Thank you sir… I am trying to edit the video for the grill I’ve done… it’s a long process as I’m just an amateur lol. Having fun with it though. Have a great week 🙌
So it seems like 1 US quart would cover both front and rear. I just did the front today and I have about 1/2 quart left. The rear should take no more than a half quart I’m guessing? Excellent video by the way.
Thank you… That’s right yes. I ended up using a tiny bit more as a had a fair bit left in the pump. If I’d have used a different pump, like a syringe pump, not a full in-out pump system I could have injected it all and there would only be the left over in the short tube.
Hi, I ended up just using a spanner as the space was too small. It can be done with a slim socket, but you’ll also need a slim ratchet… I got the socket thinking that’ll be enough.. then wasn’t spending extra on a wrench too. So I took it off with a spanner and for the torque, I’d just went off the feeling of when I torqued the bottom plug with my torque wrench, remembered how much it felt. So after I’d filled it up, I just made it as tight as what the bottom felt.
Yep, that's right. Last thing you want to do is drain the oil from the diff and find you can't crack the fill plug. Because then is a tow truck to a deal. Or get a mobile mechanic round that can get it off.
@@walkergriggs3965 it’s a pain, I used a spanner in the end.. the short socket wouldn’t fit without a slim wrench too… and I wasn’t buying one of those just for this one bolt.
Greetings from 🇨🇦! Great video. I’m doing the rear diff & transfer case, plus the transmission pan filter & fluid this weekend 👍🏻
Greetings…. I’m yet to do the transmission fluid change. It’s on the cards. Let me know how you go 💪
You guys are the Dream Team!
Thanks
Sweet graphite trim pieces. Where did you order those from?
@@billfredericks5822 thanks mate… I wrapped them.
Very cool CX9 sir! Wish we had the 9 in Japan I like the front end compared to my cx8. Subscribed will be looking forward for more videos!

Great video. What was your mileage when you performed this service? Thanks

Differential fluid change is only for AWD models, correct?
@@hungrypersian yes.
Hey mate...can you post a link to the accessories that you put on your 9? Like the rear spoiler and the front lip? Thx
Hey mate... sure, I have been meaning to do that. You have just remined me, thanks.
Ok, all the links posted on the Modding video I did. th-cam.com/video/JIGWYC2AyAY/w-d-xo.html
I need to do this on a 2017. My biggest obstacle is the rear fill plug. I didn't see how you reached it, nor what you used to take it off

Hi mate do we also have to change the transmission fluid because they say its lifetime
@@prabhsingh3689 yes mate.. I would recommend changing the ATF too 👍
Like he said...crack the fill plug first! ..if you can't break it, lose then you're done... don't drain it.. take it to dealer

I can't see how to reach the top rear without dropping the exhaust
