In theory you don’t add frequencies you increase or decrease the amplitude of the existing frequency response. For example if no 6Khz exist I mean zero you can’t add it with an EQ pedal, the EQ can only enhance what is already there.
This was actually intentional because a lot of my subscribers use modelers like the HX Stomp in the video and that's how the chain is set up > Left to Right. But I also put them going down hill and showed how the signal pours into each effect to clear that up.
It's a WORSHIP video. If you want a horrible chilli dog, an alternative to Harry Potter or LOTR book, an b old man's hand on your ballsack or someone that struggles with logic trying to explain logic to you.. he's your man. He works with his hands... and is disrespectful of his own religion
This was Very helpful for me. Thank you! I do have a question though, and that is should i set my amp EQ like i want it without any pedals, then add the overdrive and adjust eq on the pedal without making any changes to the amp?
Yes. That way the eq pedal is like a compliment. If your amp eq sucks you can run the pedal into your fx loop and keep the amp at noon settings. There’s so many options.

Thanks bud I'm just diggn into boosting and tightening my lows with this eq I havnt used in 2 yrs 🤟🤟🤟🤟

Pre distortion changes the tone of your pickup and decides which freq's are distorted.
I like both, so it's time to get another EQ I suppose. That sonicake would look good on my board.
I love it and such a good price
so for example if i want it adter distortion i would do 1,Wah, to a 5150 Overdrive to a Tubescreamer to the mxr EQ to my amp
That ain’t gonna confuse beginners by showing the signal chain going left to right rather than right to left… 🤷🏻♂️

It was very clear to me.
@@danielmiller2886 yeah, me too, but are you a beginner? That was my point, otherwise left to right changed to right to left about 1972
Sir, I suspect sarcasm

No clearty , lot of confusion
So after the distortion always sounds better. Thank you for the video.
That is how I typically run it for sure!
This where I had my MXR 6 band eq - but wasn't sure and now I am
It's just different I think, I run eq before dirt to pick which frequencies get more clipping rather than shaping the distortion itself

Great video. The illustration was really good. New subscriber!
Thanks! 🙏🏻 glad to help

The perfect v has been my favorite shape forever!!! Love you brother and have a blessed day!!!
Thank you so much!
@@HeyWorshipLeader Bass pedals too
Also it really waiks up the old favorite songs when you play them back!!
the V sounds the best when im playing alone, but the scooped mids makes my guitar virtually inaudible when im playing in a band
