I love stadiums with brick exteriors. Looking up at a massive brick facade from street level is simultaneously beautiful, powerful, and slightly intimidating, all good qualities in a sports venue.

Those aren’t grassy roofs in the Notre Dame Stadium rendering, those are green roofs built using trays of sedum and they DID get built. They are becoming somewhat common on flat roofs to help absorb heat and rain water.

Couple of things. First, it’s Indiana University - not the University of Indiana.
Second, you mentioned Indy Eleven or Eleven Park as an MLS stadium, which is perhaps the goal, but there is no MLS team in Indianapolis.
Third, you called the Pacers arena Bankers Life, showed it as Conseco, but it is Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
    Naming rights. Amiright?
I like the state-by-state videos. Nice job.

What about Hinkle fieldhouse? One of the best college basketball arenas.

I was about to mention Hinkle Fieldhouse. Also, other spots including Purcel Pavilion (aka the Joyce Athletic & Convocation Center) at Notre Dame and Worthen Arena at Ball State. Honorable mention: Hulman Center in Indiana State University.

As a Butler Grad a bit miffed. It is the inspiration for Pacers Fieldhouse. Assembly Hall is so blah. Overrated.

No Hinkle Fieldhouse, which is recently renovated and a cathedral of college basketball! Made so much of Notre Dame stadium being a cathedral like design, which is valid. Also, IU football’s end zones do have value. The north end zone is where their state of the art work out facility is. 🙄

@@kevinkelley1644 I mean, Hinkle, Worthen, Joyce, wherever Indiana State plays, UE’s arena… I could go on. At least mention them in passing. Sure I get not wanting to mention every D3 and NAIA school, but there’s way more than they talked about. Even just a passing mention would have been a good idea.

Actually Indy Eleven is a company, not sure if they’re going to name an expansion MLS team that. Looks like the new stadium is to be completed in August 2024. Also here in Indianapolis they’re planning on building a couple new skyscrapers downtown, bare minimum there’s at least one going to happen. There’s going to be a 42 story Hilton hotel that just broke ground this summer which actually was supposed to happen a few years back but it’s supposed to be completed by 2026 the latest or 2025 the earliest. There might be a couple towers that would be hotel, apartments, and retail space replacing a CSX railroad building that’s 100 years old so quite possibly the skyline here is about to change drastically in the next couple years.
