With GTA 4, it was required to have a specific version of that game in order to install mods, do i need a specific version of gta 5 to install mods too? Or do i just download it from steam and continue from there?

Hey! I'm a new subscriber, your content is great. I reinstalled GTA earlier today and followed this video step by step. When I go to load up singleplayer, whilst on the loading screen it just now turns the game off and goes back onto steam rather than loading the game - any advice on how to identify which mod it must have been? Or just delete each of the installed mods one by one?
@@eastdownjay You have to backup your game install files, that way if something messes up you can just uninstall then delete the root folder then just move your save over then hit install. It will use the files you have and install without downloading it, I've broke the game hundreds of times at this point. GTAV moding is a labour of love, some mods break the game and it is a pain but the backup helps the pain of a broken install. Hope that helps.

Using windows 11, running it off steam opened game before attempting to mod ran fine. Followed step by step or so I think and was given a error message about not enough memory. Then added updated gameconfig game won't load past wanted star opening. Uninstalled game and all mods will attempt again in a few days when it downloads (currently in the middle east on deployment) Great video though 👍 hopefully works on the second attempt

Wish you would have explained what each program does (as far as the scripts go) and why we need them. What is ifruit? what is scripthook? What's lemonui? Why do we need these?
I’m pretty sure I did ? Like when you install LS Life you need nativeUI and iFruit - I also explained that a majority of the scripts these days use both of them - scripthookv is obviously what you need to even begin to mod V I figured that was a given but thank you for your feedback!

So, I followed your Tutorial step by step and it worked with no problems whatsoever. I gave myself some money and Weapons and played around with the menu for a bit. But after a while i noticed that, despite having millions of dollars, the game thought i had none. I also could'nt set the Money for any of the characters. Whenever I tried it would just not accept the change. Does anyone have a tip what i am doing wrong here? Thanks in advance!

i deleted everything and now my gta wont even load after doing this just goes back to steam

your scripthook might need updating.. whenever rockstar patches the game a new version of scripthook is required

every time i run openIV it says reinstalling would fix the problem but i’ve reinstalled 3 times already and still nothing works

In OpenIV, under 'update' I have update & update2 rpf files. I see you only had one. Should I leave update2.rpf alone? Or use it?
I looked it up and found it was best to just use the first update file.

look for steamapps folder on your drive
