John is a complete stud! i know several of guys that entered the pro ranks and stoped racing LOCAL at 30 years old. i have so much respect for him. that would be so awesome if he raced one more year, or more.

I am from sweden and 9 of 10 tracks in sweden are made of sand. Here is my best tricks and tipses.
    1. Keep your focus far away, that helps you with the balance
    2. Keep about the same level of throttle through the hole course
    3. Brake before the corners and give gas when you are in the corners

I love riding in sand! Grew up in Florida and most of all the tracks are sand or sugar sand.

I used to think sand when it is damp made it easier because bike stay on top. But on the other hand dry sand move out of the way easier.

Go and checkout southwick in the early 2000s Then make a decision Plus US tracks are way more technical MXGP-2 to 4 jumps US-5 to 10 jumps

In norway, almost all tracks have sand with a little gravel-ish in it... Kinda bad :-)

I learned how to ride a dirt bike in Florida, so most of the places to ride are sand, so it doesn't even phase me anymore.

I'm exactly where you were. I'm learning. The sand here beats me up. The front wheel likes to do what it wants and I get arm pump. I'm getting use to the bike doing what it wants under me and learning to control it.

There isn't a dutchman who can stay with him ?? You must have been living under a rock : Jeffrey Herlings, the one and only king of sand!

It's literally how drifting works.... other than you don't turn the front wheel the opposite direction.

It's the only sand track on the AMA circuit in the u.s. asshole. We're not likely to take a month out to go to the Netherlands to race on one of your tracks. Smarten the fuck up!
