You must of got a good one. My hardware is so cheap that one bracket is already stripped out from the factory. Returning it and just going to free ball for the time being haha
For me, the view is perfect. I look over it by about two inches. I’m 6’3. My wife is 5’5 and she looks through the top. But if she stretches her back upward, she can see over the top. I hope that helps
Hey brother you put the fork clamp brackets on backwards. I have the same one and there’s a pic in the instructions indicating correct direction. That’s prolly why your headlight fitment is off. They also state that it could damage your tank that way. I’d include a pic of the instructions to show but not sure how to do that on these comments
Thanks, I appreciate the comment. I’ll give it a look this weekend. Tank clearance is definitely tight. But there is some adjustment in the mounting points on those clamps.
I checked out those brackets, and they’re on correctly. If I switch them, they’ll stick out farther forward by a solid 2”. I did make some adjustments though, and I think it’s better aligned now.
I installed the exact fairing on my 23 softail standard lastnight. The instructions do show the bracket install opposite from the way you did it. That being said, the headlight extension block is to narrow for the headlight bracket so Iinstalled the fairing without the extension block. Now my headlight is way back in the fairing. I had a thought that if I reversed the brackets I wouldn't need the light extension block. Your video proved that thought as correct. As far as the fairing being too close to the tank, as long as it can be adjusted to not hit the tank, I don't see a problem. Now i just have to decide if I'm going to reverse my brackets, order the correct light extension block, or just get some bushings for the extension block I have.
@@stephendominguez448 something is definitely off about those instructions. But flipping the headlight bracket really put the headlight in a good spot for me. All I did was remove that guide pin. Thanks for watching! Good luck getting it all finished up
Still no issues. I did take it off for a few weeks this summer when it was really hot, but I put it back on as soon as it cooled off. I won’t do that again. Heat or not, it’s nice to have the protection
Sorry man, I need to figure out notifications. I just happened across your comment. It says it’s unavailable right now, but you should be able to look in their store. Maybe they just updated something. www.amazon.com/dp/B0BV8CNV1C?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I bought 15 inches and it's too tall because I'm looking through the glass. The glass distorts the image. I can't drive like this. I'm 166 cm tall. Is it not too tall for you?
Thanks for the comment. The screen is perfect for me, I look just over it. I am 6’2, or roughly 188 cm tall. I can see how looking through the glass would be an issue though. I have never owned a windscreen that I looked through.
Honestly I regret having spent the $$$ on the Memphis shade. The windshield doesn’t flush with the fairing and it creates a very annoying whistle. The bottom of the fairing is not finished like the Amazon but instead it has a really cheap plastic. I like to support American companies too but in this case it was not worth it. I am pissed. I may just buy the amazon and do a video comparison

Damn, that sucks. It’s hard to avoid nowadays.
I have a Memphis shades 15 inch on my 23 street bob I’m 5’10 love it no buffeting even at 85 ~90 mph best investment ever
That’s great news! Glad to hear it
that looks bad ass I love it I'm buying it!
I just got the same one and the quick release locks won’t snap and lock it in place.
Are you talking about the bracket that’s mounted to the fairing, hooking into the clamps that are mounted to the forks?
Mine either . They keep popping out without any force
@@Socaloverlander i had to wiggle mine a bit to get them to lock in place, but once they did they stayed
how is the view for the windscreen? i was thinking of getting clear but i like the tinted look.

How is the fairing holding up to this day?

will this one work on a 2023 softail standard i believe there the same
Yes, it will work on the standard.
@@Fever_Rides i got mine today and it didnt come with the quick disconnect just the regular but ill keep it anyway
@@davidsprague1601that stinks, the quick release was a nice option. But it might be sturdier without it
@@Fever_Rides i thought i ordered it with the quick disconnect but i dont really plan on taking it off anyway it was a pain to get lined up tho
Do you have a link to this fairing?
I sure do. Thanks!

How is the wind buffeting with this?
I don’t get any buffeting below 70. Above 70 though, I start to get some. It doesn’t bother me for the first hour.
did it come with the clamps?
Yes, the clamps came with whole kit
What is it? Saddlebags
Yes, Saddlebags
can you link fairing?

@@Fever_Rides thanks
Mine didn’t come with the quick detach hardware 👎
That’s weird, sorry to hear that. The quick release is a nice feature
@@Fever_Rides for sure, I wonder if I just have to buy it from Memphis shades

I appreciate the comment. I had a Memphis Shades on an LRS, and knowing what I know now, I’m happy with the Krator.
