Kind of like when Mike and Edd split. It was harder on us as fans, than them I think. Mike still has his show, and Edd has his successful TH-cam channel, so I still get to enjoy both of them. The Fast and Loud show worked well partly because of the interaction (and opposing views) between Aaron and Richard. Aaron with all his talents and capabilities was like the high maintenance good looking expensive wife, and Richard was the penny pinching difficult husband. I hope they both make their ways back to the screen soon. I miss them. And it would be awesome to see Christie back also, and healthy!
Like someone said , when the shop was small, it was a partnership. As soon as the shop grew he was just another face and no room for creativity with your schedule scrunched. But from what I understand it was lack of time personal/professional and lack of vision at gas monkey. When you have no room to grow and your being hampered, I mean, why stay.
How anyone with an ounce of self esteem could work for or with Rawlings is beyond me. When they were still on the old show, there needed to be a really exciting build for me to sit through an entire show. I get it that someone needs to be boss but Rawlings ego was the Elephant in the room every time.
They "worked" (what made the show fun) great together. In my opinion, Aaron was the main attraction by far. I knew when Aaron announced that he was leaving, it became obvious Gas Monkey was done however, the show lasted longer than I originally thought. On the other hand, Aaron's attempt sucked when he got his own show. In short, they needed each other to be successful. Oh well.
Aaron struck me as humble, really bright and a incredibly skilled metal fabricator/mechanic. I thind he'd be a good boss, none of the ego bs. Other comments confirm. Thanks keep up the good work.
Aaron leaving was the real end to Gas Monkey. They were really good together. Hopefully, they will get a chance at something different down the road... as partners.

Yeeeess, I agree - no ARTIST can create under pressure. Richard is a SHOWSTAR (not negative!). For him it's a "One - Man - Show". Too little space for both.
Aaron is the one that made the show Richard is the one who basically runs his big mouth but also finances the show so together "THEY BOTH TOGETHER MAKE THE SHOW"🍺🍺🍺👍👍👍
Richard making millions and becoming a celebrity entrepreneur with multi businesses it was time Aaron made him self famous and made millions! Can't wait to see him maybe open up his own garage building awesome cool builds 🤔🙏
Richard Rawlings admitted to the fact that GMG was a garage fabricated for TV.... Aaron was the mechanic and Richard was the money man... They approached Discovery with the porch for the show...
I think it was quite simple and it happens all of the time. The Band simply broke up. The lead guitarist finally needed a break from the lead singer. One was the artist, the other was the performer/salesman. Doesn't mean they hate each other, they just needed to do their own thing.
Not one thing. Good for Aaron.. The business between he and Richard did not come to terms so he left. That is life and that is business from time to time.
Aaron created a lot of cool cars. Talented guy. I think he did all he could do creatively but ultimately what stopped his career is he didn't create a car that could fly. A flying car would have secured his place in history right along Henry Ford and Louis Chevrolet.
Good for Aaron, Gas Monkey was alright, but not exciting enough to last much longer. It became very repetitious, and I think Aaron was a bigger Chief than Richard, and everyone knows you can't have two chiefs and no Indians. I think Aaron saw that, and had the dough to do what he made from Gas Monkey to do what he wanted. He's a well spoken and experienced mechanic, and knew that you have to keep a show exciting to keep it on the air. I think he made the right move, and threw his eggs in more than one basket like a good entrepreneur would do.
Personally Aaron drove me nuts with always pushing things to far. Majority of the time simple is better. Yes he is a good fabricator and mechanic but he brought a lot of the stress on himself.
The nail in the coffin for Aaron was at SEMA when Richard acting like a drunk a-hole at the Ford booth. It embarrassed Aaron and he knew at that point it wasn’t the direction he wanted to go with his career.

We had Fast & Loud here in the UK and always thought that Aaron was the 'go to' guy if you wanted to get the job done right. His boss, the appropriately named Dick Rawlings would rarely get his hands dirty and seemed to want to create friction amongst his crew. He also loved the limelight when the cameras were on him and, whether he knew it or not, was intentionally cruel to people he dealt with like the lovely Chinese lady who he constantly demeaned and cheated out of cash when she did a wonderful job on the car interiors. I wish Aaron all the luck in the world with his new ventures!
I just don’t understand why he doesn’t do what he does best and that’s make hot rods fix cars etc. he is an amazing extremely talented mechanic and great in front of the camera forget about gas monkey fast and loud just do you thing Aaron get back on TV we need great mechanics like you on TV I’m disabled I can’t fix a car or drive a car but I love watching
I watched a few minutes of Aarons show and it didn't appeal to my liking so I tried other things he did and I didn't like them, Aaron is one of those people who can seem unfriendly alot on the show.
I would suggest in a TV show let one or two work on building the car / cars at the entire year. Let the detail workings of the car and see how its done. I think it would a lot more interesting then a quick build.
It’s like getting 18$ a hour to weld Then seeing your boss is charging the customer 120$ a hour for the welding to the customer Many (small town business bosses do this) The boss will talk about the (big box stores being the devil but will do exactly what the big box stores do to their workers) Scruples morals and ethics are few and far between these days 🤷🏻♂️
@joel....my friend, you can't get pissed off at what customers are charged versus what you get paid. I am self employed myself. There's a formula for all businesses to function/survive.... period! If you want a job we have to mark everything up to pay for you, AND THE MULTIPLE ITEMS OF OVERHEAD!!!!! it's called "running a business" .....and my response to guys like yourself is always the following......if ya don't like it, and ya think it's easy, go start your own gig
This is when employers need to realize you just didn’t pay enough. Your brand is only As good as your employees. No matter how great you think you are the brand is only as good as the people you employee. Pay up, you will make your profits. As a business owner i pay my employees what I would want to be paid and still make a profit. Crazy how it works when you are not so greedy. You don’t need a fancy college accountant to run your shop just use common sense you know who is valuable and who’s expendable. If you don’t your in the wrong business
If only there were more owners like you! I have always agreed with that line of thinking because you will keep your crew, they'll be loyal and happy and without turn over and keeping good employees you'll see bigger profit longer! Greed kills!
The deadlines were unreal. So if the project was not done by the deadline we are all supposed to believe the world comes to an end, The sun stops shining and the company goes belly up. Give me a break. Anyone would get tired of the drama after a while.
I thought I would miss Aaron more that I did, F&L continued moving forward & continued the path it had set from the beginning & to me remained as entertaining as ever
by the second or third episode of fast n loud , and American chopper I thought the same thing .. " This guy is going to be something really cool once he gets rid of the other guy whos holding him back ".
Aron has got a brilliant mind and is so creative he just wants to build cars and trucks his way I know who I would choose to build a car or truck for me aron kauffman all the way it's not how much it will cost its about the passion and skill that goes in to it.

Just like Tom and Jordan " was supposed to be fired from fast and loud but they got their own show and Richard Rawlings was the main producer and money man.
Aaron could create anything. If there wasn't a necessary part, he could fabricate it. What a mechanic.
If it's not a necessary part, you don't need it.
Hes more of an engineer. To call him just a mechanic is disrespectful.
I watched the show from the beginning and when Aaron would get to talking and start describing his vision of what was in his head for the vehicles and the builds a lot of times everything just started going over top of my head and I'm sure other people's too because he saw things in a totally different way than other people did I sure wish my mind worked that way
Didn't care about the video at all, we have heard it all before. I must admit, that i ONLY pressed play, so i could see if Aron really looked like the picture, he showed.
puttin up with richard rawlings is enough to make anybody want to get the hell out
Passion driven, he does what he feels. He lives life first and foremost. The best way to be when you have talent. If they don’t support cut them short. YOLO
Can't argue with that! That may be the 'short' of it....
Good for you Aron, working @ your own pace, takes a lot of discipline, I certainly don't like to be rushed, taking more time, gives the creative juices more avenues. Good Luck!
When Russel appeared I disappeared.
Aaron wanted to be his own boss. Can’t blame him for that.
Aaron is the real deal-he walks the walk as far as I know he’s what I call a man’s man.I very much appreciate his dedication to his craft. It’s tuff being a perfectionist…
Stop calling Richard a mechanic.
Thats right Hes the One That Paid them Well .With/Out Him .NO JOBS .U THINK
@@peterlee6745 no, Discovery Channel is the only reason they got payed. Lil dick rawlings just wants to put on a show. "We gotta open this restaurant or we're gonna lose the shop!"
Is the restaurant still open??
Yea how disrespectful to call such a successful entrepreneur a mechanic
I’ve never even seen him move a wrench!
I wouldn't say he left at the shows peak. He left when main stream viewers finally caught on that if you ignored R.R. it was a pretty good show. Quality wise the show sucked after Aaron left.
Always amazes me how some folks are just hardwired to make make bad decisions even when an obvious great option is sitting right in front of them. I don’t know if it’s sabotage due to self-loathing or simple stupidity, maybe both, but it’s like they are determined to make their lives unnecessarily difficult
Aaron is an artist and I believe he was just being held back. Now he has so much freedom to build and do what he wants.
Oh well.
Richard from what I have seen is a hard guy to work for so that being said. Nothing would shock me if there was more to it.
Did you watch the JRE episode with Richard as a guest?
I watched a few minutes of it on youtube and felt my time would be better spent elsewhere.
Let’s face it….. Rawlings is a tool
love this dude, I was happy to hear him and richard still buds, and I also feel he deserved to have his own thing!
He needed a CHANGE and be his own boss he is so better then working with Richard .
Aaron struck me as humble, really bright and a incredibly skilled metal fabricator/mechanic. I thind he'd be a good boss, none of the ego bs. Other comments confirm. Thanks keep up the good work.
Aaron was a visionary, I can see it. He wanted to present his best work and he had little time. Man's a wizard 🧙♂️🤙💯
True he has the brains but not the showmanship; as of yet. It takes both in the TV business....
Aaron leaving was the real end to Gas Monkey. They were really good together. Hopefully, they will get a chance at something different down the road... as partners.
Richard threatened to fire Aron if he didn’t do what Richard wanted him to do one time. I think that’s what did it.
can you be any vaguer?
It's not vague if you've seen the show...
@@scotthart2 so, you don't know what Richard wanted him to do that one time?
because you come off as if you know but are not saying. why even repeat it then,
Hence the word "Vague."
@@scotthart2 also Aaron had too much talent to take bs from Richard. That’s my feeling.
Absolutely nothing wrong with Aaron wanting to evolve and go his own way. Richard can always find another master mechanic to aid in his vision. I wish them both much success and happiness and fulfillment in their creative endeavors.
Yeeeess, I agree - no ARTIST can create under pressure. Richard is a SHOWSTAR (not negative!). For him it's a "One - Man - Show". Too little space for both.
Arron was the only reason to watch Fast and Loud, when he left, I left
Agreed
Aaron is the one that made the show Richard is the one who basically runs his big mouth but also finances the show so together "THEY BOTH TOGETHER MAKE THE SHOW"🍺🍺🍺👍👍👍
Right On!! Me too.
I’ve met him and he’s a really nice guy, he made a video for my dad when I did some work for his house
All I know is Aaron done one hell of a job on DDE’s Ferrari
Richard making millions and becoming a celebrity entrepreneur with multi businesses it was time Aaron made him self famous and made millions! Can't wait to see him maybe open up his own garage building awesome cool builds 🤔🙏
He needs to grow for himself in which he never felt while he was under the wing of fast n loud...He deserves much better of recognition.
BABY ASS
Richard Rawlings admitted to the fact that GMG was a garage fabricated for TV.... Aaron was the mechanic and Richard was the money man... They approached Discovery with the porch for the show...
It was cool when they did the Pikes Peak Hill climb together.
I think it was quite simple and it happens all of the time. The Band simply broke up. The lead guitarist finally needed a break from the lead singer. One was the artist, the other was the performer/salesman. Doesn't mean they hate each other, they just needed to do their own thing.
Obviously the man wanted to do his own thing on his own terms what's so wrong about that?
Not one thing. Good for Aaron.. The business between he and Richard did not come to terms so he left. That is life and that is business from time to time.
Aaron created a lot of cool cars. Talented guy. I think he did all he could do creatively but ultimately what stopped his career is he didn't create a car that could fly. A flying car would have secured his place in history right along Henry Ford and Louis Chevrolet.
True dat
Glad to see aron favoring Ford's....his former boss favored Chevy... that is until dodge paid him some money and suddenly he was a mopar fan..
Richard also wanted to paint the all of the cars and trucks puke green.
He knew his ability, and what he could achieve in his own right I’ll give him props for taking that chance!!
Aaron was working his ass off all those years, For two guy's starting a business together one got the big head and other one did all the work.
Mmmm I don't know... Richard seemed pretty humbled when Aaron told him of his decision.
The nail in the coffin for Aaron was at SEMA when Richard acting like a drunk a-hole at the Ford booth. It embarrassed Aaron and he knew at that point it wasn’t the direction he wanted to go with his career.
This is a simple answer: "I prefer to be owner of a coin instead of slave of a fortune". He preferred to live his life! Aaron your are the best man, Brazilian likes!!!
It was a great show. Love the channel btw. I’m a new subscriber!!!!
Give him the credit where it's due
I just don’t understand why he doesn’t do what he does best and that’s make hot rods fix cars etc. he is an amazing extremely talented mechanic and great in front of the camera forget about gas monkey fast and loud just do you thing Aaron get back on TV we need great mechanics like you on TV I’m disabled I can’t fix a car or drive a car but I love watching
Richard is a boss.
End of story. It’s how it works.
Yes for better or for worse....
psytrance yeeeessssss ....it makes me happy to know others are even aware of this enchanting type of music....keep it plur brother
I watched a few minutes of Aarons show and it didn't appeal to my liking so I tried other things he did and I didn't like them, Aaron is one of those people who can seem unfriendly alot on the show.
Like Jesse James, he doesn't have patience for workers that don't get the job done or make excuses.
Says someone who seems unfriendly.
Quit watching Gas Monkey Garage when he left. I’ll watch Aaron’s program again when I can find it. Thanks for the heads up!
Keep goin Arron Richard was holdin you back
I kinda disagree, Aaron left when he felt he was ready to leave. Richard gave his blessings. They had a good thing going...
I would suggest in a TV show let one or two work on building the car / cars at the entire year. Let the detail workings of the car and see how its done. I think it would a lot more interesting then a quick build.
It’s like getting 18$ a hour to weld
Then seeing your boss is charging the customer 120$ a hour for the welding to the customer
Many (small town business bosses do this)
The boss will talk about the (big box stores being the devil but will do exactly what the big box stores do to their workers)
Scruples morals and ethics are few and far between these days 🤷🏻♂️
Why did U LET THE BEST MECHCIAN. GO AWAWAY ??? HE IS THE BEST SMARTEST EVER!!!
As a fan of the show from the beginning. I would say he left for the reason he stated in his official letter to the fans.
is arclight even still open?havent heard anything from that shop in a while.
I drove past the Grand prairie location a couple days ago and there was a for lease sign out front
by the second or third episode of fast n loud , and American chopper I thought the same thing ..
Um, lets get this straight... @4:52 AK was never a mentor under RR. @5:16 RR is NOT, repeat, NOT a mechanic. He is a car salesman. AK was the Shop Manager on duty at the time that Tom Smith and Jordan Butler were fired. But I digress, go to GM and enjoy being welcomed and than go to Arch lite and see how that goes.
He got tired of being slave driven...
It's a sad day when the talents of a person like Aron Kaufman is not being aired. One day maybe he will be back Happy trail Aron😂😂😂
Who really cares, couldn't stand the guy myself, never watched any of the new stuff, didn't really like Richard Rawlings, he just loved himself to much, wish they would take his reruns off.
Richard has made a few mistakes in life and one of them was allowing Aaron to leave Gas Monkey. Good luck to them both in their future projects.
Allowing him? Lol
Glad to see he's doing well
His shows don't last long on TV. It's also funny he has done auto rebuild style shows just like Richard, just different style vehicles.
Aaron Koffman. The thinking man’s Rick. (Orange county choppers) 😂
Bro lmao at these thumbnails. You make great content
The thumbnail for this would have you think dude aged 40 years.
