Unfortunately I have had throat cancer and can’t swim anymore, so I doubt if I will go to Sardinia but am very pleased that you have and shared your experience with me. I’m currently in my motorhome touring the UK from my base in France.
Just catching up on your travels as returning from Italy to Dublin. Great video on Sardinia and now on the list to visit. Last trip in our tent this year as hoping to start our camper travels next year so taking all your suggestions with great advice. Stayed in Lago Di Orta and passed through Varallo and took your suggestions on Ghent. Now in Ypres. B&J.
Hey guys, glad to heat you've had a good trip! It's probably a bit warmer in Ypres than where we are 😁 In 2018 we had a brief overnight stop in Orta San Giulio - always wanted to go back there!
Thank you for sharing your trip around Sardinia. We are going to Italy in autumn and I have previously followed you around Puglia. I am just wondering about how you connect to the internet. We have previously bought a sim card on arrival, but it was a bit expensive. I would appreciate your opinion. Have a great trip to Denmark.
Hi Patricia! Internet is an ongoing challenge for us. As we tend to travel slow, we tend to get local prepaid sim cards (YOIGO in Spain, MEO in Portugal, FREE in France, etc). In some countries (Italy, Germany) it's a bit more difficult. For us, Italy is our 'home' country and we have lots of data when there. We also always use our Italian sims for personal connectivity when outside of Italy but get a local sim for our van wifi - in Denmark we will get the Lycamobile sim as it's the easiest to manage. If you don't use a lot of data then your home sims roaming quota might be enough.
I'm so glad that you enjoyed Sardinia, its on my bucket list thanks to you guys. I've just taken a look at your website. Wow, how do you guys get the time. Its amazing, so well laid out and informative. Millie still looks amazing, stay safe and looking forward to the next video.
Thanks Ronan! People ask us all the time 'don't you guys get bored? You know, with being on 'vacation' all the time?' 🤣 Well, we're definitely NOT bored. The amount of time that have gone into that website is beyond incalculable. But I guess we just like to suffer 😁
I watched your whole trip and I thought you made a good job of keeping up a good reputation in respect of Campervan values, so well done. Conversely, the ridiculous local attitude to rubbish is infuriating. Petty arguments over places to dispose of rubbish that is effectively sold along with goods in the local shops is so short sighted. No doubt, someone in charge is on the wrong side of right here and needs to be removed and a new person with eyes to see the obvious given a chance to change the attitude of the council. Still, you managed to find and reveal some brilliant places to stop overnight, so well done you, and thank you for putting in the effort to produce some great quality video. Cheers 👋🇬🇧🇪🇺🇺🇦
Thanks for that 👍A great irony is the sheer volume of packaging you find in Italian supermarkets. To be fair, Italy is not unique in this regard. Another country where we often really struggle is Germany - especially in the small towns and rural areas. There is virtually no publicly accessible recycling. But we try our best to be responsible and respect the regions we visit.
hello, at home we really like you Sardinia a destination for our future also by motorhome 🙏 Thanks for the tips to take into account in Italian lands We await the next video from Danish lands!!! kisses
We really enjoyed your trip through Sardinia. Could you give me some detail about your bike carrier please? We have two roadrunners and find it difficult to find either an easy to use hitch or aframe mounted rack for them. Does it take long to attach, unattach and set up the bikes?
Hi David! We have a Fiamma 4 bicycle rack with 4 mounting points on the back of the van. We modified the 4 racks into 2 to fit the longer wheelbase of the cargo bike. It is tricky to find an arrangement of the bikes that is nice and secure but it works for us. It takes about 10 min to remove or pack back!
Thank you so much for this video, next year it wil be me first time in Itatly and Sardiniê bij camper, and I am travelling alone. Your videos makes me want to go there already now. Do you know the shortest trip by ferry? I do not want to be long time on a boat. Probably somewhere form mainland Italy?
Thank you! As far as we know the shortest ferry route is Civitavecchia to Olbia. But we wanted to get further north into Italy and found a day ferry from Golfo Aranci to Livorno which was perfect as we prefer not to go overnight on ferries.
Thanks! We're still in Germany at the moment but hope to reach Denmark in the next week. No real fixed plan or route but we'll probably travel around Jylland (and Nørrejyske Ø) for most of July before moving on to Fyn and Sjælland.
@@WeWillNomad okay we leave Sweden on August 26 to go to Portugal. it would have been fun to see you on the road and maybe treat you to a cup of coffee and a Swedish fika. Your channel is our favorite channel and we get inspired by your travels.

It's the same in mainland Italy or even rural France where minor roads can be narrow and steep in places. It's a beautiful island and well worth a visit - and as long as you stick to the main roads you will be perfectly comfortable.

Ah that's a pity, sorry to hear about that. Hope you have a great time in the UK! We have not been there yet with our motorhome.

Dear friends, Thank you very much for the interesting series about Sardinia.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for following our trip! ❤️😎
We absolutely loved Sardinia!
❤️
As always, very interesting ... And another place for me to head to!
It's a never ending list isn't it! 😂🤩
In september the water it Is warmer but the days lights short. Isola Elba in front of Toscana it is beautiful too with the green water.
Grazie Marco! If we have the choice then colder water and longer days is probably better! Thanks for watching! 😊

Great lowdown. You'll be back 4sure😁
We hope so!
I wonder if Sicily would be good for you in the autumn?
For sure! We would love to be in Sicily one autumn! It's also the tailend of the windy season.
How do you finance your travels. Do you have savings or jobs
We have both of those.
Hi. Is a cat necessary to explore Sardinia or is there public transportation options like in Sicily? Thanks in advance.
Buses and trains connect major towns, but schedules can be infrequent. Renting a car is probably the best way to explore the island at your own pace.
@@WeWillNomad If the public transportation in Sardinia is as good as Sicily then I am satisfied. Ot sounds like it's similar to Sicily
Bingo 🎉
😎

Hi Kevin! What time of the year were you in Sicily? We have been there but not yet with the camper so it's still on our list. Thanks for watching! 😊
@@WeWillNomad Hi we were there July /August at the hottest time due to wife's holidays but still had a fantastic time
So the long and short of it is to probably avoid motorhoming in Sardinia , it’s stressful enough anyway with a big vehicle.
