For those of you who are confused as to what happened at 8:57, Leo grabbed the ledge multiple times. You can grab it three times before you can’t anymore.

Common misconception: tethers can grab 3 times before touching the ground, regular ledge grab is 6.
Hes died quite a bit throwing in that tether cancel mixup, looks cool but is unnecessary most of the time.

It's frustrating to see Goblin miss conversions of sourspot uair but I can't blame him, last hit situation against Leo + hard to react to getting the sourspot uair. Super difficult

This is Leo's second set of the tourney I believe. He almost got sent to Loser's by a Min-Min. Had to bust out the R.O.B. and eeked out the win.

@@nickrouse8426 it's not his second set, it's just the second set that was streamed, they don't stream pools of top players because they are espected to go out of them, and give the chance to others to have stream time

That game 3 ending had my heart pulsating bro.
12:59 goblin could have won the game here. He ended up landing on his feet right in front of leo literally right at the ledge with more than enough time to jab and get that back air for the win, but goblin didn't react in time.
I wouldn't hold this against him but goblin had so many opportunities to punish things out of shield or continue combos that he didn't take because he couldn't react to them. Like many times when goblin found a landing up air and guessed where joker would end up when it's falling down easy to just react.
That grab release sent a message. He knew Leo went for a crazy drag down

Like three hits from Roy take out the whole Arsene metre and he has better range and out of shield, I just don't see post-nerf Joker as being as oppressive as Aegis
Jokers corner carry+stage presence is better than Roy's, but they're both very strong characters. This mu in particular is even for Joker, and I feel like it underrepresents why he's so oppressive.
They’re both like top three. There’s almost no distinction between them at that point.

For Joker? I think if the opponent DIs out the up air won't connect. Plus, a back air can lead into another back air very easily.
Still wondering? Mostly to set up an edgeguard at low percents/kill at high percents
It's just better and easier/more consistent to hit

Now I wanna see Kola vs Leo, Joker/Roy. I think Leo will win, but it's more interesting to me now after seeing Goblin do so well here. Most of these games were pretty close and Kola should know the matchup even more than him from playing omega all the time.
I think Goblin's approach was a bit too conservative here. He was very good at playing around Joker's kill options but his neutral was inferior by far. If he was more swingy it would've helped him to get his combos more often. That's where it differs from Kola imo. There were no sparks.

Tether grab limit, he used his tether 3 times before landing on stage and the 4th didn’t grab ledge because of the limit.

@casual_ssb3282 because leo was trying to do a stupid mix up by dropping the tether for no reason. In game 5 he did it properly but the vast majority of the time it's just a waste of time.
@@sebaschan-uwu in the Roy matchup I definitely don’t recommend it, but in some matchups dropping the tether to jump up and recover is a good mix up.

How is it wrong? Lee-oh is the English pronunciation, Lay-oh is the Spanish pronunciation so both are correct.
@@blueknight8079 you pronounce it they way someone goes by. Hence MKLeo goes by "Lay-oh" and not "Lee-oh" so the commentator is wrong.
@@coleslaw4040 super late reply (youtube is not notifying me when I get replies for some reason...) but Leo uses both. Go to the Summit skit where he and Mars are "teaching" the other players and he says "Mr. Lee-oh" so I'd say he's fine with either.
