One of the major signs of a bubble is that people stop talking about the actual product and only talk about the value of the product. You aren't hearing about the playability of the cards or the cool art of the cards, you are only hearing about the price of the cards. Just the simple fact we are talking about "Investors" at all is a red flag that we are in a bubble. Investors can win and investors can lose, but collectors always win if they are collecting what they love, because the cards are more than just dollar signs to them.

These are the comments that are so obvious and feel like common sense but just aren't in this community. Hopefully S&V keeps driving the non-collectors packin their bags 😊

In all of my years of collecting pokemon cards I never saw booster boxes and single card prices increase in price so soon after an era ended like sword and shield is currently doing. Do you remember at the start of the sword and shield era when several xy booster boxes were still readily available at below retail price?
YUP! I’m making a video of why that is ( or what I believe) it is. So many contributing factors. I just need to gather a little more research
Evolving skies was like $400 for months last year and it's been stuck around $650 for months this year. Why do people read so much into a few days or weeks in to LITERALLY nothing?
I agree! I had so many times to buy , but I simply didn’t have the funds. I always tell people to never fomo especially on modern.
