The scene where Godzilla was sleeping in the colosseum was inspired by the producers cat and the reason why Godzilla likes the colosseum is because it reminds him of his old home, Atlantis from Godzilla king of the monsters.

He was in the last movie for a total of 2 seconds and the fandom fell so in love with him that companies even made toys of the boy. We begged for him to return in this next movie and Wingard delivered :D

At the end the ape wasn’t the one who was thrown in lava it was the one who dropped the rock and was being abused until Kong stepped in and knocked out the enforcer
The nerf to godzillas aim whenever he’s fighting an important ape like kong or scar king is funny. He can easily hit tiny targets like aircraft and and stuff like when he attacked Florida yet he’s got the slowest and or worst aim whenever he’s fighting kong and scar king
I can probably explain why his aim is nerf when fighting apes 1. They are agile 2. I would assume that the energy and blowback of his atomic breath make it harder to aim since it kinda looks like the breath somewhat curves a bit when he moves his head. I think the reason why its more noticeable is because when he used his breath on the MUTO and ghidorah he is close to them and they also aren't really agile so that makes it easier but for the planes and jets idk

It’s not that he’s nerfed it’s just that they aren’t dumb lol. They are smart enough and agile enough to dodge that we’ve seen it in GVK and now GXK. Hell we’ve ever seen Ghidorah doge it in KOTM so it’s not just them.
@@taigakagami8354 Godzilla shot at ghidorahs heads, which was never gonna hit. You can see in the scene where he attacks Florida he can easily hit small aircraft and move his beam quickly but when he’s fighting king and scar king his beam nicely relatively slowly (by slowly I mean the direction he aims in) I can understand them dodging more than other titans but Godzilla could definitely aim better than he does when he’s fighting them

I think the reason Godzilla had such an easy time navigating around the low/zero gravity was because it was essentially like swimming- just without the water.
In water, he is able to control his own direction and change his pace at will.

Some of the Great Apes have individual names: according to TV Tropes, according to the novel, the one with the blind right eye 👁 is fittingly called "One-Eye" and is apparently one of Skar King's children alongside Suko and other infants 🤔😓. The one that Kong tries to save from falling off the cliff but ends up having to kick him off the cliff for real in self-defense because he was a sorry little ingrate who still attempted to kill Kong after he had just saved his life 😠😡🙄😒🤨, his name was Stone Fist 👊 ✊️ 🤛 🤜. Another one of the initial attackers along with One-Eye and Stone Fist was called Catcher. Another one of Skar King's goons, the one crushed by Kong's giant swinging stone trap was apparently called Knob. The ape who was Suko's caretaker whom Skar King brutally murdered in front of Suko and Kong, his name was Gnarled Finger, and while "friend" might be going a bit far, the novelization reveals that, prior to meeting Kong, Gnarled Finger was the only Great Ape to treat Suko with any measure of kindness by letting him eat the scraps of his meals and shielding 🛡 him from being attacked by the other apes 🥺😣😔. And the Great Ape slave that Kong helps up and beats up the bully abusing him, while not named in the movie, was named "Boots" by the movie's vfx animators 🤔😉.

There's a lot of very subtle details in the movie which really prove Shimo is insanely strong even though she was trying to hold herself back. Such as how she could easily tank Godzilla's atomic blast without being hurt much or how she tossed Godzilla with one hand.

I love the natural progression of the bond between Kong and Suko. Even with that "I'll beat a motherfucker with another motherfucker" moment. And the fact that Jia was prophesized as a hero who can rouse Mothra from her slumber is amazing, same with her meeting other members of her tribe. Also, I not only love the "Aw, shut up" punch on the ape annoyingly running his mouth a few seconds before Kong met Skar King, but the part where Kong lobs a rock and creams the one ape in the head. 😆🤣

Actually the behind the scenes comfirms kong was holding back and he already got over his fight with godzilla after the Mechagodzilla fight. Godzilla wasn't holding back but kong was but still godzilla is stronger. In a fight there is 35% chance kong wins and 65% for godzilla winning

To be honest, 80% of japanese Godzilla movies had this tone. Most people have just sawn Minus One and Shin, so they think that Godzilla Japanese movies are all serious and emotional. But really, there are only ten serious Godzilla movies among more than 30 japanese chapters.
Yes this movie embody the fights in the old Japanese Godzilla
To explain the Mothra, Mothra lays an egg after awakening, and upon death transfers her memory to the egg, thus it's the same Mothra but different body and in away she is immortal.
So part of why Godzilla was powering up was because he knew he'd be fighting other titans before Scar King even. The novel talks about this in greater detail but Godzilla killing Scylla and Tiamat was not random or cruel. In the novel/comic previously, Scylla had been feeding on power plants in an effort to evolve enough to take the role of alpha. They fought then and Godzilla won and Scylla backed off and went into standby mode. But here in this movie, she's at it again. So by this point, Godzilla decides to just kill her for disobeying again.
Similar situation with Tiamat. The only difference this time is that Godzilla wasn't specifically trying to kill her. He wanted that lair and she happened to be there. And instead of respecting the Alpha, she thought she could kill him and chose to fight. Like Scylla, since the two of them had fought before, this time Godzilla was not going to let it slide.

And for Tiamat she's not a new Titan or anything, her name appeared very brevely in King of the monsters during the "17 titans" part where she was located in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
