I'd think hitting the end-caps with some 40-100 grit sandpaper (and knocking off the sandings) would get you even more contact. Then maybe a couple wraps of fiberglass? :-)
If you want something short and quick, this is the fastest way to do it. Glue in red plastic cap and done instantly. Drill fuse hole insert fuse and glue into place done instantly. Pour in you comp and glue in last red cap and you're ready to go. Very efficient !
The plugs are polyethylene. There are only a few specialty adhesives that will bond that material. (Very expensive, special order and limited shelf life) Dosen't matter how you prep the surface - PE is basically immune to bonding on a molecular level You can weld it with heat and running a bead of additional PE material to repair cracks in PE items (kayaks, sports equipment, etc.) - but bonding PE to a foreign material? It's tough.
To me using a paper plug with Gorilla Glue epoxy the paper in and then using clear silicone even just 3/16 will work fine and a good hold Plus using the method of spiking to me is the best method not the fastest
Would you say paper end caps are better then? I just ordered some tubes and plastic emd caps from you guys. Thank you very much. I used cheap glue and just the caps are blowing out of the tubes and the tube stays whole. I have to buy a good glue gun I see now. Thanks for the video!
Do you guys have any videos on your work. I tried all the glues, and it just blows the plug out the sides each time. I'm starting to think I have too much air inside.
@@MarkusWITH_a_ksounds like you’re not making your trash powder properly or are trying to use black powder. Has nothing to do with the plugs. A good flash powder doesn’t need much containment at all.
You should never use got glue or anything that will become a projectile, flash powder doesn't need all of those kinds of glue, just a paper end plug and white glue that's all that's required
Here u go again. If projectiles are an issue for u then u simply face the salute up OR face plugs away from shit u dont want hit. Ur not throwing them so directing the plug flight aint hard. 2: u can put enough glue in the plug to seal the plug and coat the caps, it wont hurt when flying. 3: paper and plastic caps will get blown thru if u use very reactive flash or will get blown out if u use slower flash. I tested all 3, im actually upset i bought thousands literally thousands of plastic plugs cuz i dont use em cuz they dont hit the same once u get above 10g. I'd find plugs where the pressure blew thru the plugs and not out of the middle of the tube. Just paper is fine with lil 3g salutes n such but the reactive shit i use will punch thru paper plugs and plastic once i start to approach 10g. I'll have to post a vid of tubes where i only coated the caps to seal the plug where the plug lip connects to the tube. Its all about keeping pressure in until it ruptures the MIDDLE of the tube. When u pick up the remnants of whats left, u dont wanna see anything but the tube split in 2 directly down the middle with the plugs still in it with no holes blown thru the plugs. But, with this reactive shit i use, i only rarely find whats left. Usually it just seems to disappear completely 🤣🤣🤣.

I did just that I put some hot glue on one that I didn't sand and one that I did and the one I Sanded was bonded really well

A even simpler solution, make a small ring inside each plug. It will allow the glue to fill a channel as it adheres to the cardboard.
Use wood glue for both paper or plastic plugs. Gorilla glue makes a great wood glue for end plugs.
Have you tried ruffing up the plastic with some sandpaper most glues dont bond to smooth surfaces

I noticed u didnt use Gorilla Glue Sticcs. I also noticed the u used more glue with the SuperStix plugs😂🤣😂
I use gorilla glue glue sticks and have the same results as these.
Agreed!!!!! Glue sticks top any kinds of super, crazy or gorilla glue
Show how you glue in the second plug.
Why? It would be the exact same thing.
Agree for plastic caps... But sawdust or paper plugs I would have to go with the gorilla glue or a type of epoxy...

Also pl adhesive would glue those caps in you wouldent get it out

I use Titebond 3 waterproof wood glue and it has been working really good for plastic caps and paper caps.

What about plain super glue and paper caps please answer
That's what i use for my salutes, i use the gorilla glue gel and paper end caps

How the hell do the chinese do it with one solid hot glue plug?!
They probably use paper disks before pouring in the hot glue or whatever they use.
