    Much appreciated.
    I'm making a hood for a cape (I guess it would be a cloak with the hood) and I was very tempted to go buy a hoodie from an op-shop (thrift store) and dismantle it for parts.
    Now I'm confident I can make one from scratch.

    I'm a beginner trying to teach myself to sew, so many tutorials still confuse me a lot and I would never be able to recreate them (for now). However, this was easy to follow and understand, even for me. :D I'll give it a try one day and definitely check out your other videos as well. Needless to say you have a new subsriber :)

    Im trying to make a shawl collar coat with an oversized hood. Do I draft the collar and hood together? Think Cruella d'vile from 101dalmations the cartoon movie. I'm having a hard time trying to figure it out 😭

    • @KimDave
      @KimDave  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can draft the collar and hood pieces separately, then join them along the neckline of the coat. Adding a facing/lining panels inside will help to finish the inside nicely

    Just a question, i want to make my hood have that running through an enchanted forest feel to it, which means its really wide and usually the neckline is more open and not very stiff. How would I adjust the pattern?

    • @KimDave
      @KimDave  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      the hood will have to be a lot bigger like you said. You can make the neckline slightly wider and increase the hood width & height too.

    I really love your pattern tutorials. I have a question, not relevant to this tutorial though. I'm making the pattern for the front twist dress, I have 3 yards of thick stretchy fabric, I want to make my dress longer than yours, if I can, do I just increase the dress length and everything will work out? And when extending the CF of the pattern, instead of 7cm, can I make mine a lil more, so it covers better in front? I'm kinda full around my butt.lol. pls reply me. I've already started to make the pattern. Thanks Kim.
