It's not a joke. It's England
That’s a long time for running away from a guy with clown lights on a car. You actually just worship authority figures that were ordained by who?
Heck, in the US charges might even get dropped due to making the suspect feel bad about his driving.

Imagine not being able to outrun a 330D in a 500+HP bently
But on the bright side: There's kudos in being caught in a Bentley.
If this chase involved a Dacia or a Hyundai, I wouldn't have bothered watching.
Mate, the 330D is no slouch to begin with, it has bags of torque and I think the 335D has twin turbos. I believe the UK pursuit cars get remapped for more power too as I saw it explained on a tv documentary a few years ago when they were showing off a new unmarked tuned up Subaru pursuit car being used around the London area
The Bentley is seemingly too heavy to be good in a pursuit as it seems to corner slow and lose any advantage it can gain on the straights. An M5 or a RS6 would have been a better suit for a get away car.
@@E6MND still not that much faster than what the police have though, marginal increase in acceleration. The police 3 litre diesels are under 5 seconds standard pretty much near enough so with some modifications which officers never admit to (suggesting they are tuned to some extent) it is probably going to be a very fast vehicle
@@Horizon301. they’re a lot faster. I doubt the police 330D’s with two people, and all of their kit will be under a 5 Seconds. When my empty, remapped 535d will do it in about 5.5 seconds. It’s just, they can’t use that power, in the location of this pursuit. The Bentley was going too fast to avoid the patrol car coming out. And it lost so much ground to the pursuing BMW in the corners.
18 months in prison for holding drugs and driving 4 times the speed limit and crashing into a police car?!?!? That’s disgusting
I agree 👍
I like it how the officer updates dispatch in a tone as if everyone is having afternoon Tea.
"Low risk ... adding sugar ... stirring clockwise ..."
I like hearing this officer saying how much risk there is as they're chasing this dummy. Drivers like this one pose a risk everywhere. Glad he was caught without any injury to the public
Calling out risk levels sounds like some busy body committee types writing procedures.
@@BlackPhillip666 No it's important as if it becomes too high risk of killing bystanders it makes sense to stop the pursuit, that's why he's always monitoring it. As it's better he gets away and maybe caught later then someone loses a family member
@@davidpacker7602 That's not why they do it. They have to record real time evidence that shows decision making in the initial stages of a pursuit, together with further decisions that allows them to continue. Part of that is the monitoring and recording of any criminal activity that occurs during the pursuit. So by calling out the offenders speeding in a restricted area, or putting pedestrians at grave risk of death (for example) they are not only building a case for a catalogue of crimes, they are also providing real time evidence that justifies a potential escalation of pressure on the offending vehicle.
Absolute bollocks the whole spill
The officer doesn't mention how much risk he is putting on the public by taking blind corners though does he? And your all hailing him as a hero. What if you were diving towards him on that corner? 2 and a half ton police car right in your face! Guess what, be YOUR fault too for not hearing the sirens!

Being from america i have to say, english cops are tough as hell considering these men chase down whatever type of suspect with only a taser in hand. These guys can be armed with knives, machetes, rifles etc.
Maybe UK cops could organize some "How not to be a pussy 101" seminar for the US cops. I used to work as an EMT. Even on emergency calls I obviously have to ride very careful as the car itself is heavy and not made for fast driving and because I may have a patient in the back. These high speed pursuits always fascinated me. Blasting through cities with a proper car like theres no tomorrow. I know its not the right intention to join the police but still Id love to do that.
being an EMT as well there's quite a difference between the driving style while heading to the scene vs. transporting a patient. Our smaller car-based unit tops out at 220 kph or 137 mph / might hit 240 kph or 150 mph in sports mode. Our larger ALS Emergency Ambulances were able to hit 160 kph or 100 mph, but our newer ones are limited to only 140 kph / 87 mph. That being said, we won't fly across city streets at those speeds, but it might indeed happen that we go at twice the posted limit.
