    Thanks for this video but would have been better to incorporate some close up shots of the cables being passed through areas such as the firewall grommet or channel for the terminal at the top. It’s difficult to get a good visual of a lot of these steps from a distance against a black car interior/weatherstripping. Anyway, just finished my install on the Trailrax and very happy with the look and output.

      Thanks for the feedback! Totally can understand that and will pass this up the chain for both future videos and a re-shoot of this one!

      So true, I can't find the spot he ran the wires on the roof, or the screws he was talking about, esp with how dark the video is.

    Video is useful but like another person aaid we really need a video showing how to get the bundle through the firewall into the passenger footwell. I just cant digure it out and i am stuck. It doesnt seem like anyone else has any details on that. Can you help?

    • @hereticstudio

      Hi Bob! there is a rubber grommet that sits just behind the washer fluid reservoir. The video does not show it, and I will send this up the chain to have it adjusted!
      It may be helpful to loosen the bolts on the reservoir which will allow you better access.

      It is challenging getting the wire through the grommet. I had to unscrew the coolant to get at the grommet and then poke a hole in the nipple, stick a chopstick through it to open up the whole a little and then run the zip tie through, attach the wire to the end of the zip tie, lube it up with a little dish soap and then push it through the grommet. This is definitely the hardest part of the install.

    Great video, I've watched 20 times and took me 5 hours to get everything installed and run. Thank you! At 7:00 you say there is a chanel for the lightbar wire with 2 screws... I can't find that! Could my Bronco be different? "22 Badlands 4 door with Trailrax and lightbar cut out.

    Great video, thank you. Why not install the light bar so the cord just runs down the window on the other side like I've seen others do. Tucking it into the chanel on drivers side windshield. Also I didn't catch how to wire this to the Aux switches.....

    • @hereticstudio

      Actually that is totally possible as well. At the time, we were showing this as a route to run the wiring since that is where the OEM wiring runs. Since the OEM is not sufficient, we ran ours through the same path, but there isnt any reason why you couldnt go thought the driver side pillar. Thanks!

      Thank you, I just realized my cable is too thick to fit in the narrow chanel... Damn it.
      Also do you have to take the Trailrax crossbar off to get those cariage bolts in?

    • @hereticstudio

      @@larrycole1991 yes, you just need to remove the screws and it can usually move up enough to slide the carriage bolts in and then you can refasten the crossbar again.

    The wire harness also comes with a relay that doesn’t seem to have a natural mounting location. What did you do with it?

      Wondering this halfway through the install.

    • @hereticstudio

      Depending on the vehicle, we usually will secure it to existing cables etc with zip ties as often there isnt a great screw or location to hard mount it.

    Where and how are you passing it through the firewall? Are you making a new hole in the giant rubber grommet under the expansion tank?

    • @hereticstudio

      Yea, we go right through that grommet.

    Can I wire this into the existing electrical system? I'd much rather power thr lights up using one of the pre-wired Aux switches. Thanks.

    • @hereticstudio

      You certainly are able to, but what we have found after some time is that there has been some issues using the OEM wiring. There have been instances where the OEM wiring has caused issues. Once we became aware of these issues, we started to include a full wiring harness so that these issue can be avoided.
      You are still able to use to the OEM upfitter switch, we just recommend allowing the power to the lightbar run through our harness rather than the OEM wiring.

      I did this and the lights do not work using the pre-wired wires. If you follow this video the Aux switch will still control the light. But you are skipping the pre-wired stuff that is located above the passenger visor and also behind the glove box.

    How would you compare and contrast these instructions with whats online on your website

    • @hereticstudio

      Actually those need to be updated! They had the old way we recommended of doing the wiring, but after some issues with the OEM wiring, we now recommend running our included wiring harness all the way.
