Hi, ive just come across your series on thr french hood. I just wondered if you had any images of your bonnet/coif prototype without the seam at the top? Also whether you'd be willing to share your patterns? I know theyre in this video but itd be hseful to have an image of it on the grid to draft from. I'm hoping to experiment with late elizabethan hoods so trying to look at as much as possible!

The hood pattern video is at: th-cam.com/video/iWRRMUsXI6s/w-d-xo.html
The basis for my coif prototype with pictures can be found at: www.marquisofwinchesters.co.uk/living-history-guide-coifs-and-hair/
Irina Lubomirska has a great paper online with hood patterns at: frenchrenaissancecostume.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/The-French-Hood-14-Jan-2017.pdf
Hope all goes well with your 16th century hood experimentations!

Why can not Holyweird manage the correct hood construction? They are very well paid!

I agree. Some movies and documentaries are better at historical accuracy than others.
