I noticed that too. When asked if he needed help, said "yes", them corrected himself to a "yes please". Try to teach my kids the same. Please tell me you had to remind him over and over and over before he finally did it on his own. Because I basically have to remind my kids EVERY time.
The thing I enjoy most about your channel is watching you and your boys interact. They are both such good boys and you are a good father. This is so wholesome and wonderful! Oh and the awesome adventures you all have are amazing too!
Thanks!! I am really lucky, we get to do a lot of fun stuff together and it's fun to share with the world. Hopefully it inspires people to do cool stuff and get outside!
This video is proof that no matter how used to shredding as an adult you are children are just fearless 😂 love the content Eric it was you and seth that got me back into mtb hope you see this and all the best from the uk
MILO yer dang lucky. My dad was a politician. ERIC yer dang lucky. My dad's son was an unathletic nerd who would never get to experience life. Now (I) he gets to thru youtube. Keep em comin. The scenery is incredible, and watching Milo's progression makes me understand why it would've been cool to be a parent. The video of the drone rescue will be priceless.
Thanks for the great video Eric. I really enjoy these vids with your boys. I was a young kid when my dad passed away, so sometimes these kinds of videos can get me pretty emotional, but I'm super stoked seeing you give your sons a childhood full of fun adventures and quality time. Great stuff mate! All the best to you & your family. Looking forward to the MTB videos to come in the months ahead.
Oh man, sorry to hear that, I can't imagine. It's really fun to share this stuff with them and pass on the knowledge so they can get out and have fun! Back to bike vids real soon!
Wonderful video, men! Those downhill skills are mind blowing. Concerning herring-boning: you are right to emphasize leaning backward (this also applies to hiking and skiing uphill--of course, lean forward downhill), but the poles should be planted *downhill* of the skis while herring-boning--really prevents the back-slide and encourages leaning back.
Awsome ride! Must be so fun being out with your son. Can’t wait to bring my kids on some backcontry skiing, but i gues i have to wait a couple of years. My oldest is turning six this summer..
This is great! Eric is teaching his kids everything he knows, so they will probably be like him when they grow up. They are almost like Eric's shadow, doing whatever he does (at least in his videos)
I wish I had a split board I love to ski and snowboard this looks like so much fun. It’s almost the end of the season here in Colorado but it’s still fun. Hope you stay safe and happy and I would be my dream to snowboard or mountain bike with you guys sometime I love this channel
Nice job on the switch backs Milo those can be tough. You can also learn the “kick turn” an old cross country technique to help on steep switchbacks and something I try and teach people whenever I’m in the backcountry
O man, its so nice to go to the backcountry with your own kids. It brings totally new aspect to it. Though my kids are at the age (15 and 17 yo), that daddy is not coolest guy to hang around anymore or to go to backcountry with 😂
Hey man what’s up also I learned how to wheelie, I also love to ski and snowmobile. I really wish I live in Utah I go there every spring break and love it so much. I love cold and my dream dream house is 91 White Pine. But probably won’t happen sick video!
DJI app records the drone video feed on the phone storage (lower resolution). So you can't be certain he already recovered the drone 😄 Even with the drone stuck on the tree, it would be possible to download videos to the phone as long as the battery holds (if the drone didn't shutdown on the crash).
You can tell Eric is a good dad when Milo corrects himself to say “yes please”
Haha I didn't expect that, he is a good kid for sure!
🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌👍👍👍👍👍
Lil dude said, “I’m ready to shred, dad.” ❤️❤️❤️
Such a gnar-dog
Haha yeah he loves it
such a good Father! and super polite son (s)!

We are very lucky, I definitely don't take it for granted! Drone recovery video coming next, should be a good one!
Whatever you do, don't ask Seth to help you. I've seen what he does with his drones!

So fun. We're getting the jumps running ASAP, get up here!!

We're having so much fun, can't wait for this winter! Thanks for watching, have a great day!
That looks like SO much fun! Good planning dad, great activity!
Watching you with the boys helping them grow and seek adventure is such an awesome thing.
Yay another vid!
You must be so proud, you are doing such a great job with the kids! Amazing to watch!
New video YAY
Online school will have to wait.
Same!
Haha good call!
I just got to the part where you taught Milo ( Idk how to spell his name) how to do a switch back and you such a good dad 😂 my dad would never help me
You spelled it right! Thanks, hope you have an awesome day!
@@PorterMTB Hope you have an amazing day to

Always love your vids and this one was probably your best yet and love watching Milo learning to do the switch backs.
That's awesome, glad you liked it!

Yeah you're right, didn't have time in this video to get too in depth with the explanations! Takes a while to get them figured out!
Awsome ride! Must be so fun being out with your son. Can’t wait to bring my kids on some backcontry skiing, but i gues i have to wait a couple of years. My oldest is turning six this summer..
Yeah it takes a while for them to be ready, but then it's on!! So fun!
you guys are amazing!! Always happy when you post!
Glad you enjoy it!
Milo shreds hard. Living the dream he is
Yeah he's a lucky kid, having fun!
There's nothing better than untouched powder! Great to see you sharing the stoke with your son. He's a multisport ripper!
It really is the best!
Great style on those carves, Milo.
I'm super impressed with how you handled that glade section.
Great as always!
Thanks!!

Yeah the season is tapering down here too, hope you get a splitboard someday!
Lucky u guys still got terrain to ride I’m out of snow in the east
Yeah it's still good up high, our winter started late this year though!
Now this is some of your best content
Thanks, that's really good to hear!
Love the splitboarding videos! Also side note, your son has an absolutely beautiful turn, he’s got a future ripping pow!
Milo was SHREDING THAT!
Yeah he was!
That looks like a blast! Fun stuff
Milo did great. He rocks!!!
Milo is such a great kid I would never hear kids say please and thank you as much as milo it’s great that he can use his manners correctly
Seeing Milo leading is so cool. Talent in spades!
Amazing scenery! Looks like a great time!
Great content! One of the best split board vids I've seen. And thanks for starting with avy awareness.
Glad you liked it! One of my favorite things to do, and yeah avy awareness is so important, need to get the word out!
I get my stoke on just running behind a balance bike so that must be some top drawer parent feelings!
Lovely video. Hope you get your drone down.
Yeah it's amazing following him down on a snowboard!
What an epic day! Love the adventure vids. Go Milo, you have a great teacher who looks so proud of you🤙
Great video as always, keep shredding!!!
Thanks! You too!
I already miss the POW and groom runs in the east already.
Me too, winter is never long enough, but summer and bikes make up for it!
So stoked to see the finished product! Can’t wait for the drone recovery 😂
It's gonna be a good one!
what a view.... wow.... I enjoyed every minutes... thank Eric..
I can’t wait to get my new ski setup this summer I plan on getting the slalom switch bindings so I can go into the backcountry with my dad
That's awesome! Those bindings are great!
Eric:crashes drone, says that’s a bummer in the cheeriest voice ever.
Milo is a shredder!

Milo can shred. Awesome video.
Could you make a video showing us some of your local MTB Trails in Park City?
Planning on it this summer!
Great video milo did great
Thanks! Yeah he did awesome!
Nice job on the switch backs Milo those can be tough. You can also learn the “kick turn” an old cross country technique to help on steep switchbacks and something I try and teach people whenever I’m in the backcountry
Yeah it takes a lot of reps to get them dialed, he's learning quick though!
@@PorterMTB ya it does and I’ve seen some pretty hilarious failed attempts however once you’ve got it down, it’s just another tool for the toolbox.
Epic father son adventures! Great filming too. Too bad about the drone. I was anticipating some great footage of the descent!
Blower pow, looks so fun, you and Milo both rip... keep the stoke alive
Thanks!! It's so much fun
That looks sooo fun!!
It's my favorite!
DUDE the pow look amazing.

Haha yeah I wonder how the teenage years are gonna go! It's really cool showing him the ropes now!
Awesome! That's a serious workout.
Yeah its almost 2k' vert, big steep climb!
Yay another video
✌️
Milo has extraordinary natural talents
here in Canada we don't have snow anymore so its awesome to see this
It's melting quick here, but we had a great surprise storm that overdelivered!
Milo can shred!

That's so cool!!!
Lucky kids. Dads like this are about 1 in 5 million
SO SICK!! Stoked on this video. Bummer on the drone. There are some ways to retrieve a drone that high up....a little tricky to explain
th-cam.com/video/nOY0dvRI7oI/w-d-xo.html
Thanks! That's a great idea, this was way too high for that though, and I couldn't even see it from the ground!
That looked pretty fresh for April
Yeah I thought we might be done for the year, but we got a huge storm cycle that over delivered, had to take advantage of it!
so lucky, nice video!
That looks fun I want to try sick great video
It's so much fun! Thanks!
@@PorterMTB it looks to be fun can’t wait for the summer riding
Best thing is when you can’t find a video, then Eric posts.
Random question regarding the snow mobile: why are they both standing all the way up? Is it too rough to sit down?
Yeah it's the easiest way on a mountain sled to get around with two people, it only has one small seat.
Man the trails are sooooo whooped out
Yeah it's late spring so they stopped grooming them, starting to get pretty whooped out!
what backcountry ski run was that? If the snowpack heals here soon I would love to go hit it
Who was camera man when both of you were in the frame and the camera was moving?
My friend Julian came along to help shoot, he’s listed in the description!
Awesome vid!!!!!
Thanks!!
I love your videos keep it up
Glad you like them!
Who else saw a slide at 8:34 and freaked out? Great vid by the way!!!
Thanks! No slides when we were out, really good stability. Lots of deep snow to slash though, great conditions!

Did anyone else see that other person at 2:23
I'm so jealous its insane

awsome thanxs !!!
Way to be an awesome Dad! How long did it take to hike up versus how long it took to get down?
Great vid as always 👍 See that you got the drone clips edited in, so take it you retrived the drone before editing?
Have to watch the next vid to find out! Haha it's way up there!

Is Milo left handed? As a leftie I noticed his position on the snowsplit thing that I did not know exists😄
just curious, on who is taking the shots of the both or you ? did you hire a videographer?

Wow Milo can shred
