My daughters 08 fusion 2.3 had the down stream bad, saw a wire cut, so I tried that socket and eventually cut th wires and put a socket on and went to town. Back then lots of room. Thanks Arod
This is because a lot of dealerships hire technicians who are just starting out. Some are not even technicians but backyard parts changers.
I have always changed my oil on my vehicle's it's cheaper and I know it was done right.
I never seen any SHO models in a long time I wasn't aware they were even making them I have seen the Taurus police cars but never knew about new SHO
Great video ! Covered a lot of ground with lots of different vehicles. Preventive and regular maintenance keeps cars/trucks running much better for much longer. I had one of the first year Tarus cars; man, have they come a long way. Noticing a lot of mechanics using tools from Harbour Freight; don't you know it's killing the Snap-On/Matco boys, LOL! ICON has some good stuff. Stay Sharp, dude.
I wish they had done bank one and 2 numbering like aircraft engine numbering, it would be easier for us U.S. pilots,#1 engine is l/h side. I said U.S. as I am not sure if other countries use the same numbering system.

Just did the Flex and had to cut wires off and use a deep well socket to remove them.

I brought the wife's Bronco Sport into my local ford dealership for recall 22C22 parking lamp flicker. They performed the recall but now the headlights don't work. I guess some parts got fried according to the service manager. So now the dealership is waiting for parts to fix this new issue. I know stuff happens, but I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about the service dept. Oh how I wish there was an ARod in my area.

I hate when they program the idiot light and write on the sticker 3000 mi. My manual sez 7000 mi, but i usually go at 5000, just by watching the color of the oil. Shes an oldie (2009) so an early oil change is prob better.
I go to a really good independent shop, as Ford Dealers in MN sux. Don't ask...

Arod ... is it a bad thing to drive around for a few days or even put 1k miles on my truck to get back home if the Particulate Matter Sensor is either damaged or sensor protection tube ...check engine light came on I'm in Michigan working no Ford dealers around can get me in under 2 wks ..no diesel techs avail or jus backed up and I'm trying to get home and gave it fixed if it won't damage anything...1st time diesel owner don't wanna get stranded in middle of no where
App says the powertrain control system has detected damage or blockage to the Particulate Matter Sensor or the sensor protection tube

I had a 2013 maroon SHO..... Tell them to run away very quickly... I developed a grinding noise right rear at like 60k miles.... ended up being a mis-made axle tube??( don't quote me, it was a few years back and not a mechanic) Dealer got Ford involved when part needed was a NON-ORDERABLE part. they stuck me in a platinum F250 diesel for like 2 months while they had the manufactuer of part make me a new part. and repair was done at NO CHARGE... they were definitely hiding some liability from me. ( this is my local Dealer that NEVER wants to fix anything and you have to fight to prove to them whats wrong.) Ford wanted the old part for investigation... I Traded that sucker at another dealer and bought an F250.
How many time can you clean the engine with chems and water without having problems with electrical?

As long as you don't use high pressure hose water should not enter electrical or ground locations that may rust or cause electrical signal problems over time. I have not review any service manual so I dont know if any company recommend regular engine washes. Your video was great. Explain well. I watch Wednesday night also. alot of good tech talk. Thanks for your hard work
