      @@selohcin unfortunately those improvements don't actually lend well to real time physics. physics calculations can't really utilize multithreading from my understanding, and while frame drops are expected in this kind of game that kind of behavior would be a hard sell to consoles where frame drops are a thing that are avoided at all costs as they focus on creating a smooth experience for players. the most promising thing i've seen in terms of technology that could bring large scale real time physics calculations to mainstream gaming is using ai to create optimized physics calculations that are much easier to run.

    Man it would be cool to have a multiplayer on something like the bridge map or a city with interlinked buildings. One player tries to knock everyone down, or everyone fights to be the last one not touching the ground / water. Kinda like the old roblox natural disaster maps from the early 2010s.

    There should be games made off this engine, just a little creative remodeling and tweaks can make this the greatest engine made.

    Teardown is an amazing game but
    I wish teardown had multithreading because this game only uses a single thread
    So that leaves a lot of cores/treads unused which could be used to produce much higher performance
    You wouldn’t require more than 2 or 4 treads but 2 or 4 threads would be kinda difficult from a coding standpoint
    but amazing from a performance perspective
    I hope this will come to the game in the future

    One thing that would make this game really cool would be multiplayer. Think of it, and FPS game in a large destructible map, being able to break parts of the map to use to your tactical advantage to take out your enemies

    I hope that within 10 or 15 years we could have a game like teardown but the physics isn't like this, instead, it's like fully-fledged finite element analysis simulations and computation fluid dynamics simulations with strong 2 way coupling in like 4k 120 fps, that would be so fucking awesome

    • @GaranNoDou298
      @GaranNoDou298 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Problem is, we do already have convincing destruction physics. Red Dead Redemption 2's engine is able to make those, look it up. The issue is is that without constricts to what you can and cannot break, the amount of destruction in a photorealistic and detailed game will make PCs fry.

      @@general-sp5uf I'm honestly not gonna say that the old days were the good days but somehow they were more pleasing. I remember being excited playing GTA 5 on my brother's old build. Guess at how much it ran? About thirty fps while somewhere in-doors where there's not much action. And full on 1fps the moment something hard came onto it. And yet...I remember being excited nonetheless.

  • @JoyKazuhira
    @JoyKazuhira 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The inside scene and the destruction physics is so satisfying to watch. They should add a weight computation on those upper part of the building, its unrealistic on how a small piece of concrete holds the entire half of it.
