Not really. Compare the open worlds and you have your first answer. There are a lot more. Another being past games had bigger less detailed worlds.

I found a glitch where you can swim out to the road then swing under the map, it's pretty fun and it's still not patched

They really should expand the map of this game. It deserves the extra work force and investment that would be needed. Plus I have a feeling any extra DLC besides "The City That Doesn't Sleep" can turn into a profit. I wish they do sth around Liberty Island and The Raft...

i kept on trying to web hang from the helicoptors for like 30 minutes like in the spiderman 2 ps2 game because i thought it would maybe have it as a nod to that but kinda dissapointed now.
You can just go across the Brooklyn bridge, but only touch the middle of the bridge(bike lane) and try to stay in the air for as long as possible(super ez)

This game makes you FEEL like Spider-Man
I did the heist bldg glitch and ended up swinging around under the city. You can get to some underground areas like subways and stuff. Pretty cool.
i did this long back. Gave me a minor heart attack until i was reminded about the fast travel being in the game.
I would have liked it if you could actually climb in the statue like in Spider man 2.

I don't know how I did it but the game didn't give me boundaries, I didn't do anything out of the ordinary and was standing on a car going on the Brooklyn bridge, and it kept driving and got to the point where the cars turn around, I realized that that's not right and I shouldn't be able to get that far so I kept going and ended up on the other side, but was able to go freely back and forth between there and New York.

They should just have a patch or dlc that makes the islands accesable. Swing by helicopter like SM2. The research cell phone signal mission allowed for swinging by helicopter so why not regular helicopters?

Wait! You can go to Liberty Island and Roosevelt Island in Spider-Man 2 the game but you can't in this far more advanced Spider-Man game?

I think the raft is just buggy in general because during a mission I got glitched into a building and couldnt get out unless I restarted the mission
To get to the raft you have to swim all the way to the other side of the city
