Will the shorty be able to tow a trailer? I noticed that you cut off the normal mounting points for the hitch. Are there new mounting points to be able to put a hitch back on it?
@@charlied9997 in one of his videos he mentions that the truck was built for a sporty look and they decided to not put the tow hitch on it. I also don't think it would be easy to put a tow hitch on it.

Man I went through almost the exact same problems as you after putting by 1000hp hp engine in,
First the full open fuel pressure then that exact wiring problem with the speedo and shifting as well with the los of power with white smoke. It ended up being a very slight leak on injector #7.
Hope you get it all figured out man, lb7 wiring is a pain, I call it the devils spinal cord lol
wiring issues can be a pain especially when mixing and matching parts to an old harness. Patience and a methodical approach is the only way to get threw it. you can do it and you and the truck will be better for it. Always love the new videos and cant wait to get my new truck. lol

Check your MAF sensor as well. Sounds silly but they’re super easy to put in backwards with a compound set up (happened to me). Air is only meant to flow over the MAF in one direction so if it’s in backwards it isn’t reading intake air flow correctly and you’ll never build boost.
What fuel/turbo setup?
S480 over a Danville 65 in the valley. Energy 10mm CP3 and LDS 60 over injectors
Take a deep breath and step back. You'll get it figured out soon enough.

Just an idea. Possibly the powder on the brake caliper brackets that bolt to the axle is holding the backing plate and mount out too far causing the backing plate to rub on the inside hat of the rotor.
Happened when I powdered my rear end.

Don't get discouraged bro. I've built 5 vehicles from the ground up, and every one was a nightmare. One problem after another, but eventually they all get fixed.
I had this same issue and it was NSBU switch alignment, first it was the switch then i replaced it with a brand new one, and then I had an NSBU alignment issue, got confused a long time before someone mentioned the alignment

Check all plugs on transfer case they control speedometer along with the abs plugs
I comment only like 5:30 into the vid. Everytime i connect something new i just want to reset everything before start and get a fresh boot..but hey seems like it's going forward 👍

Yes you have 3 speed sensor on the transmission of transmission the 3 plus on top of the transmission i had the same problem i put a new tcm and transmission 😢 but it was a dumb wiring i guess i hit something in the road but think god i did change the transmission it i had a blocked intercooler I don't even know why I checked the lines i blow the line out and black clutch material came out so I'm happy I changed it out and now it's running like a champion 2002 Duramax

I had the same anti theft light in my duramax, it ended up being the communications wire in the wire harness. It made the truck all types of crazy
If you figure out the white smoke issue please let us know. My 08 is doing this and can’t figure why. Just put on RDS 64 mil turbo. Stock injectors. Driving me nuts! I feel your pain brother
check your grounds check your alternator output check your batteries . Great place to start with computers acting crazy . I love your channel keep up the goos work brother !
hey man, from one service member to another, you definitely need a tune. I don't remember what you have for your compound setup but im almost willing to put money on it. i reckon you're still on stock fuel mapping. I understand you have big sticks, lift pump, duel fueling kit, but if the ECM is only telling the injectors to open/close on the stock tuning, you're never going to light the Nagasaki noisy boys. Hope this helps great truck also, the build looks great. your channel is the reason and my inspiration to start something on my own. Godspeed man!
Hang in there Man! A lot of stuff got changed on that powertrain, in a big time way. There’s bound to be a few bugs.
Wild same wire on my 5.3 was cut 2days ago..1st gear only 2 if I manually shifted.

The tune will make all the difference. When I write files for these Duramax’s they love negative timing with compounds and bug injectors. Running positive timing will make it feel sluggish. Check your maf sensor as well. I tuned a triple turbo lmm the other day. Was sluggish as all get out on the bad file.
Sometimes taking a break for a few days will recharge your mind . Frustration causes more problems . You have great troubleshooting skills and you will succeed. 👍.
That fuel tank bung in the top of your fuel tank at 11:58 in the video is that your return for your lift pump? And did you delete the Fuel cooler on that truck and do you recommend deleting it.
The switch that is plugged into the side of that trans that goes to that cable, needs to be replaced sounds like had it happen to me in our 03 Chevy 2500
Sounds like a ground issue brother, I did a frame off on an 06 f-250 made a crew cab short bed 6.0 4wd coil spring 4wd out of a 2002 crew cab short bed 5.4 4wd and it was ONE ground inside the cab under the dash that I forgot to switch over from parts truck that kept my trans from shifting correctly & kept it almost dead pedal.
The 1964 ford F600 cab over engine toy haller went on its first drive the other day plaged with over boost problems. I feel ya been working on the truck for 2 1/2 year's now.
Grab some battery post spray, the red stuff. Coat/spray all the ground connections to the frame. You’ll definitely be doing your future self a favor.
What year heads and injectors are the lb7 parts off of ? Reason im asking is because the 01 and 02 lb7 ficm cant be tuned with lly stuff. Are you running a lly ficm ?
The theft light would come on a few times every few days but it never effected the driving or anything in my lb7

Do a compression test to see if you have boost leaks and also it is going to definitely need tuning with the twins that a lot of boost for what the computer thinks should be a factory turbo and fuel system give the build the time and support it needs to sort out the little things and the reward will be sweet keep at it

Yeah I'm still blowing ECM B FUSE lost prndl indicator and guage issues unhooked ECM and FICM and still blew fuse blowing. Then today I tried to unplug the TCM and guess what? Lol the fuse didn't blow out on the Gray side of the TCM unplugged going to the Allison

You need to get the engine and transmission tuned my lbz did that exact thing would shift and kept saying shift range inhibited Or check the transmission make sure it’s not suck air through the filter and change the fluid that fixed my issue

Stay with it. The reality is what you're dealing with. Everyone watches all the programs. Where a ground up hot rod is built in 30 to 60 minutes and zero issues.... not true... editing is a miraculous tool. But sometimes it doesn't hurt to ask for help...and bring in some cavalry to assist...offer fresh ideas and eyes. Calling for questions on the phone is great but, you have shown before. Having someone in person is a tremendous help . It doesn't belittle you or your efforts or the build at all. But above all stay with. Showing everything... someone else is out there wanting to do a big build. This shows the reality of what to expect. You can do this...one step at a time .
Be sure to check both your turbos.
Look back into jh diesel and 4x4 videos a couple months ago. He had a truck doing the same thing he explained how to fix it.. best of luck

Dude, I guarantee, get it tuned like it is suppose to be, and fix the rear brake drag and that will help with filling sluggish. I had the same problem on my truck where it didn't matter on how much I pushed on the throttle, it felt like it didn't go anywhere and found out my rear left brake was dragging. Fixed it and the truck felt normal again. You have that problem plus being out of tune with running way to rich with un-burned fuel coming out the exhaust with the white smoke coming out. Fix those to problems and she will rip down the road with the only problem you will have is keeping rear tires on that sweet truck.
Keep plugging away. Its coming along well.

I need help asap I’m looking at a 6.4 powerstroke that has 130k miles and the truck has a real bad up pipe crack at idle it’s doesn’t smoke but after you drive it smokes can the up pipe cause it to smoke if there is no air feeding the turbo. Any would help

Keep plugging away - just think about how much you have done with this truck. You will get it all figured out - I am sure of that (remember the problem with the Cummins - you figured that one out). Take a break for a few days to do a re-set and get your mind clear if you are struggling with figuring it out - you will get it.

I hate to say this, but you’re probably going to have to tune the truck only to make it more efficient….. iron it all out. You’ve made huge modifications, and the stock program is probably going haywire trying to keep it balanced and start shutting stuff down. Nothing wrong with the truck. It’s just the computer doesn’t know what to do with it all the “Bald eagles and Freedom”🤷♂️ ( that’s your quote). But it’s all fixable brother. Just takes a little time.
I’ve been watching this series since the start and I can’t wait to see it light up.
