      You could make a capo with a pencil and rubber band. There are videos that show how to do it, but it's pretty obvious.

      Hi marty, thanks so much for all your lessons. I've been strumming chords for ages and was getting bored and frustrated that unless I had another instrument or someone singing, the songs never sounded any good on their own. I love all your little tricks - walk ups on the bass strings or playing a few notes of the melody here and there really adds to the song and makes me sound good! Well better lol! You are one heck of a teacher sir. For someone who always prefers videos with visual tabs while playing along with the instructor, your video was so easy to follow. Maybe that's also because of the weird sounds that you made, the kind you would hear in a dance class but it helped with focus and concentration, so well that i learned the chord sequence in less than a day. May you continue to persevere and bless others with your knowledge

    I just wanted to say “thank you” for doing so much helping to teach me a better way to play guitar. In 2020, I set to actually learn more than 50 songs which I had for years, learned from college and beyond, incorrectly, as well as try to learn more about scales, classical guitar, flamenco, strumming patterns, and better movement to bar chords and even a few jazz chords. I’ve spent 100s of hours with your lessons and others. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and all the very best in 2021! Sincerely, TOMA of WhistleStop, Midlothian, VA on Reverbnation.

    Great tutorial but could you teach us the places where u alter the strumming pattern. You teach us D UD UD UD DD, which is the pattern for the majority of the song, but you added flourishes on a couple chords and the strumming pattern for the chorus sounds almost completely different than what you teach us. Your tutorials are amazing and they have helped me improve greatly but its a little frustrating when you play and it sounds like what i want to sound like, but you did not teach us everything you did.

So, as i practice the chord transitions and have started adding the strum pattern, I found myself listening to you play it and wonder if you were picking a note at the start or something. Is the point that you have to follow your rhythm a bit and not be overly strict/robotic?

    • @NFamousDj
      @NFamousDj 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Looking at it, the strum pattern is the same but he focuses on certain notes.. In the beginning strum he strums E, then A and low e while still holding the the A chord.. anyways listen to his humming you can figure out which notes he focuses on in the beginning ..

    • @MrGetItDone7
      @MrGetItDone7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Suuulan id say focus on playing as slow as you need to switch correctly. when you switch from D to F Major & F Major to C you can take as much time as you need, what's important is accuracy not speed. play the chords string by string to hear them ring out and make sure they're good. you can also try doing the F chord without the barre, if you google 'f chord guitar' you'll see a couple different ways of doing it. eventually the barre version becomes easy! you got this
