      90s babies have nothing 2do with the last legitimate generation.so even if u were born in 90..u were 9 at best when thr decade ended.u had no social status or interaction and most likely very little memory of anything that actually occured in that time frame.i know it sux..but be honest with yourselves.ura millenial cunt and the vast majority of that generation are uneducated..the irony of that is, uve had access to more information than any other human b4u.somehow theyre all sensitive cunts and half retarded though.keep up the good work kids.xoxo

    A big thing I remember from being in high school 2000 to 2002 was LETTERS. We still wrote letters to each other by hand. Many times it was the only way to have a private conversation with someone ( unless parents found the letters). Passing letters to chicks was risky business because they would keep them and get caught at home. It really sucked at times. I remember my big crush was always grounded and it was like trying to get a message into north Korea to contact her.

    I was lucky enough to finish high school in the early 2000's, before the internet became recognizable as it is today. I had real friends and socialized regularly with a great deal many real people, discussing philosophy, the end of religion, the end of the punk rock era as we knew it, sharing poetry, playing in bands together, and the majority of my life was offline. Now I'm in my 30s and those friends I made and I struggle to cope with life as we now know it; virtue signalling, bashing opinions that differ from mainstream society, and very little physical, meaningful human interaction. For those of you struggling with this now, whether young or old, or anything in between, it is not to late to reverse this trajectory. Reach out to someone you care about; we care about you, too. Everything has been all political and divided the past decade and in my eyes, I could pinpoint it back to demo release of Resident Evil 5 where there was backlash that you were in Africa killing black villagers. Then you had Obama who came out swinging on Christians right away, then years later said he wished he had a son that looked like a tatted up thug who got shot by a Hispanic community watchman who was somehow made out to be a White cop.

    The technological advances were amazing, but everything else went to shit. Prices for everything skyrocketed and incomes decreased for the first time since the depression era. We still haven't recovered and we're nearly through another whole decade. All the good times that started during the early '80s and continued through the '90s came to crashing halt with 9/11 and the subsequent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Easily the worst decade since, but not as bad as, the Depression-WWII era. Becoming an adult in this decade after living my childhood in the comparative decadence of the '80s and '90s was a major bummer.

      Well every decade has their struggles I can name off many good things of the 2000s along with the bad.I kinda of like to compare the 2000s to the 70s and 60s when Their was more tense moments in America including wars,the draft,energy crisis,high gas prices and many different protests.Point is the 2000s may seem bad but really don’t be so blinded by nostalgia and realize every decade had bad events.In fact the overall crime rate in the 80s and 90s was higher than the 2000s.Some bad things in the 80s was a high crime rate,the start of an aids pandemic and an early 80s recession.The 90s had Waco,Ruby ridge,the Oklahoma City bombing,Columbine,La riots and also a higher crime rate as well as the first attack on the Twin towers.The 2000s personally for me weren’t bad because it was my childhood.Funny enough the struggles you experienced in the 2000s are like what gen z will have to face in terms of climate change and high college prices caused by yet again the baby boomers.Man the baby boomers sure fucked the millennials and gen z over in different ways due to their careless shitty behavior.

    I was born in 1992 so I clearly remember this! The last decade of playing with toys. There were still no apps, Bluetooth, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, smart TVs or smart watches. Wow! It's interesting how the animation movies of saying they entertained the younger audience are Pixar movies. I myself still have Finding Nemo as one of my favorite movies. When Pixar was successful. DreamWorks is successful now like a couple of decades ago. Myspace got used in the latter half of the decade. Sponge Bob got popular. And the iPod made it easier to listen to music. I remember CDs, iPods, MSN, Yahoo, thicker computers and still really going to the movie theater as what aren't used anymore or are about to go obsolete now. I do appreciate this decade of two decades ago. What I find sad now is toys not well played with anymore. It's hard to believe that even the iPod isn't used anymore. The last decade also of Blockbuster for movies.

One of the images was of a forest of candy canes, one with vertical stripes instead of spiral ones and a word bubble that said "Something must have gone wrong"; another one with polka dots instead of stripes and a word bubble that said "I'm not myself today"; and a small one that was pure white and had a word bubble that said "I'm too young to have stripes." That book also had a picture of elves making wreathes on a sort of assembly line, and another one of multiple Santas on different roofs, all of which had word bubbles which said "I'm not real" except for one, whose word bubble said "I'm real." I wish I remembered the title of the book. Does this sound familiar to any of you?

    I was born in 2001, and the 2000s was a fun decade to live in, although it would be impossible to relive the 2000s for like a week because we’ve become addicted to social media, internet, streaming services, and more advanced technology of today that we feel like we couldn’t live without. Other than that, I enjoy the movies, video games, and music of that decade which are my favorite things about it.

When I was in elementary school, damn it was lit af!!, my principal was cool and everything was just amazing man but of course once the old principal left, everything changed in my elementary school. I mean luckily I did experience all my 5 years of elementary with my old principal because jesus man, the school is so boring and lame now. My family as well changed, I remember when my mom and my brothers loved going outside and my house was completely filled with gangster posters and girls and all that emo stuff lmao. Not anymore though, after 2013 it felt like I went to some other world, it doesn't feel right and I miss the good old days man. Wish I could go back!

I could see your point very well on the mid-late 2010's (2014-2019). Those years were very noticeably trash but were the early years of the decade (2010-2013) trash also?

    • @seanvasquez523
      @seanvasquez523 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Dagoth Ur, Well that's subjective too you know? Some of this stuff got their start in the 2000s as well you know? And even still decades that happened before the 2000s could also have some stuff where some of it can be trash but some of it can be really good. Also the statement "Zoomers would only like this past shit decade" is kinda redundant since you could apply this with any decade and any generation. I mean does only Gen Zer's like the 2000s and no one else does? How about the 90s? Does that mean only millennials likes that decade and no one else does? And how about the 80s as well? Does that mean Gen Xer's likes the 80s and no one else does? You see here it doesn't mean that only one generation will like a decade just because they grew up in it. Other generations can like certain decades too.
      I mean I saw some TH-cam comments the other day that didn't belong to either millennials or gen z. I saw a few Gen Xer's liked the past decade and the 2000s and stuff. Now I'm not trying to say that you should like or dislike a decade just because of all the stuff that happened in it and then tell everyone that it's trash or good for a fact and that everyone should believe in it. Obviously everyone's entitled to their own opinion regardless of it being a very overly cliche statement to say. If you liked the 90s and hated the 2010s well then good for you and I respect that. But you need to know that just because the 2010s had a lot of the shit stuff you mentioned doesn't mean that it was only in the 2010s. It got their start in the 2000s which could maybe explain people's mixed reactions with that decade.
      Also not all of the 90s were all sunshine and rainbows. Most of the greatness that were from the 90s were mostly in North America. If you asked someone from the countries of Bosnia and Herzegovina on how the 90s were then they might give you a much different answer than in someone in North America for example. Also not one generation is going to like or hate a decade just because they grew up in it. People of all ages and generations are allowed give out their certain opinions on how they thought of past decades they lived through because if they liked or hated the 2010s, the 2000s, 1990s, or just any decade for that matter then that's fine. It's all subjective after all and that we all want to hear about people's thoughts and experiences through these past few decades.

I know the 2000s wasn't that great because we had to go through 9/11 with the terrorist attacks and Hurricane Katrina but life was still good in the 2000s because the world never became the same like it used to be since the 2010s plus the 2010s became worse.

      @Endless Nameless Agreed. Yeah, there were some negative news in the 2000s but many of us didn't care about that because life was simpler and happier where we got to play outside, hang out with friends, party, stay up late having fun, sleep in, do whatever they want, etc. for kids, teenagers, and people in their 20s. When it became the 2010s and beyond, everybody is almost always busy with their life.

      I was born in 1982 and I have a good memory too. I always say that I can remember the mid to late 80's. Starting around age three in 1985. But if I really stretch my memory back I can actually remember Christmas 1984 when I was 2 years old. It might take some family photos to trigger those memories but I can put myself in that place at that moment in time and remember what I was doing at the time. Like for example, Christmas 1984. We have a picture of me and my baby brother sitting on my Dad's lap while my Dad reads "The Night Before Christmas" next to the Christmas tree. I actually have a flash memory of sitting on Dad's lap. I was sitting on his left knee and my brother who was an infant was sitting to the right of me on my Dad's right knee. I can seance that my Mom is standing off to the right of me in front of us taking the picture and watching Daddy read the story to us. My Dad was having a hard time getting through the story with a wiggly toddler and infant on his lap. I was eager to turn to the next page to look at the pictures on the other side of the page but my Dad wasn't finished reading the page yet. He got frustrated and tried to block my hand from reaching the page. I remember my Dad saying "Meredith let me finish reading. Don't turn the page yet!", over and over while he was reading the story. My brother was being wiggly and was a little fussy because it was almost our bed time.
      What is your earliest memories? How far back can you remember?
