  • Here's a quick look at how I list large amounts of cards fairly quickly using a duplex scanner and software called Kronocard. If you're serious about listing a large amount of cards, give the video a watch and take a look at this software.

      Hey brother thanks for the comment. A lot of folks, including myself, think exactly like you do and have the same issues. Prizm or Chrome stock cards are very tough to scan, it just is what it is - oftentimes I'll photograph those instead of using the scanner. The same thing can be done with you high dollar hits from breaks, definitely photograph any cards over let's say $40 in value if you have any issues with scanning them. There is one other solution - Kronocard claims that certain Fujitsu scanners (very expensive) will scan top loaded and even penny sleeved cards at scale, but I don't have one of those scanners.

    I understand these cards are not valuable but every card is at risk of damage in that scanner. Personally I want to send buyers the best possible condition cards. I understand that some or even many may not get damaged. It's just so easy to ding corners and the dropping out of the scanner makes me cringe even on low value cards. Would it change the effectiveness if every card were in a penny sleeve? Maybe do a part 2 to show how the scans came back and steps to convert to listings?

      With this specific scanner, you basically can't put them all in the feeder at once. It ends up sucking in 2 cards at once or jamming and then you've got a problem you have to deal with. However, there are definitely some higher end scanner which can accept a big stack of cards and never jam - the high end ($600-$800) fujitsu scanners are capable of this but I didn't feel the need to splurge on one when I'm only listing ~30-60 single cards a day on average.

    • @ApexCardsLLC
      @ApexCardsLLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's a portion of the scanner that releases and pops open. If a card were to get jammed, you would open up this area to remove it. When you open this hatch, look up under it in the center, there will be a metal piece that clearly must touch whatever is scanned. It's not secured by any screws, simply "stuck" on there - grab something like a flat head screw driver a pry that sucker off, it will not affect the scanners ability to scan and once removed will not scratch thicker cards. Reply back to this comment if my instructions are not clear.

      to answer more specifically since ive been on there for about 1.5 years now, as a "small dog" you will have to stick out to customers in one way or another, either going lower than the majority of sellers on specific cards, or create value with lots of either players/teams and then and i stress this make accurate listings and give great customer service, and lastly presentation is huge you could have a Gem 10 but if the photo is of it in a scratched up top load with no sleeve its not very esthetically pleasing i used to take sub par photos and copy everyone elses listings like most do on there but now i make original listings or at least a modified variation of everyone elses, and you dont have to worry about negative feedback if youre not advertising "NM" on every card and they are VG-EX at best..haha hope that helps a little

      this is mainly catered to lower end cards, typically under $10 as you are bulk listing them. I would take more care when listing cards that are above that mark

      I'm uploading a video right now that answers this question. It should be live in 30 min. It also give you an overview of the Kronocard UI and a look at how the AI works.

      In the case of commons it works, just verrrrryyyyy slowly. Commons just don't sell well

    Thank you for this video! Will this scanner process cards in a standard toploader?

    • @ApexCardsLLC
      @ApexCardsLLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't believe it will. It has a hard time with thick cards sometimes and a toploader would likely be too thick. There are however many scanners that can easily handle toploaders, look at some of the Fujitsu scanners.

      It is not, but I bought a cheap windows pc for this exact purpose. I remote desktop to the windows machine from my mac

    Not true about many cards going in feeder. Fujitsu can!!
    And thats why Epson isnt a good scanner.

    • @ApexCardsLLC
      @ApexCardsLLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the fujitsu I have feeds them fast but it doesn't produce the margins on the scans showing the edges and corners of the cards. I think newer models of Fujitsu scanners solve this problem.

    No mention of pricing cards using comps on eBay before you list. What good is pushing cards to eBay if prices aren't accurate? A 2nd video on the rest of the process should be made.

    • @ApexCardsLLC
      @ApexCardsLLC  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I mainly use COMC (who is also listing the cards on eBay) to get an idea of the prices of these types of cards. Comps are always used for pricing

    So you scan each card , then look up their real prices to double check each one that makes no sense why not just not look up the prices in the first check since u double check anyways

    Premium BB cards that you didn't bother to put in penny sleeves to protect them. Not a good way to show people how to sell cards.
