I just bought a new brake lever rubber and gear shift rubber (both the same part number) you can still get them brand new. Actually, its amazing what you can still get brand new for these bikes from Suzuki.
I think you've used a 15 or 16 mm socket for the exhaust hanger. I replaced the kickstart rubber on my 1964 BSA Bantam with petrol pipe. It lasts much longer than the poor Chinese copies. Regards.
What do you know about different tank shapes for the 86? some are like yours, the flatter kind and some are more sloped at the back, like the 87s, Did they change the shape or was it market specific? Any thoughts.
These were good mail , with the 26 degree rake & 18 inch front wheel, the faster you went they better they handled

Yes a socket. (11/16 to be exact )

Hey Uhtred 1986 1100 had the slim square tank only then in 1987 it changed slightly , rounder and larger. Thanks for watching.
