Thanks for the fun Higurashi readalong today, always love dark storytime with you! It's just part of that gap moe that makes you my oshi - you're a cute lil chump that loves cute things, but then half the time you got us diving into something full of dark psychological horror with you. And yes, I do love (fictional) crazy women! They're really entertaining, especially when you the one voicing them! Those VA skills were on point today! Shion continues to descend into further madness, and you totally managed to do her character arc justice! This arc is so good too - might just be me, but getting to see things from her perspective is so fulfilling after the earlier arc from Keiichi's perspective. It also explains why she snapped so hard too... she's been dealing with trauma at the hands of her grandma and her family since day one, and after a while anyone is gonna snap. Sadly, it really does seem like out of the two sisters, she's truly the one that has the demon in her.👹 But I'd argue her fam has been poking that demon since she was a lil girl.
Had a great time today, so beeg thanks! And you know I'm already hyped for tomorrow - Dragon Age AND Balding? Oh baby, baby! Til then, wishing you and the cattos an amazing rest of the day! What a crazy episode. There's no coming back for Shion after this, she has completely lost it. An interesting thing though is how when it was Keiichi going crazy he started with the same feeling of paranoia that Shion got here, although the descent was much for slower for him. The curse is happening the same way for everyone before they die it seems.

Wow, things escalated so fast. I'm honestly kind of shocked that Shion would even go to a party at the main house but she did and she drank her fair share. Even so, it doesn't feel like her actions were caused from being in a drunken stupor. She definitely has presence of mind, although maybe there's another presence in her mind too! Maybe Satoshi or Oyashiro?
A few interesting notes, we hear mention of person X again. This theoretical person that could be working behind the scenes and causing the curse on behalf of Oryou/the Sonozaki family. Shion goes through a lot trying to think about who it could be taking into consideration it isn't Mion but of course nothing concrete and she isn't exactly in a good mental state for these kind of deductions anyways.
Speaking of Mion, oof, poor girl. She runs into Shion in the hall and is understandably upset to find she was eavesdropping on a relatively private conversation. Next thing she knows, she is in this prison finding out about Shion and her grandmother. We've gone so far past the threshold of crazy at this point. Like imagine finding out your twin sister is a murderer and her victim was grandma AND then consider that you are at her mercy in a prison cell.
Assuming Mion is telling the truth and doesn't know anything about the curse, then all that leaves us with is Shion's mad ramblings. Shion herself can't decide between whether or not the curse is human or if it is magical. Always with the contradictions. One thing is for sure though, she's stone cold and done lost her mind. Things are only going to get further out of control and I can't wait to see it! Thanks for reading Nene!

This story is going so crazy i knew shion was crazy but not this crazy it is sad that the anime didn't do it justice because the story is sooo good but i'm still looking forward to watch it once we are done.
