Lewis Hamilton Driving His Pagani Zonda 760 LH in Monaco ! LOUD V12 Sounds

- Yesterday night something happened in Monaco that we never expected, Lewis Hamilton himself took his awesome one-off Pagani Zonda 760 LH out for a drive to the harbor to meet Samuel L. Jackson and others on a yacht. The 760 LH is specifically designed and created for the 7-time World Champion F1 driver. The car basically is a personalized 760 RS featuring a 7.3 liter AMG V12 producing 760HP and a manual transmission. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.6 seconds and tops out at 350 km/h (217 mph). We were lucky also enough to see Lewis walking to the car, stepping in it and eventually driving away through the famous F1 tunnel ! In this video you can see Lewis Hamilton himself and the car making some lovely V12 noises !

Definitely, I was also about to say this.. I think he realises most of these in the tunnel/streets are not normal paparazzi per say, but supercar spotters or fans who share the same passion for cars he does... Its nice he gives it a little rev for the cameras 🙏🏽

Might be because last year he committed to only driving electric vehicles as his own personal contribution to recognising and somewhat offsetting the massive CO2 emissions associated with F1 🤷🏼♂️
I’m disappointed but not overly surprised that he’s showing himself to be something of a hypocrite here. After all if he really meant that commitment he would have divested all of his internal combustion vehicles, right? Why continue to own them if you have no intention of using them?
@@davidburke2132 Except I mean he didn’t really, I remember the interview he was talking about where he can when travelling to and from F1 races (which is most of his car journeys) he gets Mercedes to provide him with their EQC range where they can, which usually they do. Other than this he hardly ever drives, even in Monaco he’s driven around in his Smart car for years. The one time he drives his iconic car for literally 1mile people act like he burned down the Amazon. The man literally spent millions offsettting his F1 emissions since 2007 & donate loads of environmental causes....more than most will ever do. Also almost all his cars he never drives but are investments if anything, no reason you can’t collect cars as a hobby & be pro environmental. But this logic no one in the world would ever do any good cause keyboard warriors brand everything as “hypocritical”....such people themselves literally couldn’t care less about the environment usually anyway

Look, I actually have no problem with him having an occasional bit of fun in a non-electric car. He’s earned his success. I just think he should have been more careful as to what he actually put on record. He said something he had no need to say and which if he didn’t really mean it in its literal interpretation was always going to come back to bite him sooner or later. He can’t put himself forward as a role model for things like climate action like he does and then say one thing and be caught out doing another. He could have been a perfectly good advocate for climate action without making that statement which then turned out to be not true. Sorry to say, his statement and then his subsequent actions fit the definition of hypocrisy.

Since then, I have offset my carbon footprint from my Formula 1 career dating back to 2007, I have reduced travel where possible, I have gone plant-based and outside of the track, I try to use electric cars wherever possible.”
How was this use of his Zonda consistent with his commitment to “try to use electric cars wherever possible”? Answer: it really wasn’t.

@@ST1NG_Auto77 the Vulcan has that F1 sound but this sound is distinct man, kind of reminds me of a Murci kind of but how Pagani engineered the exhaust for the Zonda it’s just on a whole different level. Though I do love the LFA and CGT and I love the SHELBY GT350R the Zonda is the best sounding car just by how distinct that exhaust note is. And no video game can ever get the sound right, god I need to hear one in person

I don’t think he promised to never touch any of his cars ever again in that statement.. just said that he generally drives his eqc... which to me is genuinely believable. when you drive f1 cars for a living any street car will be boring, the zonda is nothing more than an impractical, unreliable, albeit amazing sounding car. If you’re just going point a to b why would you want to drive that more than occasionally?

I dont really care to verify this, but I do recall he did promise to only drive EVs in an interview with Reuters last year.. but could be wrong, can't say I'm that bothered to find the interview to see.. we all know he's a bit of a hypocrite anyways, speaking out against F1 over sustainability yet he has a personal carbon footprint to rival a small town lol
The only problem with driving these in Monaco, is that you can barely rev them or you get a fat off fine. It's a good way to keep people in line, I'll give them that.

If people in Monaco wanted to have a spirited drive, they would. There are crazy mountain roads about 30 minutes above the city, but most people in Monaco only want to show off their 50k Bentleys with 80k miles to people who couln't care less
