It all depended on where they were at, you'll see some places had amazing cuts and dye jobs whereas some...not so much. It was all dependent on who the stylists in the area were and if one dropped out/couldn't do it that day jay just had to find someone else. Jay and Miss Jay would feel really bad for a lot of those girls 😭
I always got the feeling Tyra was just determined to cut EVERYONE'S long hair, yet you never, ever saw Tyra with a Mia Farrow cut herself.
She rocked a pixie a few years ago, it wasn't exactly the "mia farrow" pixie because that prob wouldn't suit her, but Tyra's worn like every hairstyle at some point (for better or worse lol)

Very few of the models got a Mia Farrow cut, either (unfortunately); they mostly ended up more in the soccer-mom range.

What's so funny is that Tyra was also too sexy at the beginning of her career. And yet she never got a pixie cut or shaved her hair off. Because she knew that short hair isn't versatile for models, length is important. And if a short hair cut is required for runway, they'd use wigs, no one would actually cut model's real hair
Although there have been some pretty successful models with pixie cuts, they mostly succeed at high fashion, and the whole Top model concept created by Tyra was someone who could do both: high fashion and commercial modeling.
Poor Brenda she should've just go to an agency and audition instead of going to ANTM to get sabotaged

People need to remember that MANY people find their identity and confidence in their hair. Its actually very common, so seeing people mocking those who cry when their entire identity and safety net is changed right up really annoys me. It's okay to grieve the same hairstyle for a decade. Its okay to be upset that your hair has been cut.

I mean, it all depends on where you go. Where I go, she doesn't charge a whole lot for anything. I can get a 10 dollar haircut on certain days. Idk the price on a typical day. But she only charges about 60-80 dollars for a bleach job and cut. Which is very good for hair salons. My hair is on the shorter side, but even then it's still cheap compared to what other places would charge

Looking back, I’m surprised Kayla didn’t get crap for hating her hair cut. Seems like every time a girl feels anything other then loving/owning her haircut. You could hate it and still work it. Seems like anytime someone hated it, they set them up by asking their feelings and then being like “you need to suck it up.” Why’d you ask then if you’re just going to shut down their honest feelings?
Tyra makes mostly awful, unflattering choices, and it doesn’t seem like the hair stylists have a high skill level.

And the other girls watched just digusted... I don't see what the big deal is. I thought Ren was so chill and had an amazing look. Alexandra watched and said "I wonder what, like, the downstairs is gonna be like, you know, if she doesn't shave her armpits." 🤦♀️
