Y. Yveltal basically is a Pokémon that can drain the raw life force of living creatures en masse. I don't want to say any more than that because spoilers, but it's one of the best box art legendaries we've ever gotten IMO, and it's abilities and appearance prompted me to name the first one * ever caught "Deathwing".
ScottTheWoz does not play very many RPGs, and he has basically no experience in Pokemon, which is an ongoing thing in his videos. People have asked him to play pokemon, and he deliberately avoids it, even in videos where it would be relevant, like when he talked about the GameBoy. In "Borderline Forever," which is a video that's basically the culmination of every major recurring joke and running gag on his channel, he actually has a bit where he plugs one of the GB pokemons in, presses start, and says "There. I played pokemon. Happy?"
Explanation for the Elecktross at 18:27 Elecktross is a electric type only 'Mon, meaning ground is the only effective type. There's an item which creates the effect of making a Pokemon immune to ground. Shedinja's ability, Wonder Guard, makes it so a Pokemon can only be damaged by supereffective moves (the tradeoff being that Shedinja has only 1 HP). So giving that ability and that item to Elecktross means it can't be hit by any damaging move. At all.
Probably not a good idea to watch it yet, since you're nuzlocking the same game, but I'd recommend reacting to Shenpai's "My First Ever Pokemon Nuzlocke Blind". She's really funny and a great animator 😊
Scottfalco is an animator who's known for his "____ with a side of salt" series, which are animated opinion/review videos, and he covers a lot of nintendo stuff.
19:54 egglocks were done a lot, if you are interested in learning more about nuzlockes I would recommend the video "The History of Nuzleckes" - By WolfyeVGC (AKA the world Champion)
Fun fact: oblivion wing is the signature move of one of the legendary's of gen 6 another fun fact: parental bond is the ability of mega khangaskan and it's the singular most broken ability in the game, some people say it's the reason why mega evolution only lasted 2 generations
I guarantee you that Kangaskhan had nothing to do with the dropping of mega evolution. I have no idea where you'd even get such a ridiculous notion. They got rid of it to draw attention to the new generational battle gimmick. That's why all of them get cycled out.
No guard guarantees all moves hit regardless of types, abilities or accuracy guillotine is a low accuracy normal type move that ohko's , normal type moves don't affect ghosts....usually unless no guard
If you had multiple versions of Protect could it work? Protect, Detect, King Shield, Spiky Shield, Baneful Bunker, Obstruct, Shell Trap and what ever other protection moves
I’m actually recommend watching some videos by individuals, TCNick3, Sofist, vernious, and king of skill. They collaborative Mario party videos, and their really funny.
This is Pokemon X, one of my personal favorites... That I don't have, Because I have Pokemon Y since I lost my copy of X. Pokemon X was my first ever Pokemon game, and for a while my opinion on it fluctuated, but TL;DR, I'm rather fond of it despite it being a more simple entry. I'll watch your Nuzlocke on it, on ONE CONDITION... You have the music on it for the first stream atleast. Trust me the 3ds' fully uncompressed sound makes it Candy (or whatever your favorite food is) for the ears.
