    I keep looking at chicken pluckers thinking "washing machine"! When I get time one day, I'll give it a go. Cheers mate.

      im researching a build myself, ive got 50 birds coming up soon, and more after :/ I have two old washers sitting around, one even a large top load with no agitator! This is inspiring to see, THANKS!

    Great Thinking. Idea for you. drill and place a hose adapter with shut off valve at the outer white ring. then attach a 3/8 flair coupling and a flared copper pipe, crimp tip slightly for spray pattern or uncrimped.
    Your washer motor should have more than one hot wire. Low med high spin. or it originally had a digital voltage regulator. The drum is currently spinning at its lowest cycle.
    You could try a Light dimmer/ceiling fan switch as a make shift on/off/speed controller.
    Your project got me thinking of making one of these myself. Great job!

      A M I was thinking about that but I did not want to damage the bird
      But now you said it I could always go up one step I will look into it a dimmer is a great idea thanks mate

    Am looking at doing one myself but am not sure how to get around the electrical wirings and computer programming. How do you know which controls the spin cycle and whether water needs to be filled and then emptied for the spin cycle to run?

    • @OneMansWorld
      @OneMansWorld  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ashraf Sahul I direct wired the electricity to the motor and turn it on it constant power so spins when the plug is turned on

    How do you drain the water and feathers out

    • @OneMansWorld
      @OneMansWorld  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s an old washer so the water drains easy as down the bottom of the tub but I just pick the feathers out by hand

    Hey Bud great concept, I am doing the same DIY with a simpson WM, question, the drum is not spinning the centre of the machine or agitator is spinning - How did you get this happening ? Need same advise that you followed to achieve this marvel, cheers Glen

    • @OneMansWorld
      @OneMansWorld  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would need one that spins the drum mate

    • @OneMansWorld
      @OneMansWorld  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You may be able to screw the agitator to the drum if it is a free spin drum other then that mate I would have to see a pic

    Beautiful. I'm just half way . I put more puckers on the bottom and a few on top. Hope it works. Do you put the chicken in hot water before you put it in the plucker? So straight on to the plucker once you kill it.

    • @OneMansWorld
      @OneMansWorld  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yer I put it in hot water around 65 degrees c
      Then into cold water then into the plucker
