This concept is why I’m so into declutters lately. You get to see what’s actually worth keeping, and what wasn’t used for more than just a first impression.
I think the beauty community is just collectively going back to basics in a way and realising things have gotten out of hand and that you don’t need 20 different foundations and 50 lipsticks. You just need a few that you love. So it’s nice to see things that have stood the test of time.

1. I've been using Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey for 30 years this year. 2. I'm so relieved that I'm not the only 48-year old here! 3. I don't have anything from when I was 16, but I do have a blush brush from a Clinique gift with purchase set that I got when I was 19 that I would be lost without and a wall mount lighted magnifying mirror that has been with me for 25 years and 3 moves and will be with me until my last breath because they just don't make them like that anymore. (The sale of our last house almost fell through because I had listed the mirror as something that wasn't staying even though it was attached and the wife REALLY wanted it. Our agent thought we were nuts, but my husband backed me up because he uses it when he shaves.)
I've moved about 10 times and recently found a zip lock bag filled with a peg, couple dried out pens, hair clip, screws, keys to somewhere and everything else I never needed but must have thought I would. I can actually remember putting them in the bag when moving years ago, they all came from the drawer that holds all the crap that has no where to go. Anyone else have one of those drawers? 😕 🚮💚

I still use bare mineral, way back when bare ecsentuals, mineral veil. I also have a lipstick my mother (RIP) kept in her purse, I pull it out and wear it to church a couple times a year, I’ll never throw it away, not ever.

Theres a loose highlighter called 'Turn On' Multitasking Highlighter by Bare Minerals that was originally in a kit called "Away We Glow" or something similar and it is STUNNING. Shelby Wilson has used it in some of her videos and I found it online. The best thing about Bare Minerals is the loose powder products DON'T EXPIRE. (YAY!)
I still use loose pigments a lot, especially my Inglot ones. They just can't be beat! My two-month old is watching you very intently with me rn 😂 She's riveted by your black and white top ❤️

They still have a similar type of theater experience in NYC!! It's called Sleep No More and it's a silent play with music and dance, but they also lead you around a hotel and give secret one on one sessions too. It's another Gossip Girl thing because the masks they wore in one of the masquerades on the show are the same masks you have to wear at Sleep No More. It's definitely a night of fun and getting out of your comfort zone, I 100% recommend!!!

I agree to an extent, but I'm a nurse so that makes a big difference. Sometimes you're so hungry because you didn't have time to eat all night that you will eat a cold piece of chicken and vegetables at 5am if that's your first chance.

I have RA and have some what I call bad hand days where brushes and blending shadows isn’t happening and my quick go to cheats are eyeshadow pencils. Less maintenance and easier than a cream and if you do blend out can kinda smudge with fingers or just barely any effort with a brush. I used those too when I worked and could get makeup done in like 10-15 minutes without having to have a no makeup look.
The Primer Potion from Urban Decay. My sister introduced it to me when I was like 12 (I'm 22 now) and I've been a lover of it ever since. There was a bit when I wasn't really into makeup after I used it but when I started getting back into it about 4 years ago I went straight for the primer potion. I've tried other primers and tbh, other than the one for Thrive causemetics, its my one and only

A pre-curled eyelash; however; will begin to lose its integrity and start to sag as you apply mascara and/or falsies to the opposite side. There's a liquid eyeliner I've bought for over five years from a poundshop in the UK, Poundland. I've never liked any eyeliner, drugstore or high end, more than it.

L'Oréal just released a collection of pigments and they look really beautiful. There's a red one in particular that's calling my name! If I'm honest, though,I look at them and think high maintenance. Am i really going to use loose pigment at 6 am while I'm getting ready for work before my kids wake up?? Probably not. But that red one though 🤤

That ABH brow powder is THE BEST makeup purchase to date! I wish I had a lighter shade, but I've had mine since.....2015, 2016 maybe? I've hit pan on both sides but they're still going strong and it's so fool proof. 🙏 they definitely don't get more love. I'm praying they don't get discontinued lol.
The only product I used for a long time was the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Liquid 24H foundation. Looking back it was so cakey, dry, and crusty on my skin! Now I'm all about a sheer glowy foundation, thanks to you! Loved this video, thank you, Sam! 😊

I’ve used physicians formula butter bronzer for a solid five years. And Milani luminoso blush.

There's a liquid eyeliner I've bought for over five years from a poundshop in the UK, Poundland. I've never liked any eyeliner, drugstore or high end, more than it.

L'Oréal just released a collection of pigments and they look really beautiful. There's a red one in particular that's calling my name! If I'm honest, though,I look at them and think high maintenance. Am i really going to use loose pigment at 6 am while I'm getting ready for work before my kids wake up?? Probably not. But that red one though 🤤

The hourglass blushes are amazing! I’m fair and can use the deeper ones which allows me to use different tones without worrying about putting down too much pigment.

That ABH brow powder is THE BEST makeup purchase to date! I wish I had a lighter shade, but I've had mine since.....2015, 2016 maybe? I've hit pan on both sides but they're still going strong and it's so fool proof. 🙏 they definitely don't get more love. I'm praying they don't get discontinued lol.

The only product I used for a long time was the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Liquid 24H foundation. Looking back it was so cakey, dry, and crusty on my skin! Now I'm all about a sheer glowy foundation, thanks to you! Loved this video, thank you, Sam! 😊
