Thank you sooo much for this video. We’re a week into my mom being with us. 2 days in, and we had to rush her to the ER. She was suffering from malnourishment, dehydration, and depression. She had quit taking her meds. By the grace of God, and His gift of courage, we will all get through this. Thank you again!
Colleen, it sounds like she moved in with you just in the nick of time! I hope she's doing better now. I'm glad this video was helpful, I think you might find some other videos here that will help you during this next chapter! My very best to you and your mom!!
Thank you again for another wonderful video! This made me feel better and want to cry at the same time! I just say to myself, keep swimming, keep swimming! My 92 yr old dad is home from short term ( very short term!); I had a break for about 3 weeks...he had a bad UTI. Now, he's back and his level of care has gone up 😳. I'm tired, grouchy, and very b%$&tchy. His home care that has been arranged is overwhelming me with a new schedule, new challenges. I want to schedule an appointment to see my mom again at a nearby nursing facility but I'm unable to for awhile because of dad's new schedule and level of care. Courage! Yes, I have that...by the grace of God He gives me the courage!
Just keep swimming....I love that! You're entitled to be tired, grouchy and "beachy", you're a normal human. This too will pass. Chin up...you're a courageous woman!
Thank you for your advice, I just found your video's tonight. And I've already watch serval of them. My Mother is fixing to move in with Me and my Husband, She just can't stay by herself any longer, it's getting to dangerous for her, Her Oxygen is dropping and is causing her to fall '' a lot'' Plus she is seeing things and people that isn't there, so I've already been looking and doing research on Dementia … I know this will change our life, but to be honest. I will feel better knowing she is safe, Thank You Again
@@SofiaAmirpoor Thank You for saying that, I am just grateful that I am able to care for her , I know it will be hard. but sometimes we have to go through the hard things to make it the right thing to do.
@@penultimateh766 As it turns out Mom was in worse shape than we knew, it's been a rough year and Mom had to have 24hr. care. as of Thursday I get a call from the doctor there isn't any more to do for Mom. She will be leaving us soon
@@penultimateh766 Yes she did move in with me and my husband, I became her 24hr caregiver , but then a trip to the doctors office , saying they needed her to go into the hospital two weeks and then into rehab. This went on for almost a year. My mother passed away last night not from Dementia. But from heart failure and her lungs were gone.
First video regarding this reality?? My father comes home from the hospital tomorrow, after having a stroke. He's okay, but even more diminished. The room is set up and I have been praying and struggling/working out where I'm really at with all this, so thank you Sophia for strongly affirming the definate uncertainty of all this and the degree of difficulty, I was right!!...obviously I hate the thought of all this, and want avoid and walk in denial..even though I think I'm trying face it, but deep down I do not,...but he is my father and I'm his son and that's it, so thank you again Sophia...COURAGE!!...even in the face of your own personal deep down denial..thank you Sophia for helping me get in touch with that more clearly...it gives me something more concrete to talk to Rabbi Yahshua about, and in our walk with Him and our daily working out of our own salvation in fear and trembling..knowing Yahshua Messiah is the Author and Finisher of our trust in Him..Again thank you Sophia,..you never know who He is going to use to help you along in dealing with actual reality..Shalom Shalom Isaiah 26:1-4 [1]In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; Yahshua is appointed for walls and bulwarks. [2]Open you the gates, that the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in. [3]You will keep him in Shalom Shalom/in perfect peace/in complete compliance, whose mind/whose imagination is stayed on You: because he trusts in You. [4]Trust you yourself in YHWH for ever: for in YAH YAHWEH is everlasting strength:..in scripture courage is faith...Trust..

Maybe assertiveness is better than courage. Or have the courage to be assertive. Don’t take any crap from them.
