For the record, Jeff, it’s so admirable what you’ve tried to do with your tone of voice. Just a shame that you felt forced to. As someone with a natural dad/teacher voice like you, you should also know that your real community will support you regardless of your volume. So if you decide to go back to talking normally (aka “yelling”), we’ve got your back
@technolight650 From what I've heard watching the streams, it's been a thing for a while, but gotten more frequent as a result of gaining some new audience from a new game.
For the first auestion of the stream, I think there's space in this game for a "Great Ball" Item card that searches a stage 1 pokemon in your deck or a Supporter card that allows you to search a stage 2 pokemon. It could be better as a supporter card to limit its strength. making deckbuilders choose between double leaf or double stage 2 draw
Now is that in the Thumbnail a Duckdactyl or Aerofetch or a Farodactyl. What do you think guys. And yea i love this deck. The list of Lee , Marshadow and Duck never dissapoints
hey bro awesome videos! kinda off topic but how did you get the special shop tickets set of stuff like the coin sleaves etc, did you trade a triple crown o a bunch of 2* ?
21:19 +1 That MTG players are extremely toxic and overly and unreasonably loyalist for exactly the reason Jeff pointed out. To the point about variance: The coin flips in Pocket actually cleverly reflects how the RPG/video games play. Not every move has a 100% chance to hit (Hydro Pump, Thunder, Leaf Storm, etc) and the coin flips are a clever way of translating that game mechanic into Pocket. So it's not just variance for variance's sake, there's flavor to that choice as well (Much as I think the system could be tweaked to feel better, but that's an aside).
I’ve been playing 2 Weezing, 2 PigeotEx, 1 MewEx deck recently and the poison countering Marshadow is so nice. A lot of people don’t realize that it doesn’t trigger the bonus damage. It feels pretty good against almost any matchup (aside from the instant lose to a Misty flip games). I just wish I could find something to attack their bench in this deck (other than genome hacking their Hitmonlee).
If you are playing Gyrados into that kind of deck, you have to either take out the Hitmonlee or place down 2 magicarps at the same time with an evolution in hand. Then, they can only take out one at a time. It punishes the decks with the stall tanks that don’t attack.
I like using a genetic apex primape line, instead of Farfetch'd for some more consistent damage and mew plus BE to combat the stronger decks, and some extra health to work with, and I run the other Aerodactyl as well to give me an out in what otherwise would be unwinnable conditions
Jeff is there ANY deck that makes omastar really work?? I've been trying to get 2 copies of all 3 cards for a long time and now I finally have them, but I tried a few different types of decks with it and it's just way too inconsistent. and 2 copies of that evolution line take up so much space... I even met favourable matchups like gyarados ex and dragonite where if I put omastar in front of them after they come out I shut them down, but due to the fact that by the time these pokemon are ready the game has been going for a while, I struggled to manage to do just that, for example due to the fact that maybe the opponent already had gotten 2 points, or the only other pokemon I had to sacrifice to gyarados was an EX, which was worth 2 points and they already had 1... or again, maybe I had a sabrina but they had a full bench so I couldn't lure them out. one time I had omastar ready in the bench and dragonite just oneshot it with 150 damage. very frustrating.
@@HooglandiaPocketthank you for the insight Jeff! Spragles recommended your content and just got to say, you put out a lot of quality content, really enjoy your videos!
been running this deck for over a week I dont see the point of using a leaf card since you have 2 X speed and no card needs more than 1 energy to return, I use potions in case the game has a rough start. Most fun deck to play so far
The reason for this is because leaf is used as extra xpeeds in this situation. Its still good because u can switch pokemons easily and Hitmonlee and marshadow requires it a lot
Coming from the video game, I would want resistances added to the game, even if it's a small amount like -10, just because it's weird to see ground types weak to psychic like fighting types. Resistances can be to Pocket like second types are to the video games. They add variety for more opportunities for synergies.
I really don't understand the Golem Druddigon build. Golem isn't the kind of instawin payoff you want from a big wall strategy like that, and it really seems like Golem's biggest strength is that Graveler can survive a turn in the active spot. I just have a hard time understanding what the deck does other than snipe Magikarps with its 1 copy of Hitmonlee.
@holdingW0 No worries bro, Aero is one of the most balanced EX in the game that doesn't feel oppressive once it starts off. Some tips for you, if you see an Old Amber out there, be sure to Leaf or X Speed the Pokemon you want to evolve out of the Active Spot IF YOU CAN to a Mon who doesn't need to AND who doesn't lose tempo. The moment Aero catches you having to use raw energy to pivot into a Pokemon who isn't setup or if you're stuck in Active and need to evolve in Active THAT'S when it gets "oppressive", however unlike most EX Aero is very telegraphic. Keep practicing against it, don't feel discouraged, and continue learning. You'll get there!
I think manky version is better overall, surely you need to be going second most of your games or dodging the thick heal decks/ god drawing your aero going first to have a good run with this list which im sure this user did
@@HooglandiaPocket Drawing mankey on curve has rarely been an issue and half the time your coin flip makes up for it letting you 2 shot pika with heads, and importantly dealing 100 to zapdos which, the main downside is mew poke destroys it so if its m2 heavy like it was this tournament cycle farf feels nicer but I prefer locking in the pika matchup :)
@@HooglandiaPocket moving from 40 dmg to 50 opens up consistent egg kills which is how you make celebi favorable besides aero ok curve( plus occasional ralts kills)

what's the deal with the people getting annoyed about his voice? is it an all of a sudden thing or were people just annoying about it for a while

Truly an S tier thumbnail.
THIS IS THE BEST THUMBNAIL YOU'VE COME UP WITH SO FAR LMAO
Having a Farfetch'd wail on a Mewtwo while they set up is just... oh so satisfying. I love that little onion duck.
Another sweet vid. Loving the Pokemon pocket content - it’s helped me to realise it’s a way deeper game than it first appears!
i had to clean my glasses for this thumbnail and i dont even have glasses!
The thumbnail is great! 😂
I've been loving this deck since you uploaded the version with tauros/mew 👍

Just picked up my second full art marshadow while watching this vid 😅. Ending the year strong, happy holidays everyone!
Hey whats app do you use to stream?
OBS is the industry standard.
@ thank you. And thanks for the deck ideas. New sub 👍
I was able to use Mew to stretch kick a 20 hp golem on the bench yesterday. It was awesome lol
I built a similar Deck with the same Pokémon (+1 normal Aerodactyl) Last week and it's one of my favorites from this mini set.
Fire Thunbnail! now I need prehistoric sir fetch
Jeff correcting thenself after mis categorising frogs made me smile idk why though
Adding Mew EX to the arbok wheezing deck is actually really good v this deck
I'll have to see what I like better in this deck, Farfatch'd or Primeape
I played a bit of the primate build and was whelmed. Duck felt a lot more consistent
nice deck show off and greatly appreciated comment on the state of competitive card games, lovely game theory bits there
I forgot I watched some of this on stream, I thought I was going crazy for a second
Reggis thumbnails?
How's this feel compared to using the old list with 2 Lee, 2 Marsh, 2 Fetch, 1 Mew EX, 1 Tauros?
You're better in the fighting mirror and against more random stuff, but a touch worse against Mewtwo and Celebi.

I am not sceptical that venusaur could be good in the future simply because they could print a new venusaur card

It's better in the mirror, but a touch worse against Mewtwo.
yoo awesome deck
I was using Aerodactyl before it was cool!
I love this deck
if you think about it Aerodactyl is just a Fighting's Starmie
Kinda. Starmie with Gio hitting for 100 is a very different breakpoint.

Aerodactyl has to get nerfed.. its so oppressive
You have to be joking lol.
I hope this is sarcasm. It only works on Active Mon. It does nothing if you pivot to evolve or come in evolved
it's just an executor/ blaine counter that you can't tutor into your hand
Not sarcasm I'm just a new player. Just started this week and my wr against aero is abysmal. Forgive my noob comment

Completely disagree after playing both. Stage 1 takes more deck slots and is higher variance.
