The religious right have subjected us to plenty of inane laws and constitutional violations. I'm an atheist and most of my family are still Christian and I fear the kind of idiocy they and their ilk might implement if we ever returned to a religious right in the ascendency. However, that possibility is comically far away.
The cringe makes it impossible for me to finish watching your tribalistic, dogmatic, essentially religious "takedown" of Trump's religious followers. Neo-Marxism and the globalist threat are so much more insidious, so much more destructive to Western Civilization, and yet your tribal, religious mind will not allow you to properly analyze and recognize that threat. Instead you mock (some genuinely idiotic) people who notice aspects of this threat and give it their own idiotic, religious interpretation. Again, these dingbat theists may be part of a political movement but their influence is not very concerning.
The great degradation we're experiencing across the West, from the Anglosphere to Germany to Italy to Norway to France et al (see the most recent mass uprising and violence in France) is the result of a de facto global oligarchy who are ascendent and at war with the white, Western world. (Also, Emma, the most alarming fact that is being suppressed is that of race. See 'A Troublesome Inheritance' by Nicholas Wade or 'Human Diversity' by Charles Murray. These mainly cover the issue from the perspective of the human genome but genetics simply confirm broad conclusions already known from twin studies, expat studies, IQ studies, socio-economic data, history, etc. Attempting to accommodate this one suppressed, forbidden truth will, in itself, dramatically change your worldview. But you don't have the stomach for that, you need your tribe. Your vanity needs a crowd to virtue-signal to.)
Your inability to criticize your own tribe and question your own dogmatic views on politics and economics is fascinating and ironic.

My father literally had to sit in a clinic and decide whether or not he'd go to the hospital when covid had him struggling to breathe. Ultimately he signed a paper refusing care because he knew we couldn't afford it. We live in a dystopia. He literally decided to risk death rather than put our family in debt. Luckily he turned out OK. But him explaining to me why he didn't go to the hospital broke my heart.
He knew it'd be okay if he did pass because I'm an adult and could take over helping my mom keep the family safe. He should NOT have had to go through that fear.

Love your videos. As a born and raised American who was raised in a fundamentalist American Christian household and was told by my parents W won back in 2000 because of a lot of the same reasons why these people say Trump won in 2016, I am constantly frustrated and ashamed of my country. I definitely do not believe it is or ever was the "greatest" country in the world (which honestly, what does that even mean?) and as a queer person who also studies history I am well aware this definitely has not been true for anyone but white Christian cis straight men. And cis straight men of the main religion and race of a country are always going to think their nonsense is awesome for some reason, I guess because they don't have to suffer nearly as much as everyone else does for their bs. I really wish I could leave the US for many reasons, especially because of the awful healthcare and how so many of my neighbors and politicians see me as lesser. It's quite upsetting to live here for many of us, and trust me, many Americans do not even like this country, and we definitely do not think it is the best in the world. Unfortunately for saying such things, conservative Americans call us evil and traitors and "socialists" (which I am a socialist, just not for any reason that most conservatives think because not a single one I've met actually understands the concept). And then they tell us to leave, which is ridiculous because trust me if I could afford to, I would. But also, isn't the point of a "free" country supposed to be that I can critique it? But as per usual, such types tend to think freedom of speech and religion only applies to them. It's a very sad situation over here, and I can say with full confidence, America has never been that great, and almost every problem we have is due to greed (mostly by the rich and not at all by those extremely few who qualify for the tiny bit of welfare the country gives out) and Christian fundamentalism and those who support them.

However, because of a lack of education, a lot of middle- and lower-class people have been tricked into thinking that the government is gonna take their money to pay for universal healthcare. (I mean, it's probably not a stretch since we know they'd never tax the rich to pay for something like that.) So, they don't vote for people that try to improve the healthcare system because they already have so little money to live on. It really sucks, because there are people running (and people currently in Congress, like AOC) who would like to tax the rich to pay for these things, but because of lobbyists, they don't get very far.

The craziest thing is that the wait times in the US vs. other nations aren't all that large [excluding Canada because Canada is a massive outlier compared to any country in that statistic.] It should also be noted that the only data on this that exists for comparisons of the US to other countries comes from surveys. There is not a more definitive/authoritative source that include the US in their data... & those surveys are pretty much exclusively ones carried out by The Commonwealth Fund. As some examples [to try & save space they are listed from best to worst nation along with the specific percentages in parenthesis] :
      A 2021 survey for older adults [65+]
Percentage of people who waited 6 or more days for an appointment when sick:
      Germany (4%) | Netherlands (5%) | Switzerland (9%) | UK (14%) | New Zealand (15%) | Australia (17%) | Norway (20%) | France (21%) | US (22%) | Sweden (22%) | Canada (31%)
      A 2021 general population survey
Percentage of people able to see a doctor or nurse on the same or next day the last time they needed medical care
      Germany (75%) | Netherlands (66%) | Australia (65%) | France (53%) | Switzerland (53%) | UK (52%) | US (49%) | Norway (47%) | Canada (38%) | Sweden (33%)
      A 2016 general population survey
Percentage of people able to see a doctor or nurse on the same or next day the last time they needed medical care
      Netherlands (77%) | New Zealand (76%) | Australia (67%) | Switzerland (57%) | UK (57%) | France (56%) | Germany (53%) | US (51%) | Sweden (49%) | Canada (43%) | Norway (43%)
Percentage waiting 2 or more hours for care in emergency room
      France (9%) | Germany (18%) | Netherlands (20%) | Australia (23%) | US (25%) | Sweden 26%) | New Zealand (30%) | UK (32%) | Norway (34%) | Sweden 39%) | Canada (50%)
A different 2016 general population survey
Percentage waiting more than 4 weeks for specialist appointment
      US (25%) | Switzerland (26%) | Germany (27%) | Netherlands (29%) | UK (43%) | Sweden 45%)
Percentage waiting more than 4 months for elective surgery
      Germany (0%) | Netherlands (4%) | US (4%) | Switzerland (7%) | Sweden (12%) | UK (12%)
However in that same survey the percentage who skipped care [seeing a doctor when sick, recommended treatment/test, and/or filling a prescription or skipping doses,]
      Germany (7%) | UK (7%) | Netherlands (8%) | Sweden (8%) | Switzerland (22%) | US (33%)
That's not even to mention to fact that physicians in the US spend roughly 50% more time on administrative tasks due to the complexities & number of varied requirements of different sources of claims payments... or the 2 to 4 times as many full-time administrative staff members for these same & other reasons compared to other countries.

If the Native americans successfully fought off the whites as "foreign invaders' everyone on the whiteleft side would be praising their bravery for resisting the destruction of their culture and gene group as a people by "people of a a different ethnic group".
Whiteleftists if they were black would be called race traitors, no doubt. If they were In a black country and were fighting for white mass migration to enter, and saying "our peoples culture is the worst and we dont deserve to have land", I think that black person in that black country would probably disappear very quickly, and then whitelefts living in western countries would also condemn those "traitors".
Its an odd position for whiteleftists to hold, that ethnostatism would be right for nigerians and native americans who are losing their culture and being replaced by colonizing whites, but that when the reverse starts happening suddenly thats okay. The only conclusion I can draw from this is whitelefts are like the jewish people in WW2 who actually helped the nazis detain and boxcar their own people. Extreme self loathing. In fact, Attack on Titan did a mindfreak twist in the last season to show this very behavior, where "the good ones" who were working with the advanced civ govt A to kill their own people who were stuck in quasi-midieval technology on an island, were doing so because they wanted to prove their worth and thus show they were better human beings, despite the fact they all had to wear yellow sunburst armbands (imagery), and their ethnic people were otherwise corralled in fenced off sections of city.
History is full of such "ethnic traitors", aka, so called race traitors. Whitelefts are exactly this kind of person. IN fact, going back to Attack on Titan, there is one person in particular who is trying to exterminate his entire own ethnic group specifically BECAUSE of "the evils our ethnic group did in the past and society would be better off".
I can google "whiteness must end" and "white people must be stopped for the sake of the world" and I can google "whites must pay a 100% wealth tax" and "jews must pay waelth tax in germany" and I can see exactly where all this is going.
While the N words were wrong for how they went about it, they absolutely would not be wrong in a whiteleft worldview for wanting to maintain their ethnic group, IF a whiteleft person gave them the same charity as they give indian reservations. If we saw a sudden influx of white people into native american reservations, who then brought a criminal element to them which was burning their temples and religious pieces down, trying to subvert their culture from within, all the "good whites" would not matter. You'd call for expulsion of all of them because of the threat the minority of whites causing trouble poses. You know how I know this? The Haiti mass unliving and ethnic cleansing is defended by leftists because blacks were oppressed and ending every white person's life on the island was fine, regardless of whether or not the white person actually did anything wrong or harmed a black person with slavery. In other words, guilt is ethnically collective.

And what's weird, most people just accept this as just the way things are. People who have no health insurance, spend more than half their income on housing, and work three jobs just to pay their bills will argue with you that taxation is theft. We are indoctrinated from an early age that, "if you just work hard and stay out of trouble, you, too, can someday be rich!" That idiot promise has most people here defending the rich. There's also a weird tendency to venerate the uber-wealthy. What's troubling is that this attitude is rarely challenged, and there's small chance that it will ever fundamentally change. From where I sit, it's fed mostly by the unholy alliance between politicians, corporations, the media and evangelical Christian groups. FYI, in the Bible, the eagle usually represents Rome (i.e. the Aquila) and the lion (aka Shir) represents Mesopotamia -- in particular, the Persian/Parthian empire. So, for example, when the Book of Daniel 7:4 talks about a lion that gets its eagle's wings torn off, it is probably a reference to the Roman-Seleucid war of 192 bce, in which the Seleucids, who are the lion (even though they were technically Greek, not Persian, but occupied the territory of the ancient Persian Empire) were defeated by the Romans, thus, metaphorically, bringing the lion back down to earth. Daniel is claiming to "predict" this event, even though the Book of Daniel was written after it.

I have a lot of Evangelical friends and family. Anecdotally, I have thought that there were correlations between Evangelical Christians and how they have been primed to follow authoritarian leaders to falling for fascist/strong man leaders like Trump. All of the other things like tribalism, bad media literacy and the mental gymnastics they have to do to ignore the obvious flaws in their chosen god King flows from that point.
The history of prosperity gospel and how it was created to combat the rise of socialist preachers in the 20s and 30s also played a part in this whole thing.
Basically, libertarian oligarchs co-opted religion and this is the logical consequence.

Not to discredit your experience, but as a foreigner, I can assure you that a lot of us are willing to forgive Trump a lot of his shortcomings for his one single advantage: he's NOT warmonger and afraid to be drawn in any war his inept diplomacy causes, and he seems even willing to withdraw troops from occupied or influenced states or even military bases that he deems not worthwhile.

@JabelldiMarco yeah.. the guy threatened nuclear war on twitter, before ultimately becoming buddies with that particular dictator. His announcing the relocation of the US embassy to Jerusalem destabilized that region in a way nothing else has in decades, and brought it to the brink of war, and then had absolutely nothing to do with preventing it.
His strike on the Iranian commander, which he didn’t even notify congress about, brought us closer to war with Iran than we’ve been in decades. Withdrawing from Afghanistan was one of his major campaign promises, and he flaked on it entirely.
You are willing to forgive horrendous s**t, that he does not deserve, based on a delusion, based on something that is nothing more than pure chance. The guy has the grace of a drunken mastodon and the leadership skills of an animated but illiterate rock.
I’m sorry, but if you think ‘not a warmonger’ is somehow redeeming, even if that were true and he wasn’t a bumbling buffoon who nearly brought us into conflict various times, for petty ridiculous reasons, it still wouldn’t even be a good start to redeeming him relative to the rest of his ghoulish qualities, to everything he is. A petty, selfish, vindictive, dishonorable, pathologically lying disgrace, who cares only about himself as he’s done his entire life, who never stops trying to divide to solidify his own support, who will just do damage out of spite when he doesn’t get what he wants, and who betrayed his oath to the constitution, democracy, the will of the people and anyone who’s ever served in any capacity to preserve the peaceful transfer of power, the instant his choice was between honoring any of those things and getting his way. Just, no..

    • @WilliamBrowning

@JabelldiMarco dude, he didn't start any 'wars' but he didn't get out of Afghanistan and in 4 years approved more drone strikes than Obama did in 8 years. So he's 'anti-war' the way he holds every other position, until it no longer serves Trump and then he'll swear he was NEVER anti-war.

    • @auto117666
      @auto117666 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@JabelldiMarco You are lost and uninformed.
      1. Trump withdrew from one of the only great things that Obama did which was the Iranian Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action which significantly cooled tensions in the region
      2. Trump continued and accelerated drone strike program in other countries
      3. Trump supported the war in Yemen to the point he actually vetoed Congress trying to stop our involvement
      4. Trump withdrew from the nuclear treaty and bragged about ramping up nuclear production
In fact, Trump accelerated every military operation America was currently involved
To be fair, he talked about withdrawing from Afghanistan, and his generals made a plan to withdraw, but was too cowardly to act on those plans until after the election. There was no way to know if he would have actually gone through with those plans. Again, Trump is a coward and a liar.

I didn't even know a documentary like this existed, and I'm an American. This is why I choose to live under a rock and dissociate from reality. Healthcare is so expensive that I can't even see a trauma therapist to get me out of the flight and fight state. I hope there's not much zealot evangelist around, or I'd be stone to death walking out my front door. Living in this age as a 37 yr old American has given me a dark sense of humor. All we can do is make a stand-up about it. The anti-abortion deal is a real issue with women needing medical abortions, having to drive to a sanctuary state. We have to have sanctuary states to treat human beings like human beings. United States has beautiful landscapes and potential, but it was built with the intention of being polarized, including building zones, the choice of being a car country, and road dominant, which has a dark history behind it. Anything that treats humans like humans, an ignorant person will say it's communism. This is what the system in America has created. The system is a difficult thing to change with people not on the same page or book altogether.
