Except that by this point, the ship is so deteriorated that it could never BE raised, it’s been down there for so long that the second it hits the air, the whole thing would disintegrate, not to mention the problem of the ship being in two pieces and the stern being a mangled mess of metal, not to mention the ethical issue of raising a ship that’s an underwater graveyard to 1,518 people
Ebin Shumate not disagreeing, I’m just genuinely curious what the science is about why the ship can’t touch air anymore. Is it the corrosion of the seawater?
Yes, also the rust that has been eating away at the ship is actually caused by small organisms that are feeding on the wreckage, which has dramatically increased the speed of deterioration, for a good comparison to how much damage has been caused by that, is to look at the wreak of Titanic’s nearly identical sister ship, HMHS Britannic, Britannic has been at the bottom of the Aegean Sea for just about as long, she is almost completely intact and is in almost one piece other than the snapped front now deck that was caused by Britannic’s collision with the sea floor, this is the effect of the absence of the organisms eating away at Titanic

Usually when you do restorations like this, you put things in an ordered arrangement when it's disassembled to make it easier, and/or take pictures of the bits as you're taking it apart so you can go back to it later. Which isn't to say it's not impressive. Some of the things these restoration channels fix up would STILL be hard for me to put back together!
Oh yes! That reminds me to one of my favourite Peanuts stories where Charlie is asking how Schroeder can play so difficult songs even if his piano has no black keys and Schroeder's brilliant answer was "I practice a lot."

Такому гениальному, отличному мастеру не страшно доверить свою технику на ремонт. Мастер волшебник.👍👍👍🎹

Wow, it turned out much better than I thought possible - Great work! 👍👍👍
I like your name😂😂
i am a pianist and even though this is just a toy piano seeing you restore it with so much care made me really emotional. thank you for the quality content¡
This is something you'd find in an old 18th century home and summon a demonic entity by playing
Or the ghost of a really hot girl who needs help.
😂😂😂
true
Even more so in 19th Century Victorian houses
😂 I think you’ve been watching too much Supernatural.
Toy piano makers: *put xylophone inside*
Musicians: Am I a joke to you?
There isn’t exactly room for a real piano in there.
Technically it's a celeste, not a piano. The instrument does exist in full scale.
It would actually be considered a glockenspiel (bells) since its made out of metal. Xylophones are made out of wood.
Ikr I was like where are the accidentles
Yes
The gloss on that black paint as it appears is just wonderful.
Wow. So beautifully done. I love the mood of your video-the captions rather than voice, the sounds of the construction and the spraying of paint, the very high quality of the work. Thanks for this.
Started this video thinking "If he makes this thing look good I'll sub right now..."
I subbed.
Ok
My mom said if i get good grades she will buy me a toy
I got good grades
She forgot to buy me a toy
For me it was already looking good

My dad does sand blasting for car restoration for a living, I had no idea how satisfying his job was .
You should tell him to make a youtube channel for himself.
I work on cars as well, sandblasting car parts is satisfying at first but it gets old after a while, and often times with the sandblasters we use we have to put on suits to protect our skin wich are very hot to be in so long
No woman ever knows what her father does, lol
It's a running joke
Clark c
That was really, really sexist. It’s not the nineteen fifties anymore, just so you know~
"Was" is the operative word. After 5 mins the satisfying effects are lost in favour of tedious monotony. Give your dad a hug and tell him you understand his job can be tough.
Before restoration it looks haunted
After the restoration it sounds haunted
probably is haunted, after you bring into the home, strange things might start to happen!
Haunted phantom piano; I gotta get behind that idea...
True
Remind me of the piano from the Titanic wreck
Mario piano agrees
Мастеру своего дела браво!!! У вас золотые руки:))
Who needs ASMR when you have this. It's 900X more satisfying in my opinion
This is a different kind of satisfaction
Too many harsh sounds
Maybe just the spraying and sanding but didn't work as ASMR at all,
As said above ASMR works a different way
Personally, I am a person who can't stand ASMR stuff ... just not my thing ... started listening with headphones on, and I had to take them out ... too much ASMR in these videos to watch with headphones. To each his own.
I need that sandblasting station. Most satisfying thing ever. I’d be sandblasting everything within reach....you have a new subscriber due to your sandblasting.
@Wednesday Addams same but then I realized it was $221
I used to be a finisher at my job and sandblasting was one of the many machines that I used to operate.
So, satisfying and the patience you must have is rewarding.
*this guy could literally fix anything...*
*could you help me fix my life?*
Lol true
The first time I read this I had a smile. The second time I read this I did not.
R Gamer why you gotta be so serious it’s a joke! 😂🤡
;-;Karma Coconuts;-; Hey come on, I was kidding too. That was funny. Texts always come out rude. I should have added smilies 😆
I'd ask him the same thing
That piano was actually way bigger than it appeard in the thumbnail. I was curious if you can make it sound properly after the restoration and what can i say, you did an amazing job. Well done :-)
Haha my mechanics is commenting on his own another chennel

Yeah, everyone thought it would be a Grand Piano 💪
but surprise! 🐣 😉

I pray that God does this. But, to my *life.*
I guess the sandblaster would hurt "a bit" ;D

I need sand blaster and rustic metal pieces for my personal satisfaction

That is a fabulous idea
Wow, this brought back memories. I had one of those as a kid, but mine was made of wood. The soundboard got detached somehow, and it just disappeared. One of my parents doing. I'm an old man now, and seeing this little piano brought not only memories but also tears to my eyes.... I'm happy you restored it.
The rest of us: "Throw it away. Its junk."
This guy: "Hold my beer."
who the hell would throw something like this away?
@@basementboy1910 Those who could buy something different or new :D
@@rzerizrz but its beutifull

*turns out to be tiny piano*

You expected his dad but all you got was a snot nosed brat named Timmy who claims his drawing of a dog is superior to yours 😂
What kind of big piano has only a few keys 🤣
You've Been Had
The way he does his descriptive subtitles makes it sound like a dnd game on an old computer
"The door is jammed, I must find another way"
LOL!!!!!!
LOL!!!!!
lol.
Dude wtf everyone in the reply said lol
LOL!!!!!
You are a true artist Sir. Most people would have just thrown it out. Amazing and beautiful. Thank you for sharing your project
The fact that he stills remembers where everything goes is amazing.
Jeannah Tey id he forgets he probably just looks back at the footage
Usually when you do restorations like this, you put things in an ordered arrangement when it's disassembled to make it easier, and/or take pictures of the bits as you're taking it apart so you can go back to it later.
Which isn't to say it's not impressive. Some of the things these restoration channels fix up would STILL be hard for me to put back together!
Jeannah Tey this man is beyond me
Ikr?!
Thank you for restoring Schroeder’s little piano. Charlie Brown and the rest of the peanuts gang will be so happy to know it works again!
Oh yes! That reminds me to one of my favourite Peanuts stories where Charlie is asking how Schroeder can play so difficult songs even if his piano has no black keys and Schroeder's brilliant answer was "I practice a lot."
Should have had Linus and Lucy playing at the end. (I know he usually has no music, but here...an exception)
Well, would have to wake Beethoven up to write music for only 29 keys instead of 88.
One of the best restorations I’ve seen. That really was a disaster before the restoration. I’m surprised it hadn’t been trashed long ago. Great job!!!!!
okay but that rust removal was one of the most satisfying thing I've ever seen
I love that satisfying 'thunk' when the peices snap together.
Y e s
I mean, the fact that it’s just the natural sounds and nothing else makes this utterly hypnotic.
Imagine someone restoring this again in another couple hundred years.
🧐
xd
I like the way you think!
If humanity last that long :D
Imagine restoring this when the Moon is about to crash on your city
最初はタイプライターみたいな音のするボロボロのピアノだったのに、貴方のお陰で綺麗な音色を奏でるピアノに戻った😭❤
ピアノの代わって、ありがとうございます。って言わせて下さい。
I'm way too rusty and old to live!...
[After Restoration]
Man, I look fabulous.
I love the care that you take & the knowledge that you have, in order to restore these things to perfection.
I mean it's his job
This guy: Can put all the pieces of a piano back
Me:Can't even put the pieces of a pen back
😂
That's literally why I throw away a pen every week.
Miya Ra oof hope it isnt expensive bro
Cringe
🤣🤣😂😂🤣
Surely this is a little piano restored with such care I think Liberace would even enjoy playing this thank you for your devotion you are a very special person
So very nice, especially well done although you had me a bit tense watching the time run but you hadn't played. Thanks so much for sharing.
Who else wishes that it was a normal sized piano
Me! Although seeing a piano in such a state would be immensly sad. And the restoring process woukd be nigh impossible: he would have to replace a lot of parts.
*yeah what about a skyscraper*
MemeMorto arent they cared for around the clock tho?
My grandfather and father restored string instruments, which includes pianos. They were true craftsmen and performed what others considered magic to many instruments. It definitely takes an artist to do these complicated restorations.
This guy did a good job with this toy.😊
And i thought it was a mini piano.
But it was a xYloPhoNe
The feeling of complete satisfaction and pride you must have after finishing a project, has to be the greatest feeling ever! Beautiful job R&R! Thanks for sharing! 👍👍✊️✊️✌️✌️
