Fun fact: Godzilla was actually heavily exhausted from fighting kong and drilling into hollow earth, so if he had went against Mechagodzilla not being exhausted he would have won pretty easily
not true, Mechagodzilla was more powerful even is we go based off simply corporeal build. The director has stated he wouldnt have lost the beam clash so easily had Godzilla had not used up so much radiation previously 😉. Anyways no there was no situation in which Godzilla won that.. unless mothras involved, but she was in an egg at the time, the best thing he did in that fight was knock back MG at the very beginning considering MG is 600,00 tons while Goji is just under 100,00.

Yall gotta remember that in kong skull island Kong was just a teenager. In this movie he is SIGNIFICANTLY BIGGER. Skull island he’s 104 feet and in this movie Kong is 335 feet tall.

In G vs K he is literally big enough to step on and crush his younger self with one foot. That’s how much bigger he’s gotten. In GxK, the little monkey suko? Director said Godzilla was toying with kong until he hit Godzilla with the axe. You can kinda see it since he keeps trying to spam atomic breath on kong even when right next to him, kinda like when you try to spam you’re fav move in a game but keep missing so you just get fed up and annihilate the enemy.
Was also stated that if Godzilla didn’t spend so much energy fighting king and drilling into the hollow earth he would have probably beaten mechagodzilla.
Not to mention mechagodzillas cool lore, when they’re activating mechagodzilla up with he hollow earth power you can hear a mechanised King ghidorah roar, because the consciousness of that left head is taking over the body.

@@liquid1514 probably because he still wanted to have fun with it and wasn’t taking king seriously. You can see it in the fight. Godzilla fights very differently before and after he got bonked. Before he kinda just spamming the atomic breath trying to get him with that but after being bonked he got fed up and straight up mauled kong.

According to some other comments I've seen, apparently the blow Kong landed on Godzilla's face with the axe blinded him temporarily, leading to Godzilla tracking Kong through sound. Kong was able to figure this out and take advantage of it.

I'm a huge godzilla fan but I can't say he would've beat this version of mechagodzilla. Besides being exausted at that point mechagodzilla had unlimited power.
@@lycusx Yeah there's some Hollow Earth mystical stuff going on with that place's energy. I mean hell, it technically was what REVIVED an extremely dead Ghidorah (Kevin, at that) and that's what led to the "corruption" of MechaGodzilla.

I think the movie novel expands a little bit on why the girl and Kong left Skull Island. The monsoon that wiped out her tribe was a piece of Ghidora’s Storm from King of the Monsters

That ending scene was a mutual respect: Godzilla Rules the other Titans on the surface and Kong goes back to hollow earth in search of others of his kind.
It also seems like Godzilla was driven out of hollow earth by Kong's ancestors, which would explain why he's only been on the surface and never went back, and the places he takes a rest in are also pretty far from hollow earth, like basically still near the surface, just deep in the ocean.
That's probably how he ended up becoming the alpha on the surface.

And he only goes to Hollow Earth when absolutely necessary because the radiation and energy levels there corrupt his mind as proven by the ancient iwi scriptute that says " The godzilla that ate a star. i remember the beef between kong and godzilla fans before this movie came out, I also remember how many kong fans(who thought kong would win) were silenced lol. atleast they made the fight entertaining by giving godzilla stormtrooper aim and having them fight more than once, as well as giving kong "anti-godzilla weaponry" to make the fight fair

Other people have said it, but I really hope you react to Shin Godzilla and Godzilla Minus One (though the latter is very new so copyright may be a concern?). Godzilla Final Wars would also be a crazy ride, it's basically Godzilla if directed like an over the top action anime (but it is an actual live action movie with suits) or video game like Bayonetta, and throws like 20 different monsters at you.

I mean...when it came down to it, he beat Kong without any advantage that Kong himself didn't have. It wasn't the atomic breath. Or being in the water. It was one on one brute strength vs brute strength. No one can even claim cheating. And then Godzilla spared him. Because he can tell the difference between a good monster who is just being a pain in his ass and a monster who needs to just die, like Ghidora. Godzilla fan for life 🤘..outfought and outclassed Kong. And who knows how many more people would not have died if they'd just left Godzilla alone and let him destroy Mecha-Godzilla before it was even activated. I love King Kong but he was just making a mess of things..

Kong just took a bit too much for him to defeat so he too tired to fight the second threat. They are not human to just sit down and talk. You appear in his territory, you're the problem and have to ready for the smoke.

I love the nod to the 1962 Toho Studios movie King Kong VS Godzilla. When Kong shoves the handle of his axe into Godzilla's mouth, it parallels the '62 movie when Kong force fed Godzilla a tree.

New Empire really doesn't help this case either and it looks like we'll be getting this for the next 3 years as they'll most likely make ANOTHER Godzilla and Kong film. They really need to separate the two because both are awesome monsters but their strengths and weaknesses are always compared to each other.

MechaGodzilla is powerful for sure. But it also wasn't a fair showing against the real Godzilla. His fight with Kong lasted many hours and burrowing a hole to the hollow earth used a LOT of his power.
So by the time Mecha shows up, our Godzilla was honestly running on E. Or close to it.

Mechagodzilla is a classic Toho monsters and one of Godzilla's most recurring enemies. Like Godzilla there are different incarnations of Mechagodzilla.
Godzilla has always had trouble when dealing Mechagodzilla. He usely needed a power up oe help from a another monster. I'm glad they kept that character trait of Mechagodzilla.

Without human aid and a weapon…Kong stood no chance against Godzilla here lol 😂 Kong couldn’t have won any rounds without that axe (charged with Godzilla’s nuclear blast). Let alone against those warbats (in Hollow Earth)…had the people not shot at it while it was suffocating Kong, who knows how that would have turned out. And like others have said, Godzilla was a bit exhausted from blasting all the way to Hollow Earth and then fighting Kong right after. Was confirmed that at full power, Godzilla could have easily beaten Mechagodzilla on his own 😌

Kong would have lost against Godzilla if it wasn't for that axe because that axe has one of Godzilla's ancestors dorsal plates attached to it which allows it to absorb Godzilla's atomic breath because that's where Godzilla species channel their energy and Godzilla did spare him he could have easily killed him when he had him pin underneath his foot but he chose to let him live and against mechagodzilla both Kong and Godzilla needed help because neither one of them would have won on their own because both of them at that point was badly injured and tired
