    Made a ski buddy friend, in Switzerland, who was one of the world's top nuclear physicists; we just skied together, while he worked at CERN, Brookhaven and(!) the Max Planck Institute in Germany.
    He was a fun friend, and good intermediate skier.

    This movie is really cool, if for no other reason then identifying all the different airplanes that appear in it. So many, it was hard to keep up. Good to see F-86's Sabre Jets, B-36 and B-52 Bombers and a myriad of much more! Gotta love it!!!🙂🙃😊😇👌👍

    This flick was cool! Lots of awesome actual footage of jets and rockets and nukes and whatnot. Storytelling was brisk, cars were cool, chicks were cute- Good Movie!

    This missile reminds me of Project Pluto. A nuclear powered cruise missile, flying around at low altitude.

      @mikethered12 such a large missile would leave a contrail from hell with that engine. The ending with plutonium in a cylinder being installed on the gantry was so completely ludicrous I had to give it to the director.

      @misterlyle. watched a copy of the new DUNE PT 2. ASIDE from ludicrous government officials and tribal leaders and worms the size of BROOKLYN the use of kitchen knifes as a Frontline combat weapon seemed over the line.

    48:46 - There was a NIKE site in the San Fernando Valley at Victory Blvd. and Woodman.
    Every now and again they'd drill and the missiles deployed as shown here.
    Jeeps in next scene are M38 (Willys MC) and M38A1 (Willys MD).

    1:04:04 😮 there's a sequence of shots now: alternating "explosion" with "victims" ~ that makes me wonder if the scriptwriter(s) for "Fail-Safe" saw this montage of shots. Fail-Safe certainly looked more advanced in its editing.

      The first time I saw “Dr. Strangelove” I didn’t notice the late great James Earl Jones, but he was there in the rogue B-52. He only had a couple of lines so his deep velvety voice couldn’t be appreciated.

    This was the very year NORAD was agreed to. Odd they would consider Britain launching missile over its own brother Canada at USA?
    Peiping hostile but no tech yet.
    But Japan, was still occupied by GHQ till 1958.
    Strange research for storyline.
