Well worth the money in my opinion.
Thanks, I thought so too 😊 All the items seem to be in very good condition 😃 Thanks for watching 👍🏻
nice buys buddy
Cheers, I really like them 😊 Think I was quite lucky to get these for the money paid 😁 They are all in very good condition and I particularly like the vent vans 😃 Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Done well very nice items, I got lucky a couple of weeks ago at my local charity shop picked up a brand new never left the box hornby crane set with brake van and open wagon for 10 euros which is around 8 pounds 😀
Nice one, that sounds like a great buy 😃 Places like these are worth a look sometimes 😊 Thanks for watching the video 👍🏻
Car Boot Sales are great if you're hunting for a bargain. I remember visiting the car boot sale in Chirk a long time ago. Beside one of the tables, I noticed a large framed print of my beloved Foxcote Manor. I stood there for some minutes, wondering whether I ought to buy the item for £5. The gentleman said,
"£4 and you can think about it." My heart was saying, "Go on, you know you want it." At last, I gave in and bought the framed print of Foxcote Manor for £4. Unfortunately, I don't have the print with me now. Either my Mum is keeping it safe, or it was lost when she moved home. You've brought home a good bargain.
Sounds like a great buy Kelly 😊 I hope you manage to find it 🤞🏻 Yeah boot sales can be good for a bargain 😁 I was lucky to get this nice little haul 😃 Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Ooo foxcote Manor, she's a common sight for me as I live right next to the West Somerset railway where she is based although sadly she's having repairs at the moment, but yes foxcote is a beautiful loco and I have even been on her foot plate
Tenner for a used in the box coach is decent. You should visit Rails Of Sheffield though. 2 used coaches for £15
Thanks, I will take a look 😃 Bought some used US HO locos from there before which have been good prices 😊 Thanks for watching 👍🏻
I think the prices you paid are fair. Many used items on ebay and from the specialist retailers are overpriced now. Used is used and should not be 2/3 of the price of new unless the item is genuinely rare, very old or particularly sought-after. For a few pounds more you are better off with brand new. I've never been to a car boot sale but it could be that these, charity shops and non-specialist 2nd hand/antique shops are the best places to find used bread-and-butter items at realistic prices.
Hello Paul 👋🏻 Yeah I find that model fairs, car boots and antique shops much better value for buying used than eBay. Like you say, paying 2/3 price of new for used is way over priced in most cases 🤔. Thanks for watching the video 👍🏻
